Well after years and years of giving business and clients to Portico, I have to move my business…read moreelsewhere. It really sucks when you develop relationships where you give and care about a business and that isn't reciprocated. I've given Portico thousands in business. I always tipped over and always made sure they were treated fairly. After the freeze I called John and told him my rug needed to be steamed out. Well he came out and I agreed to the drive cost and price to steam the rug. He took it for four days and I gave him plenty of time for it to dry. When he brought it back it was wrapped in plastic. I assumed it was dry so I went to sleep that night and left it the next day until I could get to it. When I went to unwrap it, the rug was wet. I had no idea and he didn't tell me. This meant he waited til the last minute to clean the rug before bringing it back. I indicated the rug at soured and he said he would come grab it and resteam it. A week later he had still not come back and the carpet just soured and sat there. I told him I'd like a refund and he did refund me. The issue is the rug was 350 and the service was 120. I chalked it up to a loss because I had used John for so long. Two months later I needed a quick steam on a Jeep and offered to drive to him to steam the front seats (a 10 min job), and I asked him to throw me a deal since we had the issue with the rug (I was thinking 40 dollars which is half the rate I normally pay for the whole vehicle). Since it was just two front seats and I was driving to him I though it was a win for him. Nope. 85.00 min. I think the two really great kids I met and used for 5+ years have since lost their customer service skills. Perhaps it's all about the dollar. I found a replacement at half the cost. It sucks I had to, but I'm better off for it now. I wish you guys well.

James also found that one of the ducts was closed which was an Ahh! Moment since we noticed little to no air flowing . I was shocked how bad our vents were. James and his colleague were very nice and helpful. They were careful and covered our couch to avoid getting debris and they even vacuumed after they were done. The only one problem was they left nails in two of our beds. He did suggest the UV light and will be coming back to install. James was very nice and even with expressing his recommendation, I never felt it was forced at all. Fair price for the service. I will update a follow up once we get the UV light installed.

We were most concerned with the pet urine stains that were all over the house. We chose Fiber Pro because it is a small family business. The owner, Floyd, does the cleaning and his wife, Melody, is the customer service rep. From the first call, they were professional, thorough, and friendly. She took time to ask questions about our house and needs. When we were scheduled to clean our house, it just happened to be the week of the cold front (20 degrees in Houston)! Melody called back to reschedule because the hot water hoses would not work properly in cold weather. She said they did not want to do a job if it could not be done correctly. We rescheduled for today and Floyd was here 15 min before schedule. He took his time - it took 4 hours for 4 rooms - and did an excellent job. He vacuums first (some places skip this step), then sprayed and used steaming hot water to clean. He grooms the carpet as well and it now looks like new again. We were going to replace the carpets due to the stains, but now it is so nice that we could go several years before replacing. I would highly recommend them. Prices are a bit more than the larger companies, but you get what you pay for and it is a great, personal job. He even did the hallways. We will use them again.

After everything was all said and done, we had an appointment on the day my mom was coming back home at 1pm. We arranged the ambulance to take her from the hospital to home and prepare to clean at that time (as we had no choice) and had set her up in another chair that was more challenging for her to sit in until the cleaners were done with that section of the house. THEY SHOWED UP 2 HOURS LATE. I ended up texting Usama asking what time the cleaners would come. If i didn't ask I would have never known they were coming 2 hours late!!! That means my mom would have to be in the chair for an additional set of hours. Fast forward the girls come, they were about to leave after two hours when they were supposed to be here 4 to 4 and a half hours.(time paid) I had to stop them before leaving and asked why they didn't even touch the big master bathroom. This was after we were going back and forth arguing about my mom having to get up because they mentioned that the floors would get dirty if they cleaned that room last. So we had to move my very sick mother into the living room so we can cater to their needs which infuriates me after thinking about it more. Especially since they ended up cleaning that area last anyways because they missed the entire master bathroom!! I checked around the house and there was dust all over the pictures and on top of surfaces everywhere. The poorest cleaning job I have ever seen in my life. And something that me and my family really needed due to my mom's condition. We asked why they didn't clean the ceiling fan and the cleaner answered, stating that they did not have the equipment to clean what was needed. I also noticed one of the workers seemed sick. And I saw her wipe her nose with one of the towels she was cleaning with and then began cleaning the kitchen surfaces. (On camera) I was so disgusted and angry that if I were to have said something I woukd have gotten into a fight. Disgusting and sloppy work on their end. My dad asked if either one of them felt sick to please let us know because my mom's is so sick herself. So the fact that I saw that really put me over the edge on top of a poor ass job. He kept offering to provide a redo of services even though I mentioned to him several times that my mom cannot be around the fumes in the same room. (Thus, another reason why we needed her in another room while cleaning). He kept asking if I wanted a redo and I kept saying no, until I just gave up and said, I'll call him back. A deep cleaning nightmare that led us nowhere and a few hundred dollars short with snot residue on the counters!
