While there are places on the internet one can get quality systems from, I'm a hands on person so I like to go in, check out computers and talk to people while customizing. Moreover, I like to walk around and Micro Center appeals to my inner nerd. So, what does Microcenter offer, well lots of computers, accessories and everything an aspiring nerd needs to enter the digital world in style. If you're a graphical artist, they have drawing tables and stylist, musically inclined they have adapters to cover that too along with software but I encourage research or talking to a sales rep before buying. How about that keyboard that fits those tired hands? I see a dozen options before we even get into the backlit keyboards. Mice with over 20 buttons for those hardcore gamers will also tempt you. How about a laptop for computing on the go? Well that "buying best" place can only dream of as many options. As for me, while I've built my computer before I decided to let MicroCenter take care of it. The installation cost was low and I was able to build my "super computer" for cheap, a warranty and it was done within three days. What was a lot of fun is the saleman and I talked for about 45 minutes about World of Warcraft b/c he's a player as well. Although he did try and sell me a monitor however I have that covered. I did browse the TV section out of curiosity and noticed their prices and inventory are competitive with other stores as well. I'll admit, I love this place and it's my first option when I need a computer. I like talking to people and discussing options rather than grabbing it off a website. Micro Center has an informed sales staff, a lot of inventory and competitive prices for everything you may need, including phones! My suggestion is stop on by, you won't regret it but be guarded you might buy more than you thought! Be strong Daniel-son!

I left for work out of state, (approximately 6/1/24) for a bit and come back and after summer to resolve the issue and was told my warranty has expired even when they knew there is a problem that wasn't resolved from before. So I have struggled on using the PC for only very light tasks, no real gaming. Now it won't even boot into Windows. So I get industrious and take the heatsink off and find the sticker on the heatsink wasn't taken off when I had overland Park microcenter build the PC for me. What a joke!!! After several weeks without hearing anything, finally called them to check in on the status only to find that during a customer software upgrade I had been lost in the shuffle. A dozen days later, called back only to find out that they were still working on options and would call back. No call came so I called again and was told that since our laptop was so old it was not really worth fixing (not terribly surprising, but I wanted to try!). As I mentioned the guys here are nice, so we brought in a second laptop for repair and decided to sell the first one to them for parts. (Recycling at it's best!) This time around I still found that if we didn't call them, we had no idea what was going on. In the end the second laptop was fixed to our satisfaction but we didn't know how much it was going to cost until we came to pick it up. When it came time to settle up the credit for the first laptop and the repair on the second, I noticed the coupon we had brought in when we dropped off the first laptop had been lost. Luckily when I pointed out it was missing from the final receipt they made good on the original offer. I like buying my own length of wires, checking out the new games and wondering aimlessly. I have a very expensive home theatre, a bunch of CDs, DVDs, Blu Rays, 4ks, Xbox and Nintendo games along with a Galaxy Fold 4 phone and accessories. I list these products b/c many of them aren't available at Best Buy anymore. With the advent of streaming, Best Buy no longer carries physical media. So, when you stream Toy Story 2 and say "hey, where's that scene with Stinky Pete?" well that's because Disney has altered the movie and unless you have a physical copy your memories are all you have of the scene. Or perhaps you purchased a game on Sony's streaming service, yup you don't own that either. My point is Best Buy isn't there to give you an option to streaming anymore and their floor space has opened up to even more boring and drab "knick knacks" instead of electronic goods. Now I will admit the people are very nice and the checkout lines are relatively fast! At this Best Buy employees are more than willing to help out with questions and they seek you out! I like good customer service, something that has been lost over the years. While I've been to several Best Buys recently, this one seems to have maintained their commitment to the "DIY" person ala Radio Shack back in the day (yes I realized I dated myself) with products and tools to run your own network, home theatre or computer area. So for instance, you need a long HDMI cable tonight, this Best Buy probably has you covered. As I stated, CDs, DVDs, 4ks and even a robust game selection for the major consoles is gone. Yes, they do carry a limited selection of games, most have been replaced by some odd toys like Funko Pop, Disney or something of the like. Come to think of it, I forgot to check on records! As for gaming consoles, they do have a selection of controllers, computers do have a few mice and keyboard options and the stereo selection is ok with a broad range of products in differing price ranges. In Summary, Best Buy is relatively competitive with pricing and will have many desirable products on hand. The people are nice and if you're in a rush they're pretty good about having short lines. I've been to a lot of Best Buys and this is by far one of their stores as they still carry a lot of things from yesteryear. Combine that with a solid staff, fast lines and safe shopping and this is sure to be the Best Buy for you!

When the macbook, which is nearly 9 years old started lagging and needed new ram, I bought it and install it myself. Now I wanted to up date the PC. While the MacBook was easy, the PC immediately crashed. It took 10 minutes to get to the operating system and then it couldn't find Windows 10. Had I screwed up my computer? I immediately thought of Geek Squad at Best buy. There was a store down the street and they were reputable right? A minimum of $85 + parts. So I found these guys on Yelp, free estimate yaay! I took it to their shop and the repair guy quietly listened to my story and then told me he would not repair my PC. I asked why. He said: "You obviously know how to install RAM. You bought some bad RAM, remove it and return it. Once you remove it, it should go back to it's old self." I went home and did it and lo and behold it started working fine again, new ram on order from Amazon. Direct Computer outlet could have charged me, but they were honest and upfront. This is service you don't get anymore, as everyone has to hit quota numbers now. If you have a PC and want an honest assessment, I suggest these guys.

The Guy's name is Phil and the nice, sweet lady that works there with her little adorable child were awesome they went far and beyond' what any store would normally do just to help and please their customer' I was impressed after buying the first laptop. it was blazing fast! faster than any computer we had so I came back to them and asked for two more computers... and then just recently a few days ago I just came back to get two more! laptops. if you don't believe me, you can ask me or leave me a comment and i will even provide anyone with my personal phone number to verify I'm a 100% real customer and person. i can also provide pictures of my laptops as well. The seller wasn't sure if the Johnson Drive store had it but I went there first and wow! It was like being in a toy store. Tons of neatly arranged Mac Book Pros, iMacs, PC laptops, towers, displays, TVs, mobiles, refurbished and really well priced. And all backed with 90 day warranties and an interesting upgrade scheme where anytime in the next six months you can trade up for, I believe, $39 to a faster version of the model you bought. I rate them highly because the service was excellent. They let me test the epson with my MBP. On another visit a chill employee asked if I had questions. He and the others were all helpful and informed. Just a great place to check out for your next computer.

He offered us to make a Genius Bar appointment if we wanted to spend more time and one was available in less than 10min so we stayed. Justin worked with us during our Genius Bar appointment and we would highly recommend him to anyone who needs help and we would want him in the future. He checked our iPhones and explained their status and all options to continue using them and guidance if we wanted to pursue wanting new ones. There was no high pressure sales tactics. He presented the facts and we are now armed to make a decision in the best interest of our needs and finances.
