The staff is amazing -- genuinely friendly, attentive to every detail, and clearly working as a team. Even the receptionist, Hannah, was out on the floor welcoming guests and helping wherever needed, which really stood out. You can tell there's a strong operation behind the scenes, and it shows in the overall experience. The restaurant is clean, bright, and incredibly welcoming -- truly the definition of social. It's a place that feels energetic yet comfortable, whether you're there to catch up with friends or enjoy a relaxed brunch. This visit, I tried the raspberry crème brûlée doughnut, and wow -- pure perfection. It came out warm, with a rich custard filling that was absolutely to die for. One of those dishes you're still thinking about after you leave. Between the food, the atmosphere, and the outstanding service, this place continues to impress. Enjoyed my steak and eggs. My husband enjoyed his omelets. I did not enjoy the white toast. They are so soft like it just came out of a bag. Maybe toasted for 15 seconds. I've never had a untoasted toast in a restaurant in my life. Surely disappointed me. Also no water refill until we asked for it after we asked for the check. The ambiance when you walk in was very welcoming. The music was uptempo and the decor was very modern. The restaurant looked really clean as well. The service was pretty good. The waitress was very nice and was patient with us since it was first time there. The menu itself had an array of modern items for everyone. It had delicious pancakes, omelets, burgers, tacos, mimosa flights, coffee, etc... its brunch menu is really great. Overall, this was a great place to have brunch by yourself or with a big group. Sooo excited to have a nice brunch place on Riverside! We are big BCFR fans and Hideout fans so I was exited to see this location opening. They did a complete overhaul of the interior, and it now looks bright, clean, and chic. The menu is vast, with something that would appeal to any taste preferences. Even though they were a new restaurant, and very busy, the food came out very timely and hot. They had fresh squeezed OJ! My omelette was well cooked, and they had the first hollandaise that I have perhaps ever liked. I loved the fruit cup, as well as the lemon blueberry pancakes. My only criticism is that I would've loved a little bit more lemon flavor. My hubby was very happy with his eggs Benedict. He wished for crispier hashbrowns, but I maintain he should've asked for crispy hashbrowns. Can't wait to come back and try some of the breakfast cocktails and explore the rest of the menu! A friend suggested we check out AM Social for brunch. On a Saturday morning passing through Rockford, we stopped solely on their recommendation, and we are glad they told us about it. Its location is on the end of a strip mall and shares a parking lot with other businesses. The atmosphere is a casual but refined space with a dining area and bar location, and even what appears to be either a private room or an overflow area. Our server, Drea, was polite and informative. My lady is Gluten-Free so she had to ask about some of the dishes. If Drea didn't know, she found the answer promptly. She also made some great suggestions. The entire time we were there, our coffee and waters never went empty. If it wasn't Drea, it was another employee noticing they were getting low and asking if we wanted refills. We couldn't have asked for better service. As for the food. Where to begin. My lady ordered the Alps omelet. She insisted I try some so I could see how delicious it was. It was fantastic. As for me, I was stuck between two choices so when I asked Drea her opinion. She told me that The Hangover A.M. Social Bowl was popular. She also suggested that I get extra Chipotle Crema for dipping the Quesadilla. It was a great suggestion and worth the extra cost. The portions are large, there was more than enough for us to take home and have for breakfast the next day. In case you're wondering... what we ordered reheated well. Came here on Monday at 1300 or so. Mediums crowd which means we got seated quick. Ambience is bright m, sunny, cheerful. Waitress was friendly without being OTT. Food. Had the Argentine churrasco steak rice bowl which was tasty, reasonably portioned (thank god, it was not enough to feed Bangladesh!) with quality over quantity. Please see pic. Ambiance: Literally the best part of the restaurant. It's beautiful, new, and clean. Parking sucks. Good luck if you come at peak time. Food: I can only speak to what I got. It was mediocre. My chicken fried chicken was tender. Gravy was meh. Scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and pancakes were the sides. I've had better pancakes at Cracker Barrel. My food came to the table lukewarm. My friends got omelets. They said their food was good. Portions were standard sized. At Jessica's in Roscoe, I've had portions big enough to eat again once or twice at home. Service: Our waitress was friendly and offered suggestions to us as first time guests. The hostess also greeted us nicely and said goodbye to us on the way out. The lady manager, however, pretty much ruined our experience. She could have chosen to ask us kindly to finish up and leave. Since she chose to be passive aggressive about it, I will not be returning. Point being....its just breakfast/brunch food. I have a confession, I've already been here three times and they've only been open like a week and a half. The place definitely had a nice makeover and brightened things up compared to the previous businesses that were in this location. Very cute spot for brunch. The service has been great, especially for being open such a short amount of time so far, everyone has been super attentive. On my second visit, we were notified that the kitchen was slightly backed up so we appreciated that we knew we were going to be waiting a little longer. On our third visit, we had a large party and the food came out quick. I have not been disappointed in any item that we have ordered yet. Down south benedict, fresh squeezed, orange juice, loaded, bloody Mary, Barbacoa chilaquiles, LP avocado toast. The sonoma breakfast sandwich was more on the basic side, the avocado was not ripe enough, but the upgrade to the maple sweet potatoes was amazing. Kids love the Mickey Mouse pancakes. They attempt to make it upscale, but it's simply average and lacking in flavor. I understand they are trying to make everyone happy, but they're playing it safe by not taking any risk at all. It was easy to move through the filled-to-the brim restaurant and the staff was solicitous and helpful in getting the women situated. Despite the amount of business, the orders came in good time. The food was good; the service was better. The owners came by to check in, which one might expect in a new place, but they seemed sincerely interested in providing a good experience. In my experience, good service seems to be under-prioritized of late. The space was bright but needs a bit of noise dampening.
