Hired this company to replace my water heater. This was after my insurance company said I had to replace it because it was 16 years old. I went and purchased a Rheem 50 gallon heater at Home Depot and hired Ivan to handle the installation. He did a great job. Put in new heavy duty valves. Called to fix the clogged toilet came fast he said it is going to be 175 for unclogging then said he has to remove the toilet to unclog and it would be $500 instead of $175 I agreed. he said he unlogged it. I came home next day used the toilet twice and it was clogged again I called him back, he said there's problem with sceptic tank. I have a running toilet that is driving me bonkers. Wasting water so I turned the key. Not going to wait for my landlord so no problem I will pay out of pocket. I went on Yelp to find a plumber that is near with great reviews so I found this one. I am a no nonsense straight shooter - tell me the price - be on time and do the work and all is good. Communication is key. Time is money right? Ivan (I assume Owner and the plumber) was polite when I called on a Sunday inquiring about his service and I told him I found him on yelp and loved the reviews. He told me wait until Monday as a Sunday emergency call would be $350. I said no problem. Monday 8am. He asked for pictures I sent him multiple to be thorough. He told me the prices. I'm thinking for a flapper - ok whatever. I'll pay just stop the water from running (btw I don't pay for water but helllllo the environment so that's why I turn the key) He was not at my apt at 8am and I didn't get a text or call so I text him asking him if he was still coming because I was missing work. Ivan stated yes he was running a little tardy (should have called buddy as a courtesy) No problem .... you can even park in one of my spaces because parking at my building is a challenge. He gets there tells me he doesn't have the piece will have to pick it up and he will see if he can come back same day if not we can arrange. I said no problem just let me know. That was Monday by Wed I sent him a text - see pictures with no reply. People want customers but get lazy when customers are throwing money right at them for a flapper. I mean $135-175 and I could change the whole Toilet for $250! What a disappointment. Maybe it wasn't a big enough job for him but a follow up would have been professional and accepted - no harm no foul. Everyone has the right to make money and take the jobs they want. But don't waste my time. So since he didn't give me his time .... and my toilet is still running .... He fixed the problem but I opted to have him also do a camera snake to be 100% sure the issue was resolved (he did not push this service on me, I insisted on it). Do yourself a favor and find another plumber. When Ivan from AM Plumbing first came out to replace my water heater, I was satisfied with their service. Fast forward 6 months and an inspection on that unit's exhaust is needed in order to complete some roof work. I called Ivan to come out and do that. He looked everything over and noticed a few things that were not up to code. He told me he would fix them and complete the inspection. After nearly 3 weeks, I haven't heard back from him. This is his own work, his own installation, that is sub-par, doesn't meet code, and won't pass inspection. He knows it was his original responsibility to do this work properly and acknowledged he hadn't. Now he's ghosting me to avoid completing the work. Now I have to find another plumber to fix it and go after AM in court over damages and expenses. read more

Called Ivan and he responded via text right away. I explained that I had a leak by a bathroom drain but I could not find the source. Ivan checked out the bathroom and recommended that he use a camera and snake the main line. He reported to me that there were several places where the pipe was clogged, and he got most of it out. After a few days the leak reappeared. I called Ivan and told him the problem, he told me he was in the middle of a job and would call me as soon as he was done. After not hearing from him at the end of the day I called him and left a voice message and a text. After getting no response, I called several times the next day and sent text messages. After getting no response it occurred to me that he was avoiding me. I texted him using a different phone like a new customer and he responded right away. I told him who I was and to not bother because I was calling another plumber. I called South End Plumbing and they found the problem in 10 minutes - a leaking shutoff valve under the sink.
