Absolutely do not trust this company -especially for something as important as a wedding. We contacted AM Tours in January to book two shuttles for our April wedding, and received confirmation, including an invoice from Steve. We were told we were "penciled in," and at no point did they say our booking was tentative or at risk. Fast forward to March, and my wedding planner reaches out to reconfirm. Their response? "Unfortunately, that day is currently booked." No warning. No courtesy call. No heads-up that they were considering giving our spot away. We were left scrambling to find transportation for two shuttles for our guests with barely a month to go before the wedding. I don't know whether they forgot about our booking, double-booked, prioritized someone else, or if it was just very poor organization and communication - but whatever the reason, it was incredibly disappointing and stressful. If you're planning an event then do not risk it with AM Tours. We were lucky to find a last-minute replacement, but the anxiety they caused was completely avoidable. So I've been sitting on this review for almost a year. I contacted AMT in September 2022, 2 months prior to my wedding on 11/11/22 because we needed limo service from Ala Moana Hotel to Honolulu Country Club. After some back and forth we finally figured out the details (which limo on the way to venue,which bus to bring us back to the hotel, pick up times, total cost). Steve was responsive and professional. 1 week prior to our wedding he contacted me to confirm the pick up times and limo type....and the pick up time was WRONG. Not only was the pick up time wrong, but now the 12 pax limo I reserved was no longer available. I mean, thank god he contacted me a week in advance, right? Well, they didn't have any limos available to accommodate more than 8. So, now we go back and forth again, looking through our email communication trying to find where the mix up was. We found where the miscommunication was and it happened to be that Steve entered the wrong time. He was very apologetic and tried his best to contact other limo companies and find me a limo that met my requirements. After 3 days of trying to accommodate my original limo reservation, unfortunately, we had to settle for an 8pax limo. I was really stressed out about the situation. I mean, a week before the wedding I find out we don't have the 12 pax limo we reserved and then 4 days before the wedding I find out we only have an 8 pax limo. It was a really stressful week. Now, I don't have anything bad to say about Steve or the company. He always remained professional and responsive during our communication. Even though he got the time wrong, he didn't make up any excuses and took accountability for his mistake. He was apologetic and tried his very best to accommodate our transportation. Even with the mistake, I appreciate the accountability. I also have no complaints with his customer service. He honored us a discount, which I felt was a reasonable amount. As a small business owner myself, I understand the importance of keeping my customers happy and providing the best service possible. Even if we make a mistake, we will try our best to make it up to our customers. Happy customers, good reviews, and referrals is what keeps us in business. I found AM Tours Hawaii and decided to entrust these guys with transporting eight of my loved ones to and from the airport. I also booked them to take my family around the island for a day where they visited the Dole plantation, Hale'iwa town,  lanieaka beach (to see the turtles and Chinaman's hat), Pali lookout, and returned to Waikiki. On another day, they transported my family to the Polynesian Cultural Center and the Paradise Cove Luau. I am so glad I booked with them. I recently returned from a mini-vacation in Waikiki. It was an impromptu trip taking advantage of cost-effective airfare from San Jose. Since I knew it would be a quick 3-day turnaround, I knew I didn't need a rental car since hotel parking will break any sort of savings a group of 6 could achieve. I'm usually hesitant to use under-reviewed businesses on Yelp, but figured why not try it out since they offered 20% off if you mentioned this ad and the pictures of the vehicles looked very clean. Since there were 6 of us, it made perfect sense to split a shuttle. A large SUV with parking fees, to kick it in DT Waikiki, made little sense. We got picked up in their Sprinter which was super clean and air conditioned. Plus star for living up to your pictures! The driver was also very kind to take us to convenient store for us to pick up some bare essentials and booze! The driver explained they can also do charters for tours around the island. I will definitely give them a look when I return later this Fall with my relatives. I thought the convenience coupled with the quality of vehicle was worth the $$. read more

I had some family come in from the mainland for a wedding in Waikiki. Many of them had never been to Hawaii and wanted to see the North Shore, swim with turtles and basically do things not located in Waikiki. But of course there was no volunteers to drive everyone to the north shore and many of my family members should not be allowed to rent cars and drive in an unfamiliar location. I looked into renting a van and driving it myself but wasn't confident I'd be able to park a huge van. AM tours was the perfect solution. The van we rented for the day came with a friendly driver, picked up the fam in Waikiki (waited for the ones that were running late) and drove us all out to the north shore in traffic! He stopped wherever we wanted to take pics and took the pics so we could all be in them! He even did a last minute stop at Pali lookout when we asked. Got lunch at Giovanni's. We could even stop at tamuras for poke and a few beers because no one had to be designated driver. Stopped at the north shore beaches. So glad I wasn't the one trying to park and keep track of everyone out there. And we could all nap on the way back to town after a long day. I would definitely book with AM tours the next time I have family coming in. It's basically your own private tour of the island in a clean, air conditioned van at a super reasonable price when you split it up among the adults. And no one gets stuck driving. read more

We came into hawaii to take some time away from work and to reconnect with nature. We didn't rent a car from the airport as we were staying in Waikiki. We figured we would plan a specific day away from Waikiki, where we would need drive. One of those days we planned was an outdoor hike excursion suggested by Steve himself. We had a group of 4 adults, and we chartered a vehicle for about 8 hours. They picked us up at our hotels really early and drove us to the hike trailhead. We were able to do Kokohead in about 2 hours, and we were able to call the driver to pick us up. From there, they took us to breakfast/brunch in Waikiki. From there our next stop was Waimanalo Beach. We had packed the chairs and umbrellas earlier that morning as we knew it was a outdoor day. We got to the beach and we were able to hang out for about 90 minutes. We next went into Kailua to grab lunch and then back to Waikiki. The driver allowed us to stop at 7/11 to pick up some snacks and also at Foodland for some Poke! Anyone who has been to Honolulu/Waikiki knows what a nightmare it is trying to navigate around the city without driving around in circles. Hubbie and I were on our honey/baby moon in Waikiki and decided two days before we left that we needed to explore more than Waikiki, and see if we could have a tour of the island. Normally, I don't do many reviews but I was so impressed with AM Tours I felt they deserved a shout out! My cousin was in town for her wedding (originally from Hawaii, but living in OR). She needed limo services to do her bridal photos and was referred by a old high school friend to AM. They picked her and the wedding party up in a brand new Lincoln MKT limo which took them all over town to do their photos. It was nice and clean which was great so she didn't get her beautiful dress dirty, and the driver was so friendly and accommodating. Even though some locations didn't go according to plan, the diver was more than willing to adjust to their needs. She was also impressed with the driver's knowledge and suggestions on where to get some good photos around town. For the great price $85/hr I believe, it was well worth getting their services. Not having to worry about driving, navigating, parking, etc was such a relief for her and having the whole group together was great! I came here for a bachy with 9 girls, transportation can by pricey but Steve gave us an excellent price for limo transfer to hotel and airport. We had a huge bachelor party in Hawaii and I was in charge of organizing the Golf Day. We were staying in Waikiki and we needed to move 12 of us along from Waikiki to Hawaii Prince Golf Course (Ewa Beach). And, over half of us had our golf bags. Originally we wanted to just drive separately, but no one wanted to be the designated driver. Everyone was going to have some drinks (It is a bachelor party afterall!). I literally called a day before the event and was able to get a 24 seat mini bus charter for us. Owen (our driver) picked us up promptly at 7am and got us to the course in time for us to warm up for our tee time. I originally had set a 5pm pick up but I called half way through knowing we needed to be picked up early. They were able to accommodate with no issues. On the way back, Owen stopped off at a Don Quixote for us so we could grab some more beers. We were 15 minutes over our time, and they did mention they would charge for time over the charter. But since it was only 15 minutes, my driver said it was cool! Thanks Owen! We used their Yelp deal so it was a great price compared to the other places I called. Had I known of AM Tours prior to the trip, we wouldn't have rented cars and would have just used them exclusively. They also give tours of the island as well but we didn't get a chance to do that this trip. Definitely will use them next time I am back on Oahu! read more

Be wary of leaving anything on this companies bus! While wearing a pair of boardshorts with very shallow pockets, my phone was left behind on the bus. Thanks to iCloud, I was able to track it the second I got off the bus and followed it to its home base while at the same time attempting to contact the owner to inform him to reach out to the driver to let him know that a phone was left behind. The owner of the companies cell phone remained off for the following 4 days. He decided to take a little trip of his own to another island and didn't think to leave any alternative contact information to get in contact with someone that could help. So for the next 2 days, I had the pleasure of following my phone around until it was sent to the lovely country of China. The owner finally contacted me 4 days later once the phone was already in another country and said there's nothing that can be done. He refused to take responsibility for the phone not being returned and the driver claims he checked the bus once it was back at the lot and he found nothing (even though it was ringing all night as I frantically attempted to call it over and over while I tracked to. Point of the story, I'm out a new iPhone and some lucky guy in China has a new phone due to dishonesty and an immoral business. I would recomend using one of the other lovely bus companies that will be honest and return anything found on board after giving a ride. If you do choose to go with this company be sure to keep all your belongings in check and ensure that nothing at all gets left behind. read more

During the Labor Day weekend I was part of a wedding party that used the AM Tours bus services to transport us to the wedding venue. The bus service did an outstanding job, and I had a great time. The bus driver was very friendly, and he had a welcoming manner. Due to an open bar wedding I ended up forgetting my phone on my seat of the bus, and by the time I realized the bus was already gone with the night ending. I wanted to get in touch with the company on Sunday but they were closed. Monday they were closed as well due to the holiday and I flew back home this day to my home in Las Vegas. I was upset I left behind my phone, but it was a learning lesson that I had to face. Steve Chu which I believe has managerial role with this company contacted me that my phone was found on one of the buses, and immediately shipped it to Las Vegas. I received it in 2 days, and it felt like a dream. It was a mistake on my part to have left it behind, but to have back in my possession felt unreal. I grew up in the Bay Area, CA and if you lost something you would never get it back, it would of been stolen or sold for profit. This company is well trusted, honest, and all around a great company. From the hospitalty of the bus driver, to the efforts of management. The bus service exceeded my expectations, and the company went above and beyond. AM Tours was one of the best parts of our recent wedding weekend in Hawaii! Steve was so helpful with everything, even when we kept changing plans and needing extra information from him. We had started out with needing transportation to and from a beach which was all set up until we needed to make it a bus tour instead. I was recently in Honolulu with a party of 16 and we decided to do a 2 day guided tour. AM Tours was absoultely the perfect choice! We began planning our tour a couple of weeks before arrival and communicated several times via email. Wei-Wei and Steve we're both very responsive and extremely accommodating! Even down to the last day when we had to make a last minute change because 4 members of our party had travel issues and would have missed the first day of the tour had we not made adjustments. We hosted an international workshop at UHM and needed a shuttle service for about 65 to 70 participants from Waikiki to UHM and transportation to and from Coconut Island, UHM, and Waikiki for about 25 people for a field trip. I asked several transportation/tour/bus companies for quotes, and Steve got me back first (it was really quick) and he gave us the best price for their services. I was a little concerned at the beginning because the AM Tours quote was a lot cheaper than other companies', but I shouldn't have worried at all. Steve and Weiwei always gave me really quick and thorough responses to my emails, and they were flexible about the payment method. Their vehicles were nice and clean with their cute rainbow logo on. The vans had a microphone system so I could make some announcement while we drove to Coconut Island. Drivers were friendly, super punctual, and professional. They were at the pickup locations way before the promised pickup time. I got to talk with one of the drives, Tom, a lot and he was extremely nice, friendly, and knowledgable about the Hawaiian history. One thing I have to mention in this review is Steve's warm kindness. Our participants were from all over the world and they were not familiar with Waikiki at all. So I wasn't sure if they can figure out the pickup location. I told this to Steve and he kindly went to the two pickup locations in Waikiki and took a whole bunch of pictures so that I could give those pictures to the participants with a map.
