This is probably the worst tour I've ever been on. The driver was so rude to multiple guests - one woman disclosed medical information to him when she was the second to last person on the bus, and he announced it when everyone got back on. Another couple got off the bus at drop off, and he said something negative about them. Multiple people would ask him questions at stops and he'd say, "I was just talking about that. Were you not paying attention? What were you doing?" He made comments multiple times about "language barrier" because there were Asian tourists on the bus and he was like, "well they can't understand me." BUT his talking was horrible! I learned next to nothing about the history or locations we visited on the Oahu circle tour! Why? Because he spent the entire time rambling about random things. Then he would sidestep, say something random, and then say, "But more on that later." He spent 20 minutes talking about all the other tours GoTours provides, the people who work there, how to call the office to try to get a discount. WHAT? Talk about Hawaii! The lunch at the Polynesian Culture Center felt like an enormous rip off. He spent hours talking about how we had to pick our lunch - "not paid for by the tour, it's a separate charge." He said it wasn't mandatory and yet he pushed the lunch menu over and over again and challenged a woman when she didn't pick something. He said "I don't know if there'll be any other food spots." So, a majority of us just picked something. I was seated next to a couple and we all commented on how scummy it felt, because the Polynesian Culture Center is FULL of food stalls. I would have much rather have had my choice of food over a pre-fix lunch menu at a chain restaurant where we can't even get a class of water (nope, drinks are $4 each for a bottle or can). Are you joking? We stopped at the Dole Plantation for 45 minutes. Not enough time to do the maze or train, we can't see the actual plantation... so it's 45 minutes for a gift shop? Seriously? The entire day felt like one big sales pitch / commercial. It was HORRIBLE. read more

Today while on our vacation in beautiful Oahu Hawaii we decided to take "The Oahu Circle Island Tour with Byodo in Temple" it was great!! Our Driver for the tour today was Tim! Tim was great from the moment he pulled up to pick us up from Ross. Tim made sure to share lots of Hawaiian culture and cuisine with us. We seen beautiful sights all around the island of Oahu! Tim should be applauded for his dedication and commitment to ensuring that the customers are always happy. Lunch was delicious at Tanaka Shrimp Market Tim was funny and he was very kind and knowledgeable about the island. Tim has that extra measure of care and respect for his customers! Took the Pearl Harbor tour today. Were told we would be picked up by a neat double decker bus, a VERY old little tiny bus that was about at max capacity showed up LATE! Given some history on the way to Pearl Harbor, but more jokes about how much money the tourists made or were spending. Very poor guidance given when we went in, thought we had paid the money for tickets and reservations, immediately had to register for stand-by when we arrived and the guide told us they had shut down tours the day before and it was up to them if they would again today. We were misdirected to the boat rather then to the theater, once back from the memorial we attempted to head back to the theater but had just missed a showing and it was an hour wait for another. We also learned at that point you could not take anything into the theater but water, after stopping by the snack bar.... Have now been sitting in the bus parking lot for over an hour just waiting to leave. read more

First tour experience in Hawaii ! We were picked up on time ! IAN our tour driver is excellent and informative of Hawaiian culture! Our ride to the Waimea Waterfall and Dole Plantation was smooth and we arrived safely to each destinations. Our lunch was well organized by Ian getting our order numbers and were called in before our arrival. Tanaka Kahuku Shrimp eatery had delicious menu of shrimps!! Tour bus was kept clean and chairs were comfortable! We went on the Pearl Harbor National Memorial , USS Arizona tour today, Jan 2! It was Amazing! We started right off the bat with the ferry ride out to the USS Arizona Memorial, it was moving. Now back at the tour center we watched the 23 min video of the attack, Informational. We did a little shopping in the gift shop, Awesome! At 12pm we were back on the bus headed to our prospected hotels. Our driver/tour guide Kanoe was very Friendly and Knowledgeable! It was a pleasure riding the bus and touring Pearl Harbor! A fabulous day with Bill On the Circle Island Tour with Byodo in Temple. Extremely informative and interesting with details that show a love for O'ahu and a lifetime of gathering knowledge. Beautiful, scenic locations to take photos, purchase souvenirs and learn historical and fun facts. Lunch stop was excellent! I recommend the garlic butter or the spicy garlic shrimp, both came with rice and a slice of pineapple. In addition to the souvenir shop next door to Tanaka Shrimp , there is a local artisan shop next door that has some really nice and affordable pieces. We purchased this trip through the Go City pass and strongly recommend it for this and other excursions. read more

Researching multiple "around the island" tours and this one filled all the things I wanted. If you want a smaller closer knit tour then do this. Only around 20 people on a small tour bus was so much better than the bigger 100+ tours that I was comparing it to. We stopped at many photo op spots and RJ our tour guide was awesome to point out other historic spots along the way. We were able to try local food, shrimp trunks, dole whip, Mac nuts, and Kona coffee. No pressure to buy things at each spot which was also appreciated. The waterfall is a must (if you like swimming) with refreshing water and a nice botanical garden. If you want food/drinks/alcohol then you can get some at the botanical garden as an fyi. Wished I knew this before! Overall a great relaxing day trip! read more

While I very much enjoyed my circle tour with Rocky on the 18th and he was very informative, they need a massive policy change. If someone has an active cough, they shouldn't be allowed on the bus that seats 25 people. We were in close quarters from 6:45 AM - 4 PM and this old woman in front of me from Georgia was coughing the entire trip. Naturally she also sat at our table for lunch at Pounders at PCC where she told us she had just been on a cruise where COVID and a sore throat was being passed back and forth, but "it was fine because she was on day 2 of (her) Zpack." Guess who got a sore throat ON MY BIRTHDAY a few days later?! Me. Now I'm up writing this review at 3:45 AM because I can't sleep with this sore throat. Just what everyone wants on their vacation. Hawai'i is expensive to get to from everywhere and being sick on vacation is not cool. I don't care if you get on the bus with a mask, are on meds, whatever. If you have an active cough, you should be required to reschedule and be barred from riding for the health and safety of every other customer. September 2024. read more

I wish there were 0 star ratings. All day phone tag waiting for a simple accommodation to get our $600 worth after a "strong wind and rain storm " all over the news and word of mouth complicated our plans. Several people told us roads would be flooded. It's currently sunny and nothing can be done. While you can't control the weather, nothing can be done to make us whole. I would actually strongly recommend skipping Hawaii all together. Not worth the time, money or headache to get the customer service folks to actually do their jobs. I do NOT recommend Go Tours Hawaii. I attended the tour "Hidden Gems of Oahu with Byodo In and Turtle Spotting" with Go Tours Hawaii using the Go City pass. I thought that this tour would be a great way to see the island without the stress of driving myself on unfamiliar roads, but it ended up not being worth the time or money. We spent only 5-20 minutes at each location and the tour ended 2 hours earlier than the Go City/Go Tours confirmation stated, arriving in Waikiki at 3 pm rather than 5 pm. The tour guide did not give us enough time to appreciate the temple or sight a turtle on the beach. However, we did spend 35+ minutes in a parking lot that smelled strongly of propane fuel waiting for everyone to purchase (and tour guide to receive free) Leonard's malasadas, a stop not on the itinerary. We also spent over an hour in various gift shops. I understand that some stops are just for a quick photo or to look at the view, but I would have appreciated more time at the Temple, Sunset Beach and the turtle-spotting beach. 20 minutes is not enough time to walk to the location from the parking spot and explore (even less time if you need to use the restroom.) It also would have been nicer to visit one of Oahu's botanical gardens rather than the many boring gift shops. The Go City pass cost over $100 per day and since Go City stated that the tour ended at 5 pm and that you cannot schedule the luau the same night, we had not scheduled any additional Go-City activities that afternoon. So it cost over $100 for this tour. Expensive and a waste of time. read more

Charlie took such great care of us and was so informative with all his stories and trivia about the island. He treated us like Ohana and was so patient, making sure no one was left behind. I booked Go Tours Hawaii at Waikiki with Makani who works at the Go Tours Hawaii storefront off Kalakaua Ave in Waikiki. Makani is your man! We booked the Island Tour and had John the driver and Noah our tour guide who both were FANTASTIC! John was such a safe and great driver and Noah was the truth! I appreciated how he was able to balance the light hearted fun, information, and kept it real with Hawaii history. We learned some fun myths and he even shared some personal stories of family and friends which truly made us feel more connected. The personal touch was great. Noah was also very hands on with the stops we had and would help out vendors who had DELICIOUS snacks and foods! Do not pass up on the plantain lumpias! WOW!! I wish I bought more! We felt taken care of and enjoyed every bit of the mini adventures of the Island Tours with the Waimea waterfall swim. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this tour!! Noah was an amazing tour guide and literally went above and beyond to make sure all of us were having a great time. He likes to speed up the process to make sure we're ahead of the line and don't have to wait on anything and squeezes in some extra places to see. He's very adaptable to what's going during the tour as it seems there was some sort of car accident that both the driver and Noah were able to avoid so we wouldn't be stuck in all the traffic. Kudos to them!!! They're also extremely informative on the island's history and makes sure we aren't overwhelmed with information. They also recommended some great places to eat around in Waikiki, which was super helpful!! This tour has EVERYTHING you want to visit in Oahu so if you don't want to drive, I highly recommend this place because you get to see everything in one day and more!!! The reason for 4 stars is that we only had a short time in each location (even lunch was 45 min) and got back to the city by 3:00-would have loved to have the extra hour advertised to have more than 15 min at several locations. If you have a limited time, or are looking for a quick way to see several famous spots of the whole island in a day, this is your way to go. We did a day tour stop to Waimea Falls. It was perfect with amount of time for us to have a nice stroll to the falls and float around. The lunch option was limited, where they drop off all the tour buses into one place. Though, we didn't expect much more from this tour format. The garlic shrimps was actually tasty and better than some place in Waikiki we had tried. Kanamu was an amazing guide with incredible knowledge of the island history and its rich culture. I love that she also shared the history as it is, not sugar coating the dark history or the struggle that the natives have had. Would definitely go on a tour with Kanamu again! read more

We paid 154 dollars for tour to waimea falls and dole plantation the main focus of tour we got to waimea falls couldnt go to it cause they had a drought overnight so no wayer in fountain and dole plantation had a piwer outage so couldnt do that either so we spent the hours we had riding on bus showing us the pass by they offer on the tour also its non refundable and you have to sign a waiver so they are a scam company we should have known from the waiver they make you sign to go on the bus ride not a tour it was five of us we ea list 154 dollars along with others on bus warning dint use this company for tours they take people money and say they have no control of the weather i didnt know a drought could happen overnight iif it can save somebody else from being scammed by this company im happy to help read more

Big shout outs to Rocky our tour guide driver! He was by far the most informative tour guide ever! I would definitely recommend Go Tours Hidden Gems Island Tour for any first timers to Hawaii like us. I was so happy they were able to accommodate my pregnant wife on this tour especially since this was going to be our last big vacation before she heads into labor. In addition to that we were very lucky to have front seats on the bus as it really added to the experience and gave us the best views! The package we opted for took us around to most of the main must-sees of the island of Oahu such as the Dole Pineapple Plantation, Byodo In Temple, Shrimp Farm, and many other famous sites. I believe they also offer a much more rigorous package as well that includes more activities like hiking up a mountain. But unfortunately we had to skip out on it this time since I didn't want to tire my wife out due to the state she's in with carrying the baby and all. Rocky's extensive experience in the touring and bus driving industry made us feel really comfortable throughout the whole tour. We were really impressed with his multitasking skills of being able to drive safely while trying to explain to us the backstory of each site at the same time as we were passing by. He was really knowledgeable and vested in the deep history of the island and we really appreciated his time for sharing it with us all. Most of all he kept us entertained throughout the whole ride by throwing in some humor and spoke about his life stories in relation to each site as well so that we wouldn't get bored or sleepy and not overloading us with just information. He's also got a really touching story about his family which he ended the tour with but I will not go into too much detail here since I don't want to spoil it. We loved the sarcastic humor from our tour guide Colins. He was straight forward with what services and recommendations he could offer and was open to give local recommendations and conversations. I liked that shuttles were for smaller groups of 25. But that also meant no bathrooms in this shuttle. However our tour guide did mention all the stops that would have restrooms. The shuttle was older but was spacious. My favorite thing was he recommended these fried bananas that were SO good!! There's a long list of stops but most of them are either 10-30 minutes. This was a good starter tour to see the island, but you definitely need more time on some of the stops. read more
