    Dole Plantation!
    Allison J.

Ray was an amazing tour guide! We had the chance to see so many beautiful places along the east and north shore! Waimea Valley was magical! We were so grateful that the waterfall was available for swimming! We learned so much both from Ray and the informative booths in Waimea Valley. There is so much history on this island. This tour is definitely the best way to see the most, learn the most, and get your best "bang for your buck"! Highly recommend.

Ian was amazing - funny and informative! The tour hit many points of interest on the North Shore. I highly recommend this company and the tour.

    Botanical Garden

Ian was awesome! Tour was super fun & informative, we went to the botanical garden, and kayaking our fav had to be the dole plantation soo good. Our tour guide Ian recommended us the best places to eat and best beaches to visit without their being so many crowds! Thank you Ian!!

Great tour around the island. Has a few tourist site stops. Time goes by quick during the stops but still overall time is about 8-10 hours for the whole day. The hike was cool $20 entrance. Just disappointing that swimming wasnt allowed due to a lack of rain on the island. The paddleboard on the river was fun and relaxing. Great for beginners to learn. Plenty of sea turtles in the river to see. Food stop was actually really good. Garlic spicy shrimp plate was amazing. The rest were just quick 15 minute samples of the Dole plantation, macadamia nut farm, and a few others. Mahalo to Ray our tour guide

We had such an amazing tour with Kurt & Philip! Kurt was the curator for our tour & Philip our great driver! They were on time for pick up and was so well organized with their stops and time allotted for each stop! We saw so many amazing sights! He broke down so much history and gave insights into the island that we would never know unless we did this tour! The vehicle (shuttle) was super clean, sanitized, and air conditioned, kurt was always checking in with group to make sure we werent too hot or too cold...he was just an all around considerate guide! We got to every spot on time and always just before the other buses got to the locations, so we always arrived just before the mass of other tour buses so we didn't have to wait in long lines to get our food, enter into Waimea park, or Dole plantation...his timing was impeccable! He made us laugh and engaged everyone on the bus, so by the end of our tour, we truly felt like ohana! (Family) He pointed out different celebrity homes as we made our way to the North Shore and stopped at every listed location posted in the tours description, he even touched on Hawaiian mythology and history, from wars, to Gods...he was just so knowledgeable in every way! When it came time for the physical activities, we chose to kayak (additional charge and operated by another side company) but you get the choice to paddleboard or kayak....the guys at that spot were also very helpful and nice! Then we had the choice to either swim at a North Shore beach or hike at the Waimea botanical park and see the beautiful waimea waterfall....we chose Waimea and was so glad we did as the park is FULL of nature, greenery, flowers, and trees! Last stop was the famous Dole plantation where we obliged in some delicious Dole Whip!!! This was an amazing and memorable day for my family and I...we were smiling and laughing the whole way and made so many memories to last a lifetime! You can tell Kurt & Phillip love what they do and enjoy sharing their island with their guests! I highly recommend this tour if you're looking for sightseeing and active exploration! For your reference, i went with my 12 year old daughter, my 68 year old mom, and 74 year old aunt and was way appropriate and manageable for us all (the elders didnt kayak though, lol :) but there was a nice restaurant/bar that they could relax and still take in the magnificent views! Thank you Kurt & Phillip for an amazing tour of the North Shore, we cant thank you enough for this experience!!!

But also not recommended if you have a health condition, with restrictions. Before you arrive, you need to make a reservation on their website. It's more convenient because you can pay for the parking on there as well. When you receive your email confirmation, it will give you a once use QR code. You will get this scanned in the entrance and it will cover you for parking. NOTE: when making reservations, you will select times slots. Morning slots do fill up first, so put that into consideration if you were planning to do this hike. Right across from the visitor center they have the restrooms. These restrooms are the cleanest restrooms I've ever seen. They even have changing stations for mom's with babies. Sinks also have soap and water. The outside of the bathrooms, they have water fountains, and water dispensers for you to fill up your water bottles. Me and my sister did this hike and the time slot we got was for noon. The sun is out! I suggest you carry your sunblock with you while on the hike because you will need to reapply as you keep moving upwards. The sun is out and you will feel it. This hike is also nice because it has designated resting spots with benches in case you need to pull over get a drink and catch your breath. Somewhere towards the top, you will reach a huge flight of stairs. That's very steep, if you like a challenge, the stairs will lead you closer to the top. But if you take the left path, that's a pathway with rails. That is completely doable, for the slower hikers, like myself. And on the bright side, the left side path does come with a view. When you are all done with your hike, they have some very cute souvenirs at the visit center. Very cute hello Kitty merchandise as well, if you are a fan. ALSO!! GET A SWEET TREAT! on the far right next to the visitor center there are two food trucks parked that sell shaved ice, and Dole whips!! I had a great experience! I'm so happy I get across this hike off of my list.

He was hilarious, full of fascinating stories, and somehow managed to make every bathroom stop feel like part of the adventure. The views were jaw-dropping: Diamond Head glowing in the morning sun, waves crashing at Halona Blowhole, and those movie-perfect cliffs near Kualoa Ranch. Dirk kept us entertained between stops with island legends, trivia, and a soundtrack that could make even a restroom break feel cinematic. Leonard's malasadas? Heavenly. Macadamia nut farm snacks? Dangerous in the best way. Tanaka's garlic shrimp? Worth every bite and every burp. Turtle Beach was the crown jewel--relaxing, peaceful, and filled with lazy sea turtles living their best lives.
