This park and playground is pretty good! They have two play structures, one for ages 2-5 and one for ages 5-12. The play structures themselves are quite nice and include a wide variety of features including climbing walls and nets, tunnels, and plenty of slides. There are a good number of trash cans scattered about and various seating options including benches and picnic tables. Aside from the play structures, Amador Vista also has plenty of paved walking areas for running and strolling around, a basketball court, and a good amount of grassy area. It also has a splash pad which we haven't tried out yet since it is January now and too cold for that. But we look forward to trying it out once it warms up again. Some other things to note is that the parking lot for this park is spacious and clean with plenty of spots. The parking lot and restrooms are easily accessible and handicap-friendly. If you care about recycling, Amador Vista is one of the few parks I've seen that has a separate recycling can in addition to trash cans. The only reason I gave this park 4 instead of 5 stars is because it could use a bit more care and maintenance. For example, the tarp covering the large play structure has two big rips in it and the welcome sign looks really rough with the entire top part peeling off. Hopefully they'll be able to fix things like that and help keep the park staying nice! read more

First time to Amador Vista Park- and we are in love!! Very secluded, far from roads, right behind fire station. And kids play area is very nice and clean. I can see during hotter months- it's not much shade there. But we went in February- and it was perfect. Wonderful park. I see that they removed swing chairs- that's a shame, I was hoping to see them. Hopefully they will be replaced. read more

My group of mom friends decided to come to this park for our weekly play dates with the kids. None of us had been here before, so we were super excited. To sum up this park in one word: cute. This park is really cute. It's not big, but it does it's job. There's a jungle gym for the smaller kids and a jungle gym for the bigger kids. Although I might add that the jungle gym for smaller kids is pretty intense. I looked at it and said, "that's for little kids?" My toddler son couldn't climb up since it is kind of big. But he did have fun going on the slide. There is also swings (2 of them are like an actual adult size chair so you can hold your child), a mini zip line and a merry-go-round. I liked that the whole play area is covered and the sun isn't beaming down on you. The grassy area is large enough to hold a ball game or just let your kids run around. The park was clean and there was no trash on the ground. I didn't feel like I had to wipe my son's hands every 2 minutes. (Although I did anyway when we left). The restrooms were clean as well. We met a few other parents the day we went and they were all very friendly. Two thumbs up from this mommy! read more

In relation to the dog parks, while rather small, there are two separate parks, one for small dogs, then other for large dogs. The five or six times I have come there have only been a dog or two or it is empty. Today when I arrived with my beast girl Luna an elderly woman looking petrified took her cocker spaniel and left. There's grass and a few pine trees, but it's small and nice. People seem to pick up after their pets which is a bonus as other dog parks I have been to are absolutely disgusting. As far as the park itself, it is smaller, but has a grass area I have seen used for soccer practices and a play gym area, bathrooms, etc. read more

Amador Vista is a great little park. It has all that you could want-- a green, grassy field, shaded playgrounds, and picnic benches. This park is tucked away in a residential area, right next to a fire station. During my visit, there were tons of rabbits hopping around. Adorbs! And the playground area was clean and well taken care of. If you are looking for a park to have a quiet, little picnic, Amador Vista is your place! This is one of my favorite dog parks to take my dog Connor! He has plenty room to run around and there's actually grass for him to lay in when it's very hot out in this Vegas summer heat. Nice little dog park adjacent to some apartments/residential complex. The small dog pen and a large dog pen are next to each other, separated by a gate. You can open the gate to connect the two sides. When I got here today around 3:30pm, there was only one gentleman with his two dogs. After he left, I was the only one for a while. Coser to 4:15pm, an older lady came by with her small dog. The park was fairly empty today. I assume people come through once the temperature goes down in the late evening. I suggest you bring a dog bowl for water. The drinking fountain is a bit grimey so I decided to not let my pup drink from it. How does this dog park have a solid four star rating...?? Like serious yelp you let me down on this one for sure. We got here in the afternoon and not one other person and their dog were here and I understand why. This place is NOT a dog park. This place is more like a large dog cage with a bench and a light post. My dogs a puppy so she doesn't really mind running in small circles but come on there is no way that multiple dogs could have fun together here there is just no room. read more

People are friendly and considerate of their dogs as well all about keeping the park clean. It is on the small side or at least the small dog area is but there's grass,trees & some shaded benches. This park is very close to my house so I decided to check it out since I have 3 dogs. My first thought was that it was a small park. There was a small jungle gym and a small round park. We found the dog run area and I loved it because there was grass (most are rocks and get your dogs very dirty) and there was a bench and shade for the dog owners! There are also two different dog runs, one I think for 25lbs and over and the other for 25lb and under/senior/disabled/mentally challenged dogs (that's what the sign said.) Only thing I didn't like was the fact that there was a big pile of poop right be the entrance of the dog park! That's why we can't have nice things! And in this case it is the consequences of irresponsible dog owners :/ read more

I like this park for my 9 year old daughter. It's hidden in a nice area. Right next door to a church. There's a covered area where spoke like to set up for parties and Meetups. There seems to always be enough parking. There's only one way for in and one way for out. They have a spinning play equipment that kids can get on like a merry-go-round and also climb on that seems to be a favorite among the kids. The playground is clean. They could probably replace the rubber flooring on the playgrounds. A great place to walk. There's even a peek-a-boo view of The Strip. Basketball court, big and small jungle gyms, water play area, decent restrooms. Not a lot of trees for shade. It's pretty wide open. Jungle gyms are covered. It's a nice park. read more

We've been taking our son to this park for a couple of years now and it is a very nice park. Great view of the surrounding mountains with glimpses of the strip, big grassy area, clean, and everyone that comes is respectful of the park and others. There are two sets of slides, for younger and older kids. Wish there were more swings and currently (ask of Dec 2018) it looks like the splash pad area is getting an overhaul. read more

This park is hidden in a residential area, so if you're not specifically searching for it, you will miss it. It's a one-way road from the entrance so, again, be on the look-out for the park. Parking is plentiful. Once you do get to the park, it's nice. There are two runs, one for large dogs and one for small dogs, though the distinction here is 25lbs up or down while at other parks I've seen it's 35lbs up or down. Anyway, the runs are long and fairly wide, and there is seating for the people. The times I've gone it's always been very quiet, just me, the furball, and maybe another two or three people and dogs. The people and dogs that I've run into have been really friendly though, so kudos to dog-park hospitality. It's a solid dog park and it asks for returns, I just would like to have more dogs and people present. read more

It rarely gets crowded and there are two areas one for small and one for large dogs. The facility includes: dog water fountain, benches, shade, trash, and poop receptacles. I love this park! Its tucked away where most people don't know it exists. It has 2 play areas, and a water area in the summer time. I can take my son there almost anytime and we have most of the park to our self. If you live in the area, and are looking for a place to take your kids to run and play but don't wanna deal with 100 screaming and yelling kids this is your place! I love that this place has a separation between big and small dogs! The option to open the fence between is also fantastic when we are there alone and Sam needs more space to run and smell. He's only 9 months old so he has a lot of energy -I'm also not used to small digs yet so this amount of energy is all new to me. I'm used to huge dogs. I appreciate that the dogs we have met at this park have been playful and kind to put up with my puppy's annoying child antics. read more

Not the worst park as it is well-manicured. But, it is way too small and the small dog side has over-grown trees that limit access. People are nice in the morning. Water fountain is outside of fence, which is a bit inconvenient. Easier to just walk the dog in the much more spacious adjacent park. read more
