The place of the institutions is totally unhygienic, especially in the deli area, that is the dirtiest place in the iga. Not to mention that there are many employees who are totally rude and disrespectful, they treat customers badly, they treated me badly and I wanted to talk to their manager and it was a rude person who ended up yelling at me, everything was in the checkout area the employee's name is Yolanda. That day both the employee and her manager ended up yelling at me and treating me badly, I'll never buy in that disgusting place again, it's not worth it. A tip for those who are going to buy is to check the expiration dates of the products, since they never check the employees and we as customers end up buying products in bad condition. read more

It beats starving. Not lots of options on the east end for shopping. I typically bring most everything I need from the city. But there are times I am forced to buy something out here. This store has a bad selection, the workers have a bad attitude and overall it's a bad customer experience, plus I feel like I'm getting robbed when I pay. Now that I see they had that "Merry Christmas" sign it tells me they're red necks and probably Tr mpsters. Never again. read more

I specifically went to the IGA in Amagansett looking for organice produce. They do have sections specifically marked organic. Unless I am incorrect, and I googled this before posting this review, PLU codes for organic produce begin with a "9". As I perused the organic section, I found very few PLU's that started with a "9". Most began with a "3" or "4" which are used for conventionally grown produce. If you are shopping for organice, be weary of what you are buying there. read more

New ownership, not sure what's happening there at the moment. The shelves have old stock on them. There was mold on the cheese which was shocking. The produce and meat departments were fine, that said, all of it is overpriced and the prices in the Hamptons are high anyway. I went to get a baguette and it was old, but not 1 day old, it was hard. The freezers aren't stocked. The deli food looked old. There were only 4 rotisserie chickens that looked like they'd been sitting there all day. A disgrace. It's one of the worst grocery stores ever, now. So Very disappointed as the last owner had a great store with great products. I hope this new owner sells it to someone who knows how to run a grocery store. He's absolutely clueless. I feel sorry for the staff. read more

There are a lot of hoity-toity restaurants and food "shops" on the east end of Long Island. Unless you are a multi-millionaire you will have to go to a basic grocery store just like the rest of us. The chain that serves this area is IGA. The one in Amagansett is certainly a good source of groceries, but I wouldn't go much farther than that. The store is well laid out. It has a deli that is pretty darn good. If I were to give the deli stars, I'd give it a solid 4. The meat department is probably worth a 4+. It isn't huge, but the meat is clearly being cut and packaged in the back, and you can even see this through a little window next to the meat section. I think this is a nice touch. General groceries are fine, but I gotta say that the customer service in this place is lacking. I was looking around for tortillas and couldn't find any. There were some "white wraps" but no tortillas. I threw some "white wraps" in the cart and moved on. When we were getting checked out, I asked the person who was bagging our groceries if they had any tortillas. She said, and I quote, "I don't know nothing about that Mexican crap," and then finished bagging my groceries. Pretty weak. I found tortillas at the Farmer's market down the Highway. This place happens to be next to a great liquor store, and it is the only true grocery store for several miles. It also has a parking lot, which is a big plus. If you want some customer service, you probably won't find it here. The deli and the meat section are pulling my rating up to 3 stars. read more

This was a solid 3-star establishment. It was a great beach day when I came, so it was not surprising to me that the cashier were less than friendly, as I'm sure they had dealt with an unfair volume of people in a short amount of time. I was annoyed though, that I did not receive my cash back, and the cashier didn't double check, so I made it 3/4 of the way home before noticing, and drove back quickly to get it. Some of the overpriced items surprised me, whereas I was even more surprised by the affordability of the fresh produce. read more

I'm very disappointed that this store introduced "pepsi mango" several months ago & in the last 2 months haven't had any. I was told that they take what they bring ? Really ? Correction. They sell rotten produce. I purchased arugula, opened it the next day and it was foul, so I took it back to IGA to either replace it with fresh arugula or get my money back. I was told by a manager I couldn't have it replaced with fresh arugula or get my money back because I didn't have a receipt. I spend ~ $200 a week at IGA and live in Montauk year round, so I'm baffled by the logic of this customer service for a product less than $5. They've lost a valuable customer and I will let others know about my unfortunate experience. read more

After living here for over twenty years, we have to finally admit that Cirillos Market IGA in Amagansett is the worst run market we have ever experienced or observed. Friends of ours leave shocked by how rude and nasty the workers and manager /owners are-- no matter how cheery they are or, in some case, patient with the poor service. Recently, a neighbor of mine overheard racist remarks made by the manager or owner (they weren't sure which). The way the other worker laughed and agreed turned their stomachs. So sad to know ignorance continues to thrive there. They could do so much better. And the PRODUCE IS ALWAYS ROTTEN!!! And it smells of cleaning fluid chemicals and cologne seems to be adhered to all packaging, makes you sick smelling it in the fridge or pantry after unpacking it all at home. The fragrance on their shelf and fridge stockers is just foul. read more

This IGA is the last super market you'll come across when in route to Montauk unless you choose to shop at a place in the Montauk town. We stopped here around 7 at night on a Sunday and the place was pretty busy. It is conveniently located next door to a wine and liquor store, but the IGA itself does have a small but decent selection of beer. They carry Montauk Pale Ale and IPA; 6 packs for about $11 which definitely isn't cheap. They have 12 packs of corona in the cans which is great for the beach. Produce selection is small but reasonably priced for a store out east. They have standard items you would find at any grocery store and also have an ATM in the front left of the store. Their bakery section looked tasty too. read more

In the last few years Cirrillo's market has become the go to destination for savvy visitors and locals alike. The range of food, staff service and general quality is first rate. The owners and management there are very well attuned to the needs of their customers and continue to upgrade the the entire operation. Easy weekend grocery shopping and lines move pretty quickly. I had to pick through the produce to find fresh fruit and veggies, but I don't mind cause I like doing it. If you are looking for discounts, they don't really have them there. The meat is more expensive than the Waldbaums in town. read more

This supermarket is clean, nicely stocked with excellent brand items, and easy to shop in. And we just LOVE their sign. Good for them. Cirillos is doing an excellent job of managing safe food shopping in the pandemic. The men and women who work there are angels! They do their best to keep all the shelves stocked. The produce department, especially, is always clean and fresh! Their meats and dairy are great. Entry and checkout is carefully controlled to permit social distancing. Since their remodel and what seems like an expansion of their floor space for the customers, I really enjoy shopping here. They are a good grocer for locals who want to avoid the entitled summer people at Citarella's, and most items are less expensive too. Nice long term checkers that you can actually speak with and build a relationship over time are a bonus. The young lady at customer service signaled me out of a line at one of two open check stands to check me out on more than one occasion. read more

If you're in Amagansett, East Hampton, the Springs or on your way to Montauk, the IGA in Amagansett is the best general grocery store east of Bridgehampton. Prices aren't bad at all for the East End of LI and the quality, for some reason, is much better than the IGA in East Hampton, which also is smaller with a more limited selection. And over the past few years, I've found the service is pretty good. If you can't find something, folks are helpful. The deli and butcher are especially helpful. read more

The store was recently enlarged and has a great selection. BUT watch at check out or you WILL BE OVERCHARGED. Last week 2 issues Ragu 2/3.00 rang up for over 4.00 each and Ice cream 2/6.00 rang up for over $6.00 When I questioned the charges the cashier and another worker were complaining about me in their native tongue ... Spanish. To the management... just because I do not look spanish I do understand the language. That will be my last trip to the store.
