Much to my surprise, the place was quite empty walking in maybe due to its huge space. My dad wanted deli meats, but I recommended the fried chicken. My parents sat down at these large picnic benches while I ordered a bunch of fried chicken by the piece! When I got to the counter, the guy informed me that there was only white meat left and that he would put in a new batch of dark meat now. I waited patiently for 15 minutes while the new batch was fried. Then, I ordered a bunch of wings, legs, and a thigh. I'm so happy we were able to order by piece because nobody likes white meat in my family even though it's the most meaty. I was also surprised that the white meat costs the most! The chicken was beautifully battered and flavored. Not too thick nor too salty! It was out of this world and it is what will bring me back to Montauk.
