Not the best picture but the best tasting arepa! The arepa was made to order and the service was so helpful. First time there and overwhelmed by options, the cashier walked me through different option. The decorations make the vibe of the restaurant so fun.

After the first time that I tried this place I constantly think about the next time I'm gonna go there! This is the third time I've tried Amazing Arepa Bar, twice at their storefront and once at the Hispanic festival in soulard. Every time that I try this restaurant I am always amazed amazed by the quality of the foods and drinks there. The cachapa is one of my favorite items on the menu, but I decided to try something different this time so I ordered the Reina Arepa and it was sooooo delicious and extremely filling. I also ordered the Parchita (passion fruit juice) and I highly recommend ordering this, or any of their natural fruit juices because they are completely homemade and so fresh. All of the workers that I have encountered in the restaurant are always really nice and helpful when it came to questions about the menu or anything else. Amaizing Arepa Bar will always have my business!!

Oh my goodness the food here was phenomenal! Really a hidden gem in downtown. The food was fresh and the woman working was so helpful; as food came out for some of the other tables, she would show us what it was which helped put names to the foods. The inside was very clean and well decorated. Everything was so so good; from the arepas to the empanadas to the burritos, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We got a sample platter for an appetizer and it really gave you a little taste of different dishes. One hundred percent recommend and it's got me craving wanting more!

The food here is amazing, the Arepa is the favorite. If you're unsure of what to order, get a Sampler and try everything on it, you won't be dissapointed. The prices are very fair, the service is great and you can feel they appreciate your business and the bathrooms are clean. 5 stars, definitely coming back.

Arepa
Eat Me In St Louis Podcast ..

After two visits, I love this place and can't recommend it enough! The staff is super friendly and helpful but the food knocked my socks off both times. I'll break down what we got and what we loved/didn't love so much. Sample Platter - The taquenos were pretty much the best cheese sticks I've ever had. The arepa was delicious and a good size, but it's smaller than the regular arepas and it doesn't say that on the menu. The min-cachapa was delicious, but really heavy. It's a slice from two sweet corn pancakes with cheese in-between and crema and cheese on top. wow. Veggie Arepas - Pick your favorite ingredients. You can't go wrong with the arepas. Pepito (Street Sandwich) - We ate 50 different sandwiches in St Louis last year and this one immediately jumped into my top 5. It's kind of a mess to eat but it's worth it. You'll be licking your fingers. Looks like a lot of meat, but there's veggies underneath and it's a great balance of flavors. The cilantro garlic sauce makes it incredible. Got one for lunch and had to save half to take home. Empanadas - Haven't been to Venezuela but I can't imagine they make them much better than this there. Just the simple bean and cheese was better than it had any right to be. Perfect texture and it got better with every bite. The brown sugar lemonade was good but too sweet for me to finish. I guess that was my biggest complaint? All in all, a great spot for lunch and an excellent place to bring anyone who might not have tried Venezuelan food to gently expand their palate. They'll find something they love. I can't wait to go back. We'll have even more to say on an upcoming episode so keep an eye out for that soon!

I need this place to have more business! Fried plantains are one of my favorite things to eat and they did them real well. Can't wait to come back to try some more things off of their extensive menu. For the picture takers out there, the lighting is amazing in here. For the big parties, very accommodating with a large space. The arepa was nice and soft and so good! Highly recommend coming!

XL EMPANADAS Special Cachapas (Mozarella Cheese + 1 Protein) SOOO GOOOD muy buena la comida

Amaizing Arepa bar was the best place to celebrate my birthday! We were greeted when we walked in and then she spoke with us and arranged tables for us which was very nice!! She attended us and answered any questions and even changed the music for us for the birthday celebration! Had a great experience and will be back again. The food has Venezuelan sazón my parents are from Venezuela, Villa de cura and were very happy because the meal reminded them of home. Authentic flavors and authentic people here! Lots of different options for everybody and good portions. Decor was very nice and the inside is spacious. I recommend the XL empanadas with ham & cheese, and the special cachapas!

Amazing is an understatement! It us amazing in every aspect. Venezuelan or not you have t ok check it out

The owner is very nice and cares about his establishment. Clean and spacious. Good portions are big and I enjoyed the Arepa I got as well and it kept me full a majority of the day

Not the best photo but I had to crop my child out of it. This is the SAMPLE PLATTER with mini arepa, cachapas, plantains, and tequeños.

My toddler and I stopped by here after a trip to City Museum. She's not so much a picky eater as much as she's just really into cheese right now, which ended up being perfect because the sampler platter has lots of it sprinkled on top of cachapas and in the arepa as well. I've had Venezuelan food before but I would also recommend that menu item to anyone who might be trying it for the first time. Very savory and comforting flavors. The cilantro cream sauce for the tequeños was so delicious! Service was friendly and good; the spot was relatively quiet because it was a weekday afternoon but it's a really unique space and I would be interested to see what it's like on weekends and in the evenings. I would definitely come back and I'd recommend this place to others as well.

The empanadas are really good! I was in a hurry so I wasn't able to stay. The service is prompt and pleasant. The interior is spacious and clean. I will be coming back to try more food!

Venezuelan BBQ

Came from out of state and the Venezuelan BBQ caught my attention. Definitely would recommend. It is a bit of a wait and it's an enough food for 2 or a super big eater. Love the cilantro sauce.

100% a MUST try! The restaurant is beyond clean, the staff is super friendly and the food is some of the best food I have had in St. Louis.... And you know St. Louis is a food town.

The four of us each enjoyed our meals. I had the arepa with shredded chicken, which was delicious, full-flavored, and well seasoned.

I walked in and decided bar seating looked best so I could watch tv. I was immediately given water, menus, and some time to decide. I was craving something sweet, so I got some passion fruit juice and decided on the steak bowl with arroz con gandules as my entree. The dish comes with steak, black beans, pico, white rice, jack cheese, and maduros. I think most dishes can be customized, but rest assured they're nothing short of flavor! Since I was one of few people, my dish came out rather quickly. The steak was tender and flavorful; the rice was seasoned perfectly and the maduros were fried to perfection. Everything was even better than I imagined. The server/bartender did a great job at keeping my water refilled and making sure I didn't needed anything. I was quite pleased with the food and service overall and I look forward to my return visit.

We ordered grilled chicken bowl, chicken and a beef empanadas, Cuban sandwich, maduros (sweet plaintains), avocado salad and Nutella empanadas! Obviously I took some home. All the food was really good. The Nutella empanadas were stand outs. The other empanadas were good but a little greasy I think because I ordered the corn. Maybe the flour ones are not so greasy??? They have a fair amount of indoor seating without the tables being too close. Also there is an outdoor patio which is where we sat. Might be better to be under the awning so no rascally bird puts a deposit on your food. (It barely missed the the Nutella empanadas) I can't wait to go back to try more menu items.

Silverware is on the tables, but napkins and water are at a station at one end of the dining room, so you pick that all up yourself. Food came out quick and was really tasty! The pollo guisado was the favorite at the table and had a huge portion size! Restaurant seems like it would be a better fit with decor that matches the food and taking orders at the table. Without these, it feels a bit disjointed and odd to ask for a tip when I have to get my own water/napkins. Good food, just one of weird environment for it. Having Madela beer would be a great addition too!
