3 tacos - shrimp, al pastor and carne asada. Rice & beans on the side
Keith J.

I really enjoyed the great Mexican street-style tacos at Tacos Uno and the Mexican rice and beans were great as well. Everything tasted very fresh and like the tacos I've had in Mexico but haven't traveled a lot there just a few places. Although I can't say much for the atmosphere or the decorations of this restaurant, the service was very good. I need to make a return trip for the enchiladas and maybe tortas too, they look awesome.

Absolutely love this place! It is family owned, and food is always incredible - so fresh and authentic. Love their street tacos and steak burrito. Their rice is delicious too. Can't wait to try more things. Great addition to Oakville.

One of every street taco except the esquites with no cilantro. Assortment of salsas on the right

First time here and wanted to try all the different street tacos minus the cilantro. Everything was delicious. The salsas were perfect. The meat was so flavorful and the fish and shrimp taco were awesome and had their own sauce! The service was also top notch! We will definitely go back. What a hidden gem in Oakville

al pastor tacos and al pastor burrito

My family and I came to Tacos Uno on a random Sunday afternoon and there were two other people eating when we came. It's in a little small location. It's one of those places where you order at the front and they bring the food to you at your table. The guy who is at the front was very nice and friendly with everyone who was eating there and made small talk with us! The food came out very fast, fresh and hot. We got the Al Pastor tacos and burrito which we felt were very flavorful and the portions were huge. I would totally come back especially since this place is only a walk away from my house! Not pictured, my sister ordered an Al Pastor torta, which was huge as well and delicious but the only thing we weren't a huge fan of was the queso dip appetizer. We were expecting a creamy white queso dip, but it was a bright orange one. I am totally coming back for the tacos!! The salsas they have for the tacos are very delicious as well.

Amazing food, friendly service, and a cute location. Tortas are HUGE! Cashier recommended the Milanese, great choice! I will def come back

Al pastor torta

Really good, fast, and amazing service! The gentleman working the front was super knowledgeable and passionate about the menu. I had the al pastor torta. Its HUGE! Meat and pineapple mixture was very flavorful and the bread and topping were super fresh! Will definitely be back!!

Al pastor, esquites, and shrimp street tacos

Great service, fresh ingredients! Our favorite tacos were the Al Pastor and Fish. The salsa was also some of the best we've had.

I am assuming the heat inside was why there were grease/sweat patches on the edge of the table I was seated on. The birria tacos were very average, the rice that came with it was absolutely bland and the pastor enchiladas were alright but the meat was mostly charred. The horchata was so dilute, I couldn't taste anything. The only saving grace were the chips and salsa - especially the salsa. Overall, this is a pretty overpriced place for below average food.

I don't know what the issue is and quite frankly it was a bummer. That's the only reason I gave them a 4 . The food was so good I honestly didn't mind too much though. Had an amazing time. 100% recommend.

I like that this is a mother fast casual option so you can order at the counter and then they will bring the food to you when it's ready. They have a self service station for drinks (no alcohol). I wish I would have taken a picture of the tacos I ordered during my first visit, but I definitely forgot. I ordered a shrimp taco and while I was nervous that it would be small, it as actually a nice size and very filling. Was it a bit spicy? Yes. But I powered through because the flavors were good. The cilantro rice was also so good as a side and I loved the street corn, it was so creamy and delicious. My main pick when I visit now is the half southwest rice bowl with grilled chicken. It is the right portion size and has all the things I love in the rice bowl. I forgot to add avocado/guac on this last visit, but that's usually a good thing to add on top or to the side. RST is owned by an amazing couple who care about their guests and their products. The food is fun and tasty; drinks are fantastic. First off: there's a small parking lot on the east side of the building plus plenty of street parking. Inside you'll be graciously welcomed by the bartender if you slide onto a barstool-- or you can be seated at a table in the dining room or outside. They're usually a few decent beers on tap, and more available in cans. The bar manager does excellent work with a specialty cocktail menu and house-made shrubs and syrups. The house margarita is affordable and very drinkable. While you wait, enjoy complimentary popcorn topped with Rock Star Dust-- their own special blend of seasonings that is also included in several other menu items. Scan the QR code to see the menu of rockstar-named dishes like the glass onion rings, Amy Swinehouse (pork taco) and such. It's all good! (Your server will take your order & bring the food out.) Tamales are especially excellent, made with the owner's mother's authentic recipe. There are a few vegetarian options, rotating specials, and sweet treats as well. You can get in and out pretty quickly if you've got somewhere else to be, or hang for a while and enjoy the cool atmosphere & wonderful people!

It's been a few weeks since I had any pocket cash to go out to eat... so I decided to pick a food…read moresource at random for a Saturday afternoon, and I'm SO GLAD I did... You know how they say one of the best things about Mexico is the food? I have to admit, I would honestly wouldn't know and just have to trust the stories I've heard, as I've never been lucky enough to go to Mexico.... But all my life I've heard stories about people who go and basically remind you.. NEVER hit a restaurant for _authentic_ Mexican food. You want to hit the street vendors. Well, St. Louis has a fantastic surprise.. Now you can do that right here in the city! Part of a three-restaurant set up, Amigo Sole is the "street vendor" restaurant that's not on the street. (And having met the owner of the full set-up, I'm REALLY hoping i get invited to the grand opening of Jekyll & Hyde) As it was middle of the day Saturday, I didn't ask for anything alcoholic (so i don't know if the reviewer that asked for alcoholic beverages and was told they didn't have any was just unlucky or if it was true.) But I'll take a Mexican Coke over American Coke any day of the week (NO, get your minds out of the gutter.. not that powdered one!). Anyway, I went simple for a quick stop, and went with the Chicken Bomb. at the recommendation of the cashier and he was quick to name this one off.. (and always remember cashiers, have a favorite READY, so thumbs up to the cashier on this one!) . And then to my amazement.. no more than 5 minutes later, HOT, tasty, cheesy, chicken quesadilla style BOMB-diggity! (Ironically this one is not listed on the website menu, only the instore menu? Come on Sole, online is everything today :) ) Absolutely delicious food.. and absolutely messy too, as it literally would fall apart in my hands.. (HEY, that's a good thing!) As for the decor.. 100% true, as Amigo Sole definitely has SOUL! (and lots of soles!). Again Amigo Sole isn't designed to be a 'great sit down' restaurant, it's designed to be street-vendor FUN!!!! and with what decoration they have, it pulls it off fantastically in my opinion. So just based on my meal, what the owner told me about the Amigo Sole, you're getting EXACTLY what you're promised a Mexican street vendor serving fantastic Mexican street vendor food, only with a roof over your head the entire time. During the meal, met again (Who i believe to be) the owner of the store and talked with him about Amigo Sole and how amazing it was to me... and he told me about the three-restaurant combination. (And I apologize sir, but I completely forgot your name when we talked!). even mentioning they share three kitchens when it gets busy (so I was kinda lucky as i think the rain scared everyone out for the day), but I'm still hoping for the Jeckyll & Hyde invitation! (I'll even pretend to find a date if I have to for the upscale part!)

Honestly my experience here felt like a fever dream. My partner and I were looking somewhere to eat…read morea late dinner on a Thursday night, and we stumbled upon this place. When we walked in, the place was empty, besides the singular bartender standing behind the bar. She told us to sit anywhere we wanted, so we chose a table near the bar. Then, she politely asked us to move to the bar. She apologized and said she was new and that she didn't know what was going on. We started with an order of chips and salsa and shared a mango margarita on the rocks. Let's just say our marg was missing the rocks. The bartender forgot to add ice, so our margita was warm. She gave us a cup of ice to pour in. The marg itself wasn't very strong and tasted pretty syrup-y. Although the chips and salsa only cost us $2.50, I probably could've gone without. I don't think I would've liked them even if they were complimentary. The salsa was decent, but the chips were saltless and flavorless. We ordered two tacos and the arroz con pollo plate. My tacos came out at different times. Both were tiny and disappointing. I had the Hemp Avenue taco and the Sarah Street taco. The black bean juice was everywhere. The tortillas were dry and fell apart. They brought out a quesadilla instead of our arroz con pollo plate. We were confused, but the bartender insisted the order was correct. Then, a few minutes later, the correct plate was brought out. I guess I can't be mad that we scored a free quesadilla. However, it was quite soggy and the cheese was almost a rubbery texture. While we were there, a DJ started playing. The volume of the music went back and forth between increasingly loud and extremely quiet. None of the other staff members acknowledged us whatsoever. It felt like we weren't even there. I hate sounding so pessimistic, so I will say two positive things: their outdoor patio looks like a fun spot in the summer, and I bet this would be a great option if you've been out partying all night and need some food in your belly. Overall a bizarre experience from start to finish!

There were a few people at the bar and one group sitting at a table. I'm not sure why they were so empty. We did a pitcher of casamigos margaritas that was only $42.
