I mean everything was delicious and authentic. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful. The service was good and the potions are plentiful for the price. My whole Tilapia was deep fried and delicious moist and well seasoned with crispy skin. My husband had the chimichanga said it was the best he ever had. Beautifully painted walls of a village countryside in Mexico. The seating is quaint and comfortable. We will be back and bring friends.

This place is easy to miss driving/walking by it. Kinda wish I had missed it. The inside is cramped, and when we we there was a table of about 10 people being incredibly loud and annoying. The menu is odd, mentioning vague things they offer but no specifics. Also it offers prices at all. The margaritas were pure margarita mix, and no tequila. Almost undrinkable. The Al pastor tacos were very lacking in flavor and dry, and the chorizo tacos just okay. The only good thing here was the queso.

BEST TACOS IN STL!! I'm from a border town in Texas and can say that these tacos are some of the best I've had in general but the best traditional tacos I've had in STL! This is one of the hardest places to find. It's in the middle of the block on Cherokee rights across from El Bronco, next to the Alley on the left. The first time I went and any time I meet anyone here, there's always confusion since there's no sign. Everything is awesome!! I am not a fan of sweet drinks, so I stick with their beer selection. We started with the Queso (cheese dip) and guacamole, both were great. My highlight is their tacos. I love everything that they have - chorizo, carnitas, fish, shrimp (Cameron's),.. but my favorite is their vegetarian that's cheese with poblano peppers! The tacos are large and more of a street taco style. Go ASAP!!

We like to look for authentic cuisine when we travel to new cities and tried this place this past weekend. The waitress we had couldn't have been nicer to my friends and our daughters. Very helpful and welcoming to us. She made us feel at home right when we got there. When we walked in she pulled a couple tables together to make us comfortable. She suggested the pork soup to my friend. He said it was the best soup he has ever had. It was a slow cooked pork soup which had a little spice. The waitress was helpful in telling him that the tortilla, lettuce and veggies on the side were to be put in the soup. He said the soup was even better after he put those items in. They brought out chips and salsa as soon as we got there, but we also ordered the queso. Both were very good. I ordered the burrito and it was served with fries. The burrito was the size of a Chipotle burrito, but their ingredients were all fresh. I got the steak burrito. The waitress brought out a couple bowls of hot sauce to use with our meal. A green and a red sauce. I tried the red and it added a nice flavor to the burrito. If you are looking for a real Mexican meal, i would recommend trying this place out. The place is small and the sign is not very big so it can be hard to find.

Giant taco salad was absolutely delicious. I got the mixed meats - chicken, beef and shrimp and all cooked to perfection.

Wow, I really love this place! First, I had NO idea that this area on Cherokee Street existed and I'm really looking forward to not only coming back here, but also to exploring more of the businesses and restaurants. A friend of mine organized a taco crawl for Halloween lunch and we started at this authentic Mexican restaurant. Our table of 10 filled half of this small space, other tables were full, the music was loud and the smells coming from the kitchen were amazing! I did not feel like we were in St. Louis anymore. LOL! We were the only gringos there, and I take that as a great sign that the food is a) authentic and b) seriously good! The chips were thick and the salsas were above average. In addition to the chunky, smokey red salsa, they also offered a green salsa that was super spicy and an orange salsa that was a slow burn. We all ordered street tacos and I had one al pastor taco and one Chicharrón con chili taco. I was expecting the chicharrones on the taco to be crunchy, but it was more soft and gelatinous and a texture I'm still a little weirded out by, but the flavor was great and it was very spicy. The Al Pastor taco was exceptional. So yummy. Everyone else really loved their food and I will definitely come back. A gentleman at the table next to us ordered the Molcajete and it looked absolutely fantastic so I know I will be ordering that next time! His had shrimp, chicken, chorizo and an entire steak! Wow. He let me know they have a good seafood one too. I also ordered a Paloma cocktail and it was really delicious. The ambience was very festive, the wait staff was dressed for Halloween and service was outstanding. Our server was a gem!

Went here for a celebration and even though the place is small they accommodated our party of 7 which was nice. A more authentic feel for a Mexican restaurant tacos, salsa verde and drinks were great! Cheese dip and salsa just alright I've had better. Service was also great, I don't have to run back but worth the stop in!

Delicious food, beautiful decor, and decent pricing!!…read more I've been here a few times, so I brought my mom as she has been talking about this place for a while. Walking up to the entry gives you vacation vibes from The decor, tropical plants and modern aesthetics. Service was 10/10. All the staff we encountered were so friendly. They came by to check on us, and even the owner/manager came out to check in and make sure everything was good. The tacos were absolutely delicious, seasoned well and every ingredient was FRESH. I ordered the Galveston, and the Baja, and my mom ordered the del Rio and the Biloxi, and we shared a trifecta appetiser.. The queso and guacamole and salsa were some of the best ones I've had. The portions are plentiful. Definitely give them a try. They add something new to the menu every so often, and They offer brunch as well.

This location was very close to where we were. It was the perfect time to try it! Ambiance: I really love the esthetics of the restaurant. The floral arrangements in the front is very inviting and added a great touch. I also loved the covered outdoor seating areas available, along with the indoor option. We surprisingly opted to sit outside, because heat is not my friend. The industrial fan definitely helped! I felt like I was sitting on one of friend's veranda in the carribean Food: I really enjoyed the food. Tacos are a la carte. For appetizer we opted for the Trifecta which came with guac, queso, and rojo salsa. Let me just say, their happy hour deals are a great steal! Order: There are a couple different ways to order & pay. Use the traditional way of having the server take our order by raising the card "Lets Taco Buddha it," or by scanning the QR code and placing order yourself & pay online. At first, I started the online order because I felt like this would allow me more time to read the menu and order on my own terms. I ended up raising my card and having someone take my order despite having it all in my cart. Tacos are served "family style" comes out on the same platter. We opted for the Baja ( battered pallock) & The Jodhpur (marinated grilled chicken). The kiddos opted for the quesadillas and fried chicken taco. Everything was flavorful (with the exception of their hot/mild sauces, those were flavorless, however not necessary to add). Not going to lie, I made a joke to my mom about the food being served on a surgical tray or "doggy platter." LOL lol. Service: They use a team model. I saw multiple staff going throughout the restaurant checking on needs & refilling water pitchers. Everyone was really nice, they had small toys for children to play with at the table and it's always a plus when they strike up a conversation with my kiddos. Parking: We arrived shortly after 4pm and there were lots of spots available. By the time we were leaving, there were two cars waiting for spots. It is also located alongside a busy street, the restaurant did get packed for dinner on a weekday. Pricing: Prices does add up very pretty quickly, however 1 Taco can be very filling especially if you opted for appetizers. The only thing I would have changed is not to order my meal the same time as my appetizer. It came out almost together. I would have liked to enjoyed the appetizers prior to my entrée.

When we walked in, the place was empty, besides the singular bartender standing behind the bar. She told us to sit anywhere we wanted, so we chose a table near the bar. Then, she politely asked us to move to the bar. She apologized and said she was new and that she didn't know what was going on. We started with an order of chips and salsa and shared a mango margarita on the rocks. Let's just say our marg was missing the rocks. The bartender forgot to add ice, so our margita was warm. She gave us a cup of ice to pour in. The marg itself wasn't very strong and tasted pretty syrup-y. Although the chips and salsa only cost us $2.50, I probably could've gone without. I don't think I would've liked them even if they were complimentary. The salsa was decent, but the chips were saltless and flavorless. We ordered two tacos and the arroz con pollo plate. My tacos came out at different times. Both were tiny and disappointing. I had the Hemp Avenue taco and the Sarah Street taco. The black bean juice was everywhere. The tortillas were dry and fell apart. They brought out a quesadilla instead of our arroz con pollo plate. We were confused, but the bartender insisted the order was correct. Then, a few minutes later, the correct plate was brought out. I guess I can't be mad that we scored a free quesadilla. However, it was quite soggy and the cheese was almost a rubbery texture. While we were there, a DJ started playing. The volume of the music went back and forth between increasingly loud and extremely quiet. None of the other staff members acknowledged us whatsoever. It felt like we weren't even there. I hate sounding so pessimistic, so I will say two positive things: their outdoor patio looks like a fun spot in the summer, and I bet this would be a great option if you've been out partying all night and need some food in your belly. Overall a bizarre experience from start to finish!

There were a few people at the bar and one group sitting at a table. I'm not sure why they were so empty. We did a pitcher of casamigos margaritas that was only $42. That's a crazy steal, I pray for those type of deals in ATL. My only critique was that it was heavy on the OJ. But I saw him pour the tequila and he was generous We also ordered shrimp fajita nachos to share and plantains. Those both tasted great. Overall I would come back.

We started with Stella on tap, which just felt appropriate while visiting St. Louis, especially after touring the nearby Anheuser-Busch brewery. It was easily one of the freshest Stellas we've ever had. For food, we tried the lobster mac and cheese, lobster bisque with pieces of lobster, a pound of steamed crab legs, fried green tomatoes, and the warm lobster roll. The lobster roll was phenomenal. We shared it, but I honestly could have eaten the entire sandwich myself. The real standout, though, was just how perfectly the seafood was cooked. Both the lobster and crab were juicy, sweet, and tender with just the right amount of chew. Nothing was rubbery or overcooked, but it wasn't soft or mushy either. I genuinely don't think they could have cooked the seafood any better. The fried green tomatoes were also cooked perfectly and something I was excited to try since you don't see them on every menu. Unfortunately, they were a little too spicy for my personal taste, so we didn't finish them, but that's definitely more about my spice tolerance than the quality of the dish. The atmosphere was another plus. It's a really cute setup with great ambiance, and our server was wonderful. We also walked right in without a reservation and had no wait at all, which has honestly been one of our favorite things about eating our way through St. Louis. Coming from California, we're used to having to plan ahead for popular restaurants, sometimes weeks in advance. Here, we've been able to discover some fantastic places without having to plan our entire trip around restaurant reservations. I will say, this was probably the most expensive meal of our trip. The one pound of steamed crab legs was $65 market price, and the lobster roll was $37 market price, so Peacemaker definitely isn't the cheapest place we've eaten. That said, considering the quality of the seafood and how much we enjoyed everything, it was absolutely worth the splurge. From the crab legs to the lobster roll to the bisque and mac and cheese, everything we tried was delicious. Combine that with the atmosphere, great service, and being able to walk right in, and this was easily one of our favorite meals in St. Louis. I'm actually hoping I can convince some of my coworkers from my training class to go back with me before I leave Missouri. I think that probably says everything you need to know about how much I enjoyed it.
