My friends and I had GQC delivered to the office earlier this week. This was my first time ordering from them and so I was excited to finally try them since I have heard such good things. I ordered the Florentine and asked to add chicken since it just sounded so warm and cozy on a cold day. While the delivery driver did their best to find us, they were definitely a little confused as to where they were going. But we did finally track them down and were able to get our orders. I was surprised at how large the quesadilla was! I was only able to eat half of it for lunch and I did enjoy it. The fillings were just right and the dipping sauce was tasty. The meat was a little salty, but it paired nicely with the cheese. I was just really thirsty afterwards. I still remember the first time I passed the Forest Park Ave (CWE) location. I saw some construction workers at the window which caught me off guard. You don't see too many shops where people order and pick up their food in the CWE. It was one of those things that I just filed away at the time. One afternoon I was just looking for a no frills, quick lunch to grab and bring back to my office. Global Quesadilla popped up on Yelp so I figured I'd give that quirky restaurant a try. The shop has exactly what you would expect from a to go Mexican restaurant. As it name suggests its bread and butter are quesadillas. There is a good selection of different options, but it is hard to beat the standard steak, pico, and cheese option. I've also gotten their chips an queso. The quesadillas are HUGE. Normally I get two meals out of it. It isn't anything special, but the food is pretty good and reasonably priced at ~$13 before taxes. The wait time is short, although I typically order ahead online. The main downside is that you can only order/pickup at windows. So if the weather is nice I like a nice walk over and pick to pickup my food. If it was rainy or snowy I'd just not bother going though. I would recommend ordering head so you aren't just standing on the sidewalk or sitting in your card. Overall I like this spot. It isn't fine dining, but it fills a niche that will work for people that want a quick, affordable to go meal. read more

Odd ordering experience at the Forest Park Pkwy location. They have two windows so I stood in front of the one labeled for ordering. I see a head moving in back but nobody comes to the window so I order online. With no customers coming or going I wait about 20 minutes for my salad. Ring the window for pickups and the server goes and gets my salad right away. I have a feeling my salad had been ready for a while, so I sat in the heat waiting. If you have two closed windows and a little street seating you really should communicate better with customers and check on traffic. read more

This isn't my first time visiting this place but I'm finally getting around to writing a review. This particular location doesn't have a walk-in space so you have to order at a window on the side of the building. The woman who took my order was friendly. I ordered the Pangaea nachos with ground beef instead of chicken and it came out to be a little over $17. The flavor was okay I just wish it had more toppings. You get way more chips than toppings. We have been walking our pup past here for a few days and finally decided to try it. Apparently they no longer do sit in service. There is a window for walk up and one for delivery drivers. I am glad we decided to look at the menu before heading out. So many choices. Yes, that means more return trips. The young lady who answered the buttons ring was very friendly and polite. She asked a few questions when we ordered and answered a few of mine. No rush to order was felt. We ordered 1 Cancun to split. It was more than enough for the two of us. It came out quickly and we headed home to eat. The box served its purpose well as the food was hot after the walk. My only gripe, and this goes for a lot of business these days, is the outside had trash around it. Doesn't make it to enticing to walk up to. I've been wanting to try Global Quesadilla for a long time, I'm just not typically in the area of where it would be convenient! I dropped off some stuff for an event down the street around lunch time, so I figured it was finally time! It was a bit after lunch rush time (1:45), and when I went in, it was just me. I was greeted promptly by the individual working, and they gave me a bit of time to scan the menu. There were tons of options, and several of them sounded great! I decided to go with the Montreal. It was seasoned steak, red and green pepper blend, provel, cheddar, and Monterey Jack on a flour tortilla. It was served with a side of garlic basil mayo. I love provel, so this was a no brainer for me. I also loved the pepper blend, you can tell that the peppers are cut fresh and add a nice bit of crunch! The patio table is back and it brought a friend. Now there are two of them. Seems like there were at least 3 staff on duty today. Only took 12 minutes to get my order. Love that this place is a five minute walk from my office. A while ago I had the New Orleans salad, so this time I tried the quesadilla with the same ingredients minus the lettuce. It was amazing! Full of chicken, just the right amount of bacon, cheese and other ingredients. I didn't care for the salsa ranch but was happy that I ordered salsa as well! The salsa was really good and complimented the quesadilla well. The size of it was huge and at first I did not plan on eating it all...but I did! One kid got a Greek Wrap and a Texas Quesadilla, the other got the Florentine Quesadilla, I got the New Orleans 'chos. We couldn't understand why mine was named for New Orleans as the only slight nod to NOLA was the blackened chicken. I added my own sour cream. The food was kinda meh. I can make better but I don't really like cooking. Half my nachos went into the compost. The chips didn't taste very fresh and the lettuce certainly didn't look fresh! I really, really wanted to like this place! I didn't order a quesadilla though, so there's that, I ordered just the Mexican nachos with steak. Honestly, the steak didn't taste like steak. I don't know what it tasted like, but not steak. The toppings were rather sparse, and might I add, I ordered sour cream, salsa, and guacamole, all cost extra, (more than a couple bucks) even though these are NACHOS, and at any other nacho place, these are all included! Not to mention, got my order delivered...none of the sides I paid for were included in the order! The only good thing was that at least they put the cheese on the side, and it was good. This place sucks bad. I ordered the Texas 'chos. Supposed to be tortilla chips, grilled chicken, bacon, bbq sauce, shredded lettuce, and their 5 cheese queso. What I got was the worst tortilla chips I've ever had (from the very bottom of the bag), cold, cubed chicken pieces (barf), they forgot the bacon, shredded iceberg that looked like it was frozen, with some bbq sauce dribbled on it. After looking at the menu, we were excited to try the food. We were NOT disappointed. It was excellent. Using "pick-up," we got the Montreal and the Aztec for two of us to share. Turns out there was enough food for two meals for each of us. We preferred the Aztec. Our friends got the Cancun and said it was very good.
