Another great dining experience at Savor! Bringing the area fine dining at a reasonable price…read more We visited on a Saturday night at 5pm with a table of 3. Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable. The meal always starts with fresh baked bread service that is accompanied by butter, house pickles and either a hummus or garlic confit (in my experience). My mom is gluten free so she was bought her own dish with focaccia and a roll. She was over the moon about that and really enjoyed the focaccia. We all enjoyed every bit of our meal which included our choice if an appetizer, main dish and dessert from a prix fixe menu for $40. Some of our choices included charcuterie, arugula salad, tamarind shrimp curry, salmon and lemon meringue cheesecake. We left with our culinary needs satisfied and our stomachs full... we even had some leftovers. I can't wait to go back again. It's best to make reservations as they usually get fully booked. The menu changes each culinary semester as this is an instructional restaurant.

Savor is a not so hidden gem, that I just found about a few weeks ago. The restaurant is mainly…read morestaffed by students and staff of the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute of SUNY Niagara College. They also have staff working there that graduated from the program and were hired by the restaurant. This place is fantastic. As soon as we walked in, we notice the ambiance of the entire building is clean and well maintained. The restaurant has an open kitchen concept so you can see much of what is going on "behind the scenes". Upon entering the restaurant, we were appropriately greeted by staff who were very personable, respectful, and informative. The same attentive and personable service was given by the entire staff. We were able to ask questions about how the restaurant operates, being that it is operated by the Culinary Institute and its students and alumni. I'll spare you the details but it is an interesting dynamic. The food was excellent. We went for dinner and while there is a limited menu, the options were varied enough that anyone would be able to find something they will enjoy. This might be the most affordable three course meal I've had this decade. The food was prepared perfectly, the presentation was impeccable, and the service provided leaves nothing to be desired. The entire operation is run calmly and very efficiently. I am happy to have had the opportunity to dine at Savor and it is going on my short list of highly recommended upscale restaurants for anyone looking for a nice dinner at an affordable price. So if you're looking for a night out and don't want to break the bank, go support the students and alums from SUNY Niagara. I doubt you'll regret it at all. You can look up their operating schedules and make reservations online.

We went after six so finding parking was not an issue. The location is cute and very Instagram-able. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entry and decided on the patio which has ample space to spread out and enjoy. Our waiter was nice and friendly. Once he took our order and brought our food, he all but vanished. No check to see if our food/beverages were okay or if we needed anything...I asked the other waitress for a straw and she brought it with no napkin but just her bare hand! It was a paper straw so I just raw dogged it. Oh well, I was using the cutlery‍. The food...the menu said smash burger...I got a standard burger with barely a handful of fries. IF I AM PAYING TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS FOR A CHEESEBURGER I WANT FRESH BEEF AND A TON OF FRIES! I absolutely ate all of the food because I refused to waste my money on mediocrity. My beer flight was decent. We wanted to settle the bill but of course my waiter was no where to be found so we had to go inside to the bar to find him. Here's where it became uncomfortable for me, the tip. I really felt his service was nonexistent and wanted to tip him just $5 but the fact he was RIGHT in my face with the POS system it was weird. I don't ever want to patronize this establishment again. I won't, I refuse to.

The restaurant was not super busy and the ambience was clean, hip and relaxing. They have a great wine selection and a handful of vegan options. I had the roasted vegetables w hummus wrap and my husband enjoyed a burger of some kind. I'd definitely go back because it's part of the nice hotel, it felt upscale for decent prices.
