Like others, I'm very surprised by the 1-star reviews. Admittedly they were from several years ago, so maybe she was at a different practice as a number of the complaints seem to be about wait time and communication and such. IN ANY EVENT, I recently met and had an outstanding experience with Dr. Trucksess and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone. She seemed familiar with my situation but still asked questions and listened, never rushing me. She maintained a great dialogue with me throughout her testing process on my hand, walking me through what she was doing and explaining what she was finding. She is clearly extremely knowledgeable and had a fantastic bedside manner. I'd recommend her to anyone needing her specialty and would absolutely go back to her again if needed. read more

Went to her for a steroid shot....it did nothing for me. Went to someone else and it helped.

This doctor takes progressive noninvasive treatments and imaging, I have attended two of my wife's visits and dr trucksess has been professional, knowledgeable and informative. Dr trucksess was also personable and a good listener. Just my 2c read more

I've gone to see DR. Trucksess for first elbow pain and then ankle pain. In both cases, I came prepared with an MRI and had investigated her and the various procedures she did on the internet. I come from being a project manager so I always make sure I'm confirmed and check on timing before going to an appointment. Unfortunately, I do usually wait about 45 min. to an hour, but I've just accepted this with specialists. Dr. Tucksess was personable, thorough and got the job done efficiently. It did cost me out of pocket for the PRP procedure which I knew going in. Insurance covered her visit. In both cases, the PRP worked for me giving me about 95% recovery from pain in my elbow and ankle which could mean that there are other factors at play besides the moderate tear visible on the MRI (like arthritis, overuse, etc. ). I'm very happy with her generally although the staff could be more efficient. read more

I was trying to get Dr Trucksess' phone number off the internet to make another appointment and google sent me to yelp. I was really shocked at the one star reviews. I see a lot of doctors, and she truly is one of my very favorite. I have seen her for a few years, I find her smart, funny, caring and upbeat. For the issues I visit her for, she offers as help: PT, meds, exercise, or massage as all ways of dealing with the pain. She is very clear on how to take both prescribed meds and OTC meds--and what never to take at the same time. I have an upcoming appt with her (that I just made) and look forward to seeing her again. I would gladly recommend her to my closest friends. And the receptionist on the phone was extremely polite. If you see as many doctors as I do, you are going to run into someone on a bad day at some time. But after several years, I have had just great visits. Glad she is my doc! read more

I believe Dr Trucksess is one of the best I've seen. It was due to her astuteness and professionalism that I was able to be properly diagnosed. In today's medical industry, where assembly line doctor's offices are more common than not, it is refreshing to find a doctor who not only is knowledgeable and thorough but also takes the time to explain everything, call to check on you after a visit and follows up when promises to do so. read more

The bad reviews are accurate. I waited for two hours to see the doctor. I was told multiple times to wait longer and each time my time came up, I was told to wait a little longer. The doctor was a nice person but seemed mildly remorseful about the outrageous wait time. I was suppose to be contacted by the Dr.'s office within two weeks of my appointment to schedule a test that the doctor was suppose to conduct. No one every followed up with me and no test was scheduled. This appointment was a waste of my time and I think its not to be taken lightly. Its a doctor's office and should be run munch better. Was referred to this doctor by another in the practice. Got in to see her with no problem. Before I saw the doctor, a nurse led me into an examination room and started asking me questions as she began to prep me for a cortisone shot. She seemed confused when I had mentioned the medications I was on. She left and came back with the doctor after about 10 minutes. Doctor asked me if I was on certain medicines. I said yes and that this information was sent to her two weeks prior by the referring doctor. At that point, she starts looking through the file and finds what I was talking about. She says you can't have a cortisone shot which is what I was referred to her for. With that, the doctor left and the nurse said we can't do anything for you today. On top of this incompetence, I got billed for a full doctor's visit. I do not patronize doctors who don't do their homework. To try and charge me for this only heightened the fiasco. read more

This rating is based entirely on my experience in attempting to see Dr. Trucksess. Several weeks ago, my wife made an appointment for me to see the Dr. About an hour and 5 minutes prior to my 10 am appointment on Dec. 4, I received a call from the Drs. office letting me know that there were some complications as a result of the doctors daughter falling ill. The lady informed me that it was unlikely that the appointment would occur on time but I should come on time anyway. I asked her what the probability of me being seen in a reasonable time would be and what the probability of being seen at all would be. She said that she couldn't answer either. I had a busy work day and a flight to catch in the early afternoon and asked her what my options were. She said that I could come in and wait or they would be glad to reschedule my appointment. BUT she couldn't reschedule. Melissa, Dr. Trucksess' secretary would have to do that and that I would receive a call from her in order to reschedule. I couldn't take a chance and said that I would like to reschedule. As of Monday, Dec. 7. at noon I had not received that call. So I called and spoke to someone whom offered me an appointment on January 9 of 2016. I explained the situation and let her know that I was in pain and that there should be a way to be seen earlier because my appointment was effectively canceled by their office. I was told that I would need to speak to Melissa and was transferred which went to voice mail. I left a message and waited an hour and a half and called back and spoke to the same lady that offered me the Jan. 9 appointment and said I had not heard back and had been expecting a call since Friday the 4th. She insisted that I speak to Melissa. I explained to her that wasn't working as Melissa could not be bothered to call and set a new appointment. I begged this lady for another option and finally resorted to giving her my cell phone number and suggesting that she call Melissa and express my dissatisfaction and frustration and that if I didn't hear back from her, I was going to reach out to social media and any other venue I could find and share my story. I gave her my number and said that I would appreciate a call back from someone that could assist and said goodbye. Within two minutes Melissa called me and proceeded to rip me a new one. She completely pushed all of this onto me saying that I had cancelled the appointment. Not once did she apologize or even acknowledge the circumstances that had led to these phone calls. Nor did she offer an apology or explanation for not getting back to me on Friday or even Monday. I honestly believe that she was never going to call. Melissa wanted to fight, not get me an appointment. She was belligerent and hostile. This lady has no business in a professional practice that cares about its patients or its reputation. I told her what I thought and hung up. An hour later I received a call from a very nice lady that wanted to help. I told her that I had no interest in seeing that Dr. nor visiting that practice ever as a result of the treatment I received by Melissa. She was very kind and allowed me to tell my story. She agreed that i should have had a phone call on Friday to reschedule and that no one should be treated as I was. She was willing and able to reschedule me but I can't support a health care practice that has aggressive and hostile employees. There are other doctors. Prior to posting this review, as I wasn't sure I was going to, I read another review which must be about Melissa who is "the secretary". At the end of it all I can only offer to beware of how you will be treated. My guess is like a piece of trash.... read more

Her office cancelled my appointments twice and pushed it back once. I've had to wait 2-3 weeks for another appointment. Meanwhile, they give you no alternatives aside from go see another doctor. The office stay is rude and dismissive. Very disappointed read more

I saw Dr. Trucksess yesterday for the first time to do an EMG test on my right arm. She was extremely pleasant and personable. I did not have to wait for her and I would highly recommend her. if I need to go again, I will certainly choose her. She is the best!! read more

Dr. Trucksess is a great doctor and has helped me twice with injuries due to weight lifting. She diagnosed my injuries very accurately and prescribed the correct physical therapy to clear it up. I recovered 100% from both of the injuries and I will definitely visit Dr. T for anything in the future. read more

I have seen Dr. Trucksess four times: for evaluation, an EMG, and two epidural injections. In each case, I found her to be very knowledgable, thorough in explaining my treatment and answering questions, and extraordinarily gracious and caring. I have been seeing Dr. Trucksess for a couple of years now. She was able to get to the foundational issue of chronic back discomfort. Wow! The number of doctors I had seen trying to get to that answer is crazy. Yes, you might wait to see her, but it is absolutely worth it. I am beyond shocked at the one and two star reviews for this incredibly knowledgeable, caring, unpretentious, fabulous doctor - it's true you do have to wait to see her because she takes the same amount of time with every patient, she wants to understand what your problems are and how she can expertly help you, she isn't into rushing you through like an assembly line, for that go to a clinic, she is thorough and she really is funny and personable. I've only lived in NOVA for 8 yrs, I'm a native NYer and my primary care physician was at Beekman Downtown hospital in lower Manhattan near Chinatown and if you had an afternoon appt, you really needed to bring dinner because he spent whatever time needed to understand what was wrong and then to explain the diagnosis and treatment but he did that for everyone, I didn't think i would ever find another physician like him, well I did, for a second time, and it's Dr. Trucksess - read more

I am a regular fitness guy. I had an appointment yesterday with reference to my nagging knee pain with Dr Amanda. She was thoroughly professional. I found that she was very meticulous, keen, and surprisingly agile Doctor. I was taken aback at her suppleness in showing some of the knee exercises which would be a little difficult even for a physical exercising Pro ! She meant business as is done. I liked it. read more
