    Mango pineapple, yummm dairy free
    Kristen G.

I love that this food truck is on the pier! My boyfriend and I ordered one each. I tried the mango pineapple and he ordered the banana cream pie. The mango pineapple is dairy free which I liked. It tasted good, you can really taste the mango! I didn't taste pineapple though. But I liked it. The banana cream pie has whipped cream, Nutella, banana ice cream, and crushed graham cracker topping. So delicious!! This one was our favorite of the two. It is a little expensive, $11.50 for the two. I'm happy they aren't cash only. Quick and friendly service!

I wanted to love this but I didn't. I don't feel it deserves less stars either because I found out I reallllly don't like banana based ice cream lol. I think it's a perfect option for non dairy ice cream just was NOT my fav. I made my own creation of #1 with Oreo crumbs, hot fudge, and walnuts. Loved that it included 3 toppings because charging extra. I thought maybe what I ordered would be a re creation of my fav chunky monkey from Ben and Jerry's but nope. Looked so yummy but I ended up just eating the topping off of it only. I was told there was another base of mango and pineapple too so maybe I'll give that a try or try a "banana shake" instead next time. Maybe that will mask the banana flavor a little better?!

*Pre COVID Review* I visited Pier13 one afternoon and found the Amanda Bananas food truck. I was so excited to try something that was 100% dairy free, gluten free and vegan since dairy upsets my stomach. I was slightly afraid the consistency or taste would be off but I was proven wrong! I ended up trying the Banana Cream Pie ice cream. Omg, it was so delicious and the consistency was perfect. I loved the simple toppings and presentation. Roughly one scoop of icecream was $5. I would say this is fair for the product. Can't wait to try out all their other creations! I know their food truck is open for business at Pier13 in Hoboken. Be sure to check them out for a tasty treat!

Had the banana dessert a couple of times at different food truck events in hudson county.Very tasty and they have a wide variety of toppings.Healthy too.. which makes for a guilt free indulgence.

I do not understand how they make just bananas so creamy and delicious. But it's incredible! I got fluffernutter - nutterbutters, peanut butter and marshmallow fluff. 10/10 it was so good!

I ordered the s'mores flavor at Amanda Bananas. It was pretty good! Definitely something I would share because it was really sweet, but nonetheless a tasty treat!

mmmmmmm this place has a great concept. Unique and delicious. I got the banana cream pie and it was really good. I love the fact that i'm eating a dessert and its healthy. The fact that you can order it and sit at the pier and just enjoy the scenery. Its pure bliss. To me, I would get this very often for the pure fact that I love sweets and this would not kill me on the scale and it tastes like it would. The only downfall is that it is $5 for a small cup but it is worth it! I wanna try the almond joy next

    Fluff a nutter.. OBSESSED!!!

Absolutely in love with Amanda Bananas. Don't think I can pass up getting some when at Pier13 ever again...... Had a very hard time choosing, but ended up going with the fluff-a-nutter. SOOO good!!!! The actual banana base itself was so good that on a day i want to be healthier, I wouldn't mind more simple ingredients like chocolate chips and whipped cream. Gotta try it!

This food truck is located at Pier 13 in Hoboken so you get a tasty treat with a view. It's simply just frozen banana with the toppings of your choice or you can go with one of their creations. I went with the Banana Cream Pie which is topped with graham cracker crust, Nutella and whip cream. Sooo good! I believe they are all $5.00.

Love love love Amanda's bananas! My summers wouldn't be complete without it! The ice cream consistency is perfection, even though it's 100% bananas. My favorite is the banana cream pie which comes with a generous amount of whipped cream, Nutella, and crushed graham crackers. Couldn't recommend this more (obviously must like bananas).

YUM! I had the fluffernutter and wow was it good! What a brilliant idea. Thanks guys!

    Long line for Amanda Bananas!

If Amanda bananas had a storefront hear me, I promise I'd go every day. (Hint, hint)... The "ice cream" base is not ice cream in the least. It's made entirely from banana! No added ingredients, just banana!! From there you can add an assortment of toppings - from fresh fruit to peanut butter or whipped cream. For someone who used to eat ice cream every day, but stopped for health reasons, this is a dream come true!! It's creamy, refreshing and DELICIOUS ! One complaint - they are only open certain days / times because this is a food truck. They close for the winter I believe, but are at pier 13 in hall summer and go to events all over NJ in the spring, summer and fall.

Banana Cream Pie with Nutella. Everything you need but made in ice cream and toppings form. First time coming here and I love it.

Better than ice cream or frozen yogurt and super inexpensive that we end up grabbing it daily.

There are different types of cold treats: gelatos and more slushie like consistency frozen confections that are served in a cup. My vegan friend appreciated that he could choose from multiple vegan flavors, not just be limited to the one and only offering, which is what most places usually have. Melon flavor was incredible. Tasted like frozen melon was crushed with ice and chopped into an ice/smoothie blend. Super refreshing. Very sweet, though. All flavors are very sweet, so a small portion can be shared and you will feel satisfied. I personally enjoyed their in-house special flavor of gelato: honey cream with crushed almonds, pistachios, and hazelnuts. That was bombastic! Love how nutty the consistency was. I love nuts, so this almost reminded me of a chunky peanut butter situation: just more fine grained and smooth, with gelato being the base. Highly recommend trying this flavor! Focacia was okay. A bit too dry and bland for my liking, but still decent. My favorite item was the pistachio bombolone which is officially now my favorite dessert. This was magnificent! The yeasty dough was so light and airy--perfectly light and balanced. The filling of pistachio cream was very delicate and not sweet at all, which was such a nice surprise. I do not like saccharine dessert. The fresh raspberry jam was a perfect balance to the pistachio cream. I never like jams in my desserts, but this was a perfect complement. Woooow, what a treat! Can't wait to return for it and to try more of their other flavors--hazelnut & chocolate, coconut, white chocolate, tiramisu. You could taste the superb quality of the ingredients. Highly recommend.

Upon arrival we noticed the difference in crowds. Not as busy and packed sidewalks. Also it was a lot cleaner than Chinatown. Since we just ate at C-Town, it was time to find a good dessert place in K-Town. So we walked and we walked until I saw a banner sign showing shaved ice desserts. Then I noticed the name of the business is Grace Street. How fitting, because that is my wife's name. So we went in and what caught my eye was a mango shaved ice with mangoes, mochi, strawberries, and condensed milk, however I was over ruled by my wife and we went with the black sesame and mochi and condensed milk. It also had red bean, but that had to be on the side, since that gives me gout. Such nice staff taking orders and we went into the dining area to find a seat. What a large spacious area with many tables. Our order came out and it looked so good. The black sesame shaved ice or snow as it's also referred to as, was perfectly sweetened by the condensed milk and the chewy mochi. Definitely cleaned my pallet from our Chinese lunch and it helped cool me down from the New York heat. We got water, but there was no ice offered, so I asked one of the workers and he was kind enough to get me some. We are through that dessert like, if we didn't finish it fast, it was going to melt. We did not give it a chance to melt one bit. The staff here are efficient, as they saw we were done, they asked to clear our dessert bowl away. It was a nice experience even if it was just dessert. They definitely had more dessert options to offer, but i
