    Mint cookies & cream

Torico is the real deal. Homemade ice cream where you can actually taste the quality in every single bite clean ingredients, bold flavors, and nothing that tastes artificial. On a hot day, don't be surprised when the line is wrapped around the block. Worth every second of the wait. Their mint cookies and cream is one of those flavors that's hard to come by anywhere else and it does NOT disappoint. This is the spot Jersey City needs and deserves. If you haven't been, what are you waiting for?

Torico Ice Cream in Jersey City is such a fun and charming spot for anyone with a sweet tooth. The first thing that stands out is their incredible variety of flavors -- from the classic options like vanilla bean and cookies & cream to more unique tropical picks like lychee, jackfruit, ube, and avocado. It's the kind of place where you can always try something new no matter how many times you visit. The staff is super friendly and patient, letting you to sample a few flavors before deciding, which is great because it's genuinely hard to choose at times. They also have a diverse selection of cones, from classic waffle cones to sugar cones and even specialty ones that make your dessert. The shop itself has a warm, welcoming atmosphere with bright colors and that classic ice cream parlor feel. It's perfect for a quick dessert stop after dinner or a casual weekend stroll. Overall, great service, delicious ice cream, and so many flavor options. Definitely a great spot for a quick, grab-and-go treat in Jersey City.

Very creamy and delicious. A very wide selection of season and regular flavors, as well as malts, shakes, floats, etc. Friendly staff and responsible prices. Generous scoop sizes.

The best ice cream shop in JC! An amazing variety of flavors, have both ice cream and sorbets. The workers are super friendly and helpful. The line is usually down the block in the summer time!

Black Sesame Ice Cream here was definitely one of the best I've had. I'm pretty sure the other flavours would be just as grand, but it's quite rare to find black sesame ice cream flavour and I could feel and taste the bits of the black sesame. So nutty and somewhat smoky. Servers handled long lines well. I liked the story written on the walls inside the one cream shop.

Yeah, I can see why this is one of Jersey City's best ice cream parlors according to the people. A local-owned spot with impeccable ice cream. Because this is my first time here, I had to order the cookies & cream to see how the ice cream is. The taste was amazing. I went at a slower time, of course (Sunday late afternoon), so didn't have to experience real lines, though there was a nice crowd here. Regardless of the line, I'd probably return if I had the opportunity. Will definitely be back soon.

Considering the crowd of people that were lined up in the store, the service was pretty fast. My friends and I tried samples of some of the flavors, and the staff were really friendly the whole time. I ordered a regular cup of coffee cookie and black sesame, and both were delicious! The black sesame in particular impressed me; I never had black sesame ice cream before, and it tasted very authentic. Will come here again to try out more flavors!

Jesus Christ. My fav ice cream shop in JC. No matter how busy it gets, service is fast and friendly. Ambiance gives you old school feel. And flavors are Devine. So many tropical flavors !! I came back again and again for the soursop and black sesame. Skip the big name shops and come here. The ice cream isn't diabetes sweet it's just right.

Great location for the locals and tourists. Local friends brought us here after dinner. So many not-so-typical flavors for ice-cream and sorbets. Between four of us, we tried: tamarind, jackfruits, vanilla, chocolate, and coconuts. Super friendly staff and quick orders. It also has a cute little window side-door for to-go / delivery orders. The place is very popular with the locals, so many people with dogs as patrons. It was a short visit but it made an impression. I will be back soon!

I've really been in the mood for ice cream lately and had to try Torico after having dinner at Razza. It's just a short walk through the pedestrian Street. When we arrived, the wait wasn't too long, but there was a good sized crowd for a Thursday. I was craving Rocky Road with sprinkles, and I decided I needed a waffle cone. Is it possible to complain about too many sprinkles? They were very generous with way more than enough. The rocky road ice cream itself was delicious, and I enjoyed the flavor of the waffle cone. Next time my dog Jeffrey needs a pup cup!

Torico's ice cream has been nestled in the heart of downtown for years now. It's a jersey city staple at this point. As soon as you walk into their quaint little shop you get hit with the smell of sweet delicious ice cream. They have so many flavors I swear it can get overwhelming . flavor ranging from Banana all the way to plum, and yams! They have a varied of italian ice and soft serve as well. The price is reasonable for the amount and delicious treat you get. The workers are friendly and always smiling. The wait can be long but that's what happens when you're popular I ordered a small green tea in a cup and it was $5. Def ate it in like 5 bites. Perfect way to end my long 12 hour shift

Omg the line to get in here on a weekend is out of control but with reason !!! This is some of the best ice cream I've had! I tried the papaya summer flavor ( so good) and the homemade cheesecake pound cake ( must have , woah! ) . I waited on line for 15 minutes & there was still many more people lining up behind me - it's worth the wait !! Parking can be a little tough in this area so plan ahead. They don't have seating inside but they have a couple of benches outside that make for a good place to eat your ice cream. I highly recommend checking this place out, I am definitely coming back !!

And I'm from Maryland (Murlyn), I don't mean a sno-ball. I mean that flaky, instantly melting ice carved mechanically using some kind of drill motor with all the torque, off a block the size of a dorm fridge and then topped with syrupy fruits and condensed milk and such. And this wasn't that either, but I now need to find a place for this near me. It was more like regular ice cream at a soft-serve consistency, topped with all the things-- that part was as expected. Hubs & I were thinking of getting two different things but we both wanted the mango madness, and then the checkout person said it was the size of a quart container. So just one then. I wish we got to see it being made up but it was full in there (at 10p, after the theaters let out), and they seated us and gave us a buzzer that went off almost immediately. We almost didn't finish it even between the two of us. Absolutely delicious, just overwhelmingly enormous. It could be a low-grade food challenge to complete it! And with all that fruit, actual mango chunks and a banana, it's practically a healthy snack. Gotta find one of these closer to home!

B&J had several cake options, and you can choose two flavors, and a middle and bottom layer. The cake was really good! I don't really notice the bottom layer but still delicious and I prefer this over Cold Stone now. I orderd a medium size 8 inch, and it definitely was a healthy 8-10 servings as advertised. The box was too wide and it wouldn't fit in my freezer though which was a bit of a problem but luckily it's winter so I put it outside for a while. The other thing that was difficult was transporting it home since they don't have a shopping bag wide enough to hold the bag upright with handles so I had to carry it the whole walk home. Very tasty though and my husband loved it!

Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.
