I was quickly greeted by the owner (I believe his name is David) & he helped me get my car up on the rack. Upon further inspection it was determined that the heat shield above the muffler which joins the lower valance of the rear bumper didn't need to be replaced after all. I just needed to drive the 4 bolts in with more pressure until they grabbed the metal. Not only did he save me tons of time & money, he also helped restore my faith in good honest hard working shop owners. I was impressed at how nice he was & at the same time how honest he was. In today's world finding an awesome shop you can trust to look out for your best interest is becoming more & more rare. Looking forward to bring more of my cars here soon. Gives verbal estimates without knowing price of the parts or labor. Prices are high for mobile mechanic and seems like he makes them up without any connection to the work done. He doesn't provide prices upfront. Had I known how much he charged for his labor, I would not have used his services. For brakes and rotors, his labor was almost $300 which is more than a legitimate shop. It takes about 30 minutes to change pads and rotors.

Since I've got a vintage Mustang and needed a performance rebuild done on the 40-year-old 302 engine that was very similar to his engine, I figured it was an A+ recommendation. They do performance car engines, truck engines, and boat engines, and work with you closely to see what your driving habits and expectations of the engine are, and have excellent communication skills throughout the process. I had a bad experience with a crate engine builder across the country who offered great prices, but the customer service and communication were extremely poor. Shawn and Frank are the polar opposite, and they have done an excellent job on my (almost-finished) 331 rebuild. It's gonna be a reliable street beast, and it will be a gorgeous hunk of 40-year-old cast iron and new aluminum when it's done. And it creates less waste to re-use your old engine and give it more economical fuel injection than to buy a new one. The extra 200hp are just a side benefit. ;-) I'll be sure to update when the engine's done, but so far these guys have been a top-notch business to work with. Not cheap, mind you, but the Mustang deserves a nice new engine once every 40 years or so . . .

This has been the worst shop I ever taken my project car to. Richard Fox didn't do a great job on…read moremy 2006 Mazda Rx8. Top it off he didn't take care of my car. He took 1 year and few months and couldn't complete my project. Couldn't tune my Rx8, didn't know how to get it start it. Another thing he left my Rx8 outside of the shop property. FedEx and O'Reillys Workers would see it outside parked with windows down and not being touch it or work on. My car did get lots of damages that's going to cost me about $4000 to get it repaired. I wouldn't take or recommend this shop to any car project lovers. I had to pull the plug and had my Rx8 towed out from there. He refuses to give Creative Auto Lab his Insurance info so they can take care of it. I sent him a email and no reply. Calls he ignores or blocks us from calling. Please people do your research about any shop you going to hand over your car to. Time to go to court Richard. Oh yeah they almost took like a year to order my exhaust parts and other parts I need it. Maybe you guys where good few years back but not no more. He currently has a law suit against Zipin Out in the County of Alameda. This body shop is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau and has had his license revoked and delinquent on and off since the past few years. Be SURE to look him up before engaging in business with him. He REFUSES to give me a bill, has NOT worked on my car, has NOT provided evidence that he ordered parts for my car with the money I provided to him upon his request. This body shop is dishonest and will make you go through the legal channels if you want your car back unless you pay him what he determines without any proof of work. BeWARE. This body shop is not consumer friendly.
