5 stars for Bob purely based on honesty, professionalism, kindness and customer service…read more I reached out regarding damage on my salvaged VW CC after a hit-and-run from an unregistered RV. Bob gave me a realistic quote, but more importantly, he took the time to genuinely guide me instead of just trying to sell me on expensive work that didn't make financial sense for my situation. Even though I'm probably not going through the full body shop route, he still went out of his way to explain my options, educate me on the differences between body work vs PDR, referred me to someone he trusted, and even personally vouched for me and texted the guy on my behalf trying to help me out. That level of kindness and authenticity is rare these days. You can tell Bob genuinely cares about people and takes pride in doing things the right way. If I ever needed proper body shop work done in the future, he'd absolutely be one of the first people I'd call. Highly recommend.

If you want an experience where the body shop damages your vehicle and completely denies any…read moreresponsibility, a constant hassle of them saying your car is complete only for you to find that it's not, and for the timeline to be quadrupled then Bob's Bridge is the shop for you! The biggest problem is that they damaged my vehicle. No question about it. You can see the before and after pics with dates. My car had a small chip in the middle before the service but no chip on the left side. I know they damaged it because how I got the chip that in the first place because I slammed the trunk hard, thus chipping the glass. And this body work included fixing the trunk not able to close properly, so I'm positive they slammed the trunk thus chipping the glass in a different area. After telling Boris about the damage he completely denied responsibility and he has a way of not saying he won't pay for it, but rather pushing that issue to the side and saying we'll let's finish your body job and then maybe we can discuss the damage issue. But when the job was done I said he would need to compensate for the job and he said he's not paying anything. His defense was saying they don't work on glass so it's impossible for them to have caused the issue. But as I mentioned above, the chip likely came from somebody slamming the trunk. Additionally, Boris told me my car was done 6 times (yes, six!!!) when every time it was not. I don't live in Fremont so each time I had to drive to 45+ minutes, or waste money on Uber/Bart just to find out that the car needs to remain in the shop for further work. This is due to their poor craftmanship. You can see in the pics that they wanted me to pick my car up when there was damage on the bumper, poor paint job on the rear tailgate that made it red (they were so cheap on the job that they got aftermarket parts, so I didn't realize that they got a tailgate from a red tesla and painted it grey , which I never agreed to at the beginning of the job), sensors not being reinstalled, and the brake light was not installed correctly. Still, after taking it back 6 times, although most of the redness is gone there are still minor scratches that were never there before the accident. Boris has hung up on my phone calls so despite their "warranty" I'm not even able to go back there again so I'm just going to have to deal with it. The weirdest part about this whole experience was that one of the 6 times they said my car was complete they put on bumpers that had no holes for the sensors. So basically the tesla drove like a normal car without being able to detect what's in front or behind it. I still have no clue why they would do this?!?! Why would you put on the wrong car parts?? I told them to keep it in the shop but they insisted that I take my car because it would take a week for them to get the parts, paint them, put the sensors in, etc etc. Of course this took 2.5 weeks instead of 1 and then he didn't fix the sensor problem so I had to drive out again and wait another week. Ugh. It was such a hassle. And of course Boris was claiming that he had nothing to do with the sensors being a problem that they caused . Really Boris? The sensors were fine before I took it into your shop so please explain that one to me . Lastly, they said this job would take 1.5-2.5 weeks. It took 2 MONTHS. Yes, 2 months. And still my car has scratches and the windshield chip I mentioned. Not to mention I had to pay 100% of the cost up front which is extremely sketchy. Body shops only require 50% up front at most to buy parts. They claim that I had to do that because they gave me a good deal. I don't buy that one bit. Be weary they will also want you to Zelle so you can't dispute the charge!! I disputed the charge but unfortunately lost. I will be taking Bob's Bridge Collision Center to small claims court to recover the cost of them damaging my rear windshield. Avoid this shop at all costs and don't make the mistake that I did. They are liars.

10 STARS! If you're…read morelooking for something more than just a business that will deal with you, but more like a family or friend that takes care of you and will hook you up specially treating you like it's personal, this place is what you want! I had a minor incident that left considerable scratches, markings, and a small dent or two on my 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander (not white). I dropped by just to get an estimate, and even though I didn't make an appointment, Elias was cool & considerate enough to still take me and checked it out. Where one collision repair shop in Fruitvale estimated $1800 (to take the whole panel off and work it), and another in Hayward estimated over $500, Elias hooked me up with the MOST unbelievable subtracting discount! I think & imagine I would only see something reserved to be offered in that degree given to a business owners' personal family or friends! To add to the exceptional, he and his guy offered to take care of me right there and then even though it was the late in the day (and it's not like I didn't see other cars being worked on too). I waited with him in his office, and we were just shooting the breeze. Elias is just the coolest, chillest, most laid back, most personable guy. A guy that's eager to do you a favor, do what he can for you; completely why you can see how I described him/them as an establishment/person that will treat & take care of you like a family or friend. And if you are big dog lover like I am, there's a bonus with his office/business, and I loved hanging out with him and his dog (I think his name was Jake). That dog is just a big teddy bear that just wants your attention and to play with you. In the end, for what he offered to do it for and considering it was just what they were able to fit in late in the day, I would say it got back to 98% there (so much so I even offered to give more $, which he wouldn't take [would only accept this Yelp review and pets to the dog]). To the extent that when I very apprehensively/fearfully showed it to my very scrutinizing-type wife, she accepted it and even took to it without having me take it back and get any more work done (to complete it by the last 2 percent; get it to the full 100%)! This goes to show that this place is as surprisingly impressive and proficient as I was surprised by my very scrutinizing wife's acceptance & approval. Couple notes about this place -- try not to park in the back, they do work there with cars coming in & out (it's not just for temporarily placing cars like I thought haha); just park in front of the garage opening (he prefers it right outside his office to see what has to be done). Also, as mentioned before, it's best to make an appointment even for an estimate. Elias (and Jake[?]) and his guy (I really wish I got his name; because I highly doubt I would've gotten such an awesome outcome if he wasn't willing as well) are the best! I can't imagine finding a cooler, most considerate guy in this. He/They did it with such quality work (look at my other estimates & what it would take) where I'm off the hook with my rather scrutinizing wife, and he/they did me the hugest favor with what he/they offered to do it for (that I imagine like only reserved for family or friends), I'm sure he'd treat & do the same for you or anybody.

I used Yelp for a few businesses on repair estimates for my dented front bumper cover on my Rav4…read more Did you know that the car's frame is mostly steel or aluminum to protect drivers and passengers, sensors, electronics, etc. but in most cases the outside cover is bendable plastic for aerodynamic reasons? The bad news is that plastic deforms too much from a collision, you can't just massage it back to shape with a hair dryer. Also, who knows if anything else on the car behind the plastic is damaged or out of alignment. California Collision came to the rescue and was able to replace my bumper cover, have it painted, and then recalibration done for the various car sensors to eliminate fault codes. Even minor collisions can cause sensors to be faulty, so don't assume it's a cosmetic thing and try to cut corners and get your vehicle repaired properly. The job took a few hours one day to paint match, then a separate full day to install, recalibrate, and test drive the vehicle to ensure bo more fault codes. George was extremely friendly and transparent with the repair process. He even gave me a tour of his shop and explained the workflow. Its a family business as his son and daughter also work here. He obviously values work-life balance and is closed Friday-Sunday. Body Shops are not cheap but if you need a thorough repair and want things done right, I highly recommend California Collision. If paying out of pocket, use a debit card with a high spend limit to avoid credit card fees.

Don't do that. After I wisely had my car towed home instead, I took a deep breath, talked to my regular mechanic, and he recommend I send it to George at California Collisions. This was a very good choice. George and his staff did the grueling work of haggling with the insurance company, multiple times, over weeks. He also did an excellent job reconstructing my vehicle within the constraints of the insurance coverage. I got my adventure wagon back in good-as-new condition. Customer service and communication were excellent. About 15,000 miles later the rebuild has been tested and proven. Happy to support and rep this business.
