Holy molely I cannot believe what just happened!! I was at the Yelp's National Pancake Day, minding my business of hot cakes and hashbrowns, when BAM, my world changed. Amaze Me Sonu came by our booth and definitely AMAZED us! From floating cards to transporting cute little (foam) bunnies into closed hands while Sonu is several feet away...I was blown away! Sonu is engaging and energetic, too. He was a hit at the event and I wanted to keep seeing more. Thinking of a number?, Sonu can tell you what it is. Pick a card and Sonu can turn that card colors. We had Sonu emcee our wedding reception and he did a fabulous job. He seamlessly transitioned from the traditional wedding stuff (speeches, first dance, etc) to fun illusions, card tricks (with oversized cards visible from the back of the room), and audience participation games. He even (somehow) got my new bride hula hooping! I have gotten the pleasure of seeing Sonu perform several times in smaller settings, but was very impressed how he could scale up his act to be just as fun in front of 400 people. Really Great! I'll admit, I was skeptical because magicians can be either great or cheesy and Sonu was really great. He gets volunteers from the audience, but he doesn't make them look stupid, he just lets them assist him. He even came over and showed us tricks up close that really amazed me. My wife and I finally had an opportunity to see Sonu in action (a show for about 150 people), and we are very happy we did so. It was great fun and entertaining. Sonu performed numerous 3-7 minute tricks, illusions and predictions - all of which were high quality. His bits aren't one-off card gags - "pick a card, any card" or the like. They were more cerebral than that, as each left us wondering "how did he do that?" or "how did he know that?" In short, my wife was happy, I scored points for "something fun and different", and it was a date night we'll remember. My son has a Critical Congenital Heart Defect and Sonu put on a personalized, professional, well thought out, and an unforgettable performance for his 5 year milestone. Being a two time heart failure patient himself, Sonu felt a connection to my son and was very generous with his time and talent. He made a personal "Heart Warrior" cloth with my son's name on it that he magically changed from red to purple during the performance. Sonu's tricks are not the average magic tricks!
