I was in need of purchasing my first car to get everything ready for my college commute in the fall. I heard of Heidi during one of my google searches for a used car months back and I knew how time consuming and stressful it could be having to go through a dealership or private seller. After a few days of really not finding anything that matched what I was looking for both car and financial wise, I decided to contact Heidi through email. I am not joking when I say that the whole process of me contacting her and having my car parked in front of my house took 48 hours. I contacted her on Monday afternoon, and by Wednesday afternoon everything was done. From price negotiation, financing, paperwork, and taking the car home. I'd like to highlight Heidi's connections within the industry when it comes to price negotiation and financing. I got approved for less than desirable terms or outright declined unless I did a huge down payment with other places before coming to her. The financing terms through Heidi were amazing. I opted to just go to the dealership myself and since I was there already I figured I might as well bring it home at the same time. I was in the market for a model year 2024 BMW X5 Plug in Hybrid EV. I wanted the car to come out of an Oregon dealer, due to a lower tax rate where I live in Washington, versus buying it in Bellevue, Seattle, or any other BMW dealer in the state of Washington. I have used auto brokers before, so I'm somewhat familiar with how they work. My first call was to a broker in Oregon, thinking he would have contacts at BMW dealers in the state. Long story short, the guy was a blowhard. The first price he got for me was at MSRP, and he wanted to charge me $500 for his services. Later, he did get the price down some, but I just didn't feel comfortable working with him. It needs to be said that the particular trim; (X5 xDrive50e PHEV) I wanted was a custom build only, and no Puget Sound area dealers had any inventory. BMW couldn't build them fast enough to meet demand. Thus, dealers were very stingy with discounts. So I called Heidi, "THE AMAZING AUTO WOMAN," thinking she may have a resource in Oregon. Turns out she used the same dealer, and the same sales person. She was able through her relationship with him to save me even more than the other broker, and she did so for a lower fee. Furthermore she is a delightful lady to work with. Every time BMW updated the build progress she sent me an email to advise me. Her whole schtick, was about making this a very pleasant process for me. She met her goal in Spades! Do yourself a favor, if you're in the market for a new car, give Heidi a call. I asked Heidi to find a 2021 Mazda CX-5 AWD in machine metal gray and she did. She is friendly, well-connected, and answers texts and emails quickly. But her claim to deliver a "great value" wasn't true in my case after she only contacted one dealership on my behalf. Going through Heidi might be convenient, but her $400 fee isn't the main cost to the client; the REAL cost to you is when you pay WAY too much to one dealership that doesn't need to compete with other dealerships. I was comfortable with Heidi "knowing someone at a Mazda dealership who would give me a good price" until I compared that offer to several others that I personally obtained. I understand that Heidi can't guarantee her clients the lowest price, but wouldn't common sense dictate contacting at least 2-3 dealerships to compare their offers? By finding my own deal, I saved $2,400 compared to her 1st offer and $1,076 less than her 2nd offer, including delivery. PS: In response to Heidi's response - I never expected her to "contact every dealer in WA" on my behalf. No need to exaggerate! Heidi could have taken 30 seconds to email So. Tacoma Mazda for a quote. That's what I did, and their OTD price was at least $1,000 below Heidi's first offer. "I really tried?" I don't think so. I initially got an auto reply that she was on a holiday, sometime later I got an email from her asking me to get the best price from the dealer and then contact her. I think that defeats the purpose of having someone in the middle, the reason I would go to her would be to get out of the whole hassle of negotiating with the dealers, not to give her my best price and then let her use that to get a better price or tell me she cant do any better. If you ARE like me, you know that the bigger the decision, the more research you feel like you have to do, and it won't surprise you to read that last year when my husband and I decided to buy a (used) car, I spent over 80 hours researching to find us just the right car. I had never heard of Heidi, "The Amazing Autowoman," until I came across her Yelp page and all of its stellar reviews - but I wish a friend or family member had told us about her sooner. In August of this year my husband and I again found ourselves in the position of needing to purchase a car (this time to replace mine instead of his), and this time I had a full time job preventing me from spending weeks researching our options. I found Heidi, and decided to try saying no to my inner control freak for once. I sent my first email to her on a Saturday, letting her know generally which makes/models/years I had in mind and what our budget was. I indicated I'd love to get a new car, but figured we'd have to go with used - since I couldn't find a new one we could afford, not even through the Costco auto program. On Monday morning - Heidi contacted me to let me know she had found my dream car, brand new, with an outstanding financing offer to boot. All things considered (including Heidi's very reasonable consultation fee), it would cost us over $2K LESS than what we'd expected to spend. This woman has connections! A week later, we had our new car. We did the financing application paperwork using our printer/scanner and over email. Heidi made the whole process very quick and easy, and she was extremely transparent about everything, so I never had any fears about this whole thing being "too good to be true." I do want to note that there was a small snafu when we noticed that one (truly minor) feature of the car wasn't quite what we'd expected, but Heidi impressed us again here by truly going above and beyond to resolve it for us. The dealership offered to find another car to replace the one we had, but I needed the car to get to and from work, so I didn't want to wait and be car-less for another week. Heidi bent over backward to take care of all negotiations with the dealership for us that same day, and was able to get the price of the car reduced even further to make up for the issue. Now that I've had a few months for all of this to "process" in my mind, I am absolutely satisfied with the way Heidi handled this unexpected situation. At first I thought this Heidi person was too good to be true, but then after having bought a car from her I can say that her service is top notch and she was able to save me money even on a relatively in demand new car! Before talking to Heidi I spent two weeks talking to car dealerships along the coast from Portland to Everett and almost every conversation left me with some combination of frustration and disdain. I felt none of that while talking to Heidi. In fact she actually makes the process feel good! Here's the most notable differences I saw while working with Heidi: 1 - Unlike most car salespeople, she is very comfortable working online only. Even the dealerships that claim that there's "no hassle" insist that I call or drop by in order to see the price on the car I wanted. Do they not understand that the introverted tech nerd market (which has a lot of disposable income...) hate dealing with things in person? 2 - Heidi was always straightforward with me. When I asked a simple question to car salesman they always replied using a few hundred more words than necessary; usually they include a sales pitch for an add-on or whatever. Heidi never tried to sell me extras or spend five minutes answering a simple question. She doesn't waste my time and I really appreciate that. 3 - She interacted with me as if I was a normal person. Car salesman I've talked to before her all treated me as if I was an idiot or heaped on fake praises like the evil imperial advisers do before they backstab their kings. It felt like I was in an abusive relationship with them. Heidi didn't do any of that. She just sold me a car without manipulating me or my emotions, and it was all a pleasant and low stress affair. Heidi is fantastic! I had high expectations of her after reading all of the good reviews here and somehow she managed to exceed those expectations. Here is a breakdown of her services and why I feel so great about recommending her: Response time: I sent Heidi an email with a detailed list of what I was looking for (a year-old van to be used as a work van). She called me within hours to discuss my email. I wasn't expecting a call for a day or two, since I had sent an email and not left a voicemail. Knowledge: Heidi knows so many things that I would have no way of knowing, such as dealer incentives, availability and demand. Recommendations: I asked for a year-old van, and Heidi was more than happy to find one for me. But she also gave me the option of spending a little (really, very little) more and getting a brand new van fully under warranty. She explained that the van model I was looking for (Dodge Grand Caravan) is a favorite of rental agencies, therefore most of the used vans out there were former rental cars (something I did not like). After telling her that I was open to the idea of a new van, she had a quote to me the next day, and she was absolutely right - it was scarcely more expensive than the used rental agency vans. Connections: She clearly has lots of connections in the industry. I could never shop a vehicle the way she can shop a vehicle, even if I had the time and desire. Timing from start to finish: From the time I sent Heidi my initial email to the time I had my new car was under a week. Incredible! Conclusion: I ended up with a better van than I expected to get for virtually the same amount of money I was expecting to spend. My invested time was minimal and it was the easiest and smoothest transaction I've ever had with a vehicle. I will use Heidi again and again. There aren't many services like hers out there in any industry, much less in the auto-buying industry. And did I mention that she has a wonderful, upbeat personality? I just had my first experience with leasing a truck with Heidi, and I have to tell you I will NEVER buy or lease a vehicle any other way again. Heidi took care of every part of the process that I've despised about buying a car. No negotiation, no sitting for hours filling out paperwork (while feeling like no matter what I do I'm going to overpay) - no "upsells" by the finance manager after the long negotiations with the manager and the manager's manager. I found Heidi by doing an Internet search and after reading her reviews, decided to contact her. Unfortunately, my experience with her was not that of most of her positive reviewers. She did respond quickly to my initial voicemail and after a brief conversation, she sent me a text with a couple of potential options from the dealer she said she works with, Bruce Titus. Right away, she also sent me a text with a link to a truck that she said was on her lot, which is Auto Connections in Bellevue. The truck at Auto Connections looked perfect initially (I looked at the listing on my phone while I was talking with her), so I let her know right then that I'd meet her in Bellevue the next afternoon to look at it. As soon as I had a chance that evening, I took another look at the truck at Auto Connections. When I reviewed the Carfax on the truck, I learned that the vehicle had had 3 owners (for a 5 year old truck) and had been involved in 2 accidents, one of which Carfax classified as "moderate to severe damage" (see my attached photo of the damage report). So I took a look at the other 2 vehicles, which were at Bruce Titus. The first one didn't have one of the primary features I needed. The other one looked perfect but it was what looked like a hideous brown color to me. I'm partially color blind so some colors are just not something I want to look at every day and this was one of them. So, I texted Heidi back that evening, told her I was no longer interested in the truck at Auto Connections based on the Carfax report and that I'd like to find one with the features of the brown one, just not in brown. I gave her my 3 "preferred" colors, but didn't say the truck HAD to be in those colors (see my attached photos of the text). Heidi texted back the next morning that she'd review the Carfax and call me later that morning. She called me exactly when she said she would, but to my surprise, just said that she didn't think the Carfax damage report was that bad and that she really didn't think she was going to be able to find the truck I was looking for since I was looking for specific colors. I started to tell her that I had already found what looked like the perfect truck and wanted to work with her to handle the transaction, but her tone when she talked with me that morning, changed my mind about that. I get that Heidi is a business person and doesn't want to waste her time with someone who is being unrealistic, but I was far from that being that person. My impression of Heidi is that unless you're willing to buy the vehicle she offers initially so she can complete the deal very quickly and move on, she doesn't want to be bothered. read more

Hard to find car, found by Heidi & LGBT friendly! My husband and I were having a very hard time ordering a new 2015 rare car from the dealers, so we called Heidi! We have recently relocated to Seattle from Germany and were looking for a brand new car. Heidi was recommended straight away by various folks (natives from the puget sound area as well as "transplants"). But I was a little hesitant and we tried to get a car on our own. Oh, I wish we wouldn't have tried that. After spending 4 evenings of our time after work and 2 Saturday afternoons, we decided to contact her. The experience with car dealers that we had (we tried several) - which we were told is very typical - was just awful. Heidi was to exact opposite: She replied to emails very timely. Her communication was straight forward and at the same time super friendly. And there was no bullshit involved at no time. She found our car - a black 2015 Ford Edge Sport - within 4 days, although all the dealers told me that it's impossible to get one. Only 4 more days later, she delivered the car at the time I wanted, where I wanted. During the process, I got a text message or email every day from day one where she explained to me what was going on. The deal we got was really, really good, too. I was told later by a colleague who's into cars that it's an amazing deal. The paperwork that I had to do was 30min at home to prepare everything for lease agreement and send it to Heidi and then 10min during the delivery, and that was it. No stupid waiting for 30min to get the next "good deal from the manager", or "let me check with my manager what we can do for you". Heidi helped me purchase exactly the kind of pre-owned vehicle that I was after. The best deals on used Subarus in this area go fast, and with Heidi's help I was able to quickly secure the car I wanted. She even negotiated a discount with the dealer, which I'm very grateful for. I first spoke with Heidi on a Monday and had the car delivered on Friday. There are two reasons for the four star as opposed to five star review. The first is that early in the week I asked her to verify whether I'd need a cashier's check ready, as I use a bank without physical branches so would need to order one. She assured me that personal check was fine. A couple days later, she called and said a cashier's check was actually required (unless I consented to a credit check, which I did not) so this caused a delay in the delivery of my vehicle because I had to deal with the bank for an extra day. This was slightly frustrating because I had foreseen this being a problem. The second reason is that on the day of delivery, Heidi arrived separately from the dealer representative, and both of them assumed that the other had the paperwork on them. Unfortunately the paperwork was left behind at the dealership across town. I ended up having to shift an appointment around that afternoon so that the dealer rep could come back with the paperwork later. When he returned to have me sign the paperwork, the guy was unprepared (sounded like in their haste to send someone over with the correct paperwork, which I appreciated, they sent someone who does not typically deal with the finances/signing so he did not instill a lot of confidence as we went through the forms). Later in the day the dealer contacted me to apologize and say they were actually missing my signature on several forms. So I am still finalizing the purchase of my car. Heidi was truly a pleasure to work with. Car buying has never been so simple. I'm one of the laziest people that I know and I absolutely hate haggling with sellers. Everyone knows car salesman are the hardest people to deal with and you just can't help but think you're about to get ripped off. Heidi the Amazing Auto Woman helped me secure a lease deal that was in every way superior to what the dealerships can offer (or the ones I could find). Less monthly payment, Less down payment, More miles per year. How does that happen? I don't know, but it did happen and I'm a happy customer! Communication /setup was easy. My wife and I love Heidi! She has been absolutely awesome to work with. We have purchased our last two vehicles from her and haven't had a single complaint. The amount of money we've saved is substantial when compared to the "deals" some of the local car dealerships wanted to give us. The savings she secured for us more than made up for her fee (which is very reasonable). In buying a used car, I decided to start with a reputable dealer and not deal with any "Low-low prices!!" "Great deals!" or "Super clean" dealerships. I wanted a quality used car, and I knew I needed to pay closer to $10,000 to get one rather than $2,500 for a junker. I contacted Heidi directly via email. She was great, and so was the dealership at which she worked (Auto Connection). Personal yet professional. She found a couple cars that fit what I needed (low milage, decent mpg) and were within my financial limits (under $10,000 out the door). She suggested a couple cars, and the next day I was test driving the one that I was most interested in. After the test drive (which I did by myself), I said I wanted to get a used car inspection at the mechanic of my choice. She and the owner (Stu) agreed. Heidi and I drove it around the block to drop it off. The next day, I discussed the issues that the car had. With knowledge of the car status as well as the KBB value, I suggested a reasonable price (well below the advertised price) and we shook. After all taxes and fees, I paid under $9,500 for a wonderful 2007 sedan with only 70k miles on it. Everything was very easy and even enjoyable. I will go back again when I need another car. My suggestion to others if buying a used car: Contact Heidi with what you want. Know the KBB value and get a used car inspection. So where do I start! In Dec 2012 I began looking into new cars and had settled on a model I wanted, even got a decent price from a local dealer on our second visit...then...let the games begin. After 5 hours in the dealership and having them try to talk me into car options I DIDNT want I left mad, frustrated and without a car. I absolutely despise the car dealer experience; the cheesy jokes, the cat and mouse game, it's simply horrible. Then a good friend of mine said "Have you ever tried an auto broker?" I was like "A what? Are you serious?" I was skeptical at first, seemed to me like I should be doing that stuff for such a big purchase right? Well you use a real estate broker for your house don't you? why not an auto broker? I can say with full confidence I will never even think about going to a dealership again and I will use Heidi the Amazing Auto Woman for my car buying needs from here on out! Heidi was simply great! We called her on a Friday talked briefly about what we wanted, options etc. and roughly the price range we expected. Then Heidi went into high gear. By that very next Monday, two days later, she's found our car! Every option we wanted, a better price then we'd said and she could have it for us by end of week. I few emails with some light paperwork details, I secured my own credit but she also helped shop financing for me but mine was just as good so I went with it. No harm there, she's all about customer service and making you feel good about what's going on and making it as easy for you as possible. And it was! We picked up our car on Friday, my wife and I looked at each other and said "that's it? We're done?"
