It was a bit uncomfortable, but the results were good and I was pleased. Unfortunately I paid with a credit card and that is where things went south. If you pay with cash, then no worries. The computer register was slow when she put my payment in and she had someone waiting, so she told me she would canceled the charge and would rerun it. I asked several times, Are you sure I will not be charged twice. You guessed it, I was charged the $12 fee twice. When I called the next day, to explain that I had been charged twice, the lady that answered the phone told me to bring in my credit card statement so she could see the double charge and she would remove it then. Now, I live about 30 min away, and I thought "Can't this be done on the phone, but she wanted no part of that. This is the first time I have ever experienced this a credit card charge, so I just called the credit card company, and they basically put a dispute on it and removed it. So, yes I was pleased with the look of my eyebrows, but just pay in cash and you will have no worries. I really think the lady just did not want to have to mess with the computer. Also if you leave a tip, it must be in cash, as the store will not put a tip on the card.

They were not trimmed nearly short enough. Next, the "massage". It lasted about a minute. And, she pressed too hard to the point of where it hurt. Lastly, I get home and I notice the nails on my left foot are longer than the right. And, the polish was not the color I chose. I should have paid more attention before I left but I just wanted to get out of there. I will be going to another salon to fix what she did.

There was a noticeable language barrier, but they went out of their way to bridge it, even using their phones to translate. I thought that was thoughtful and made the experience feel very welcoming. I was serviced by Lili and was in the chair for about two hours for acrylic tips with gel. She took her time and paid close attention to detail in every step. Even though I chose a single color with no art, she was extremely careful not to get polish on my skin and made sure every nail was smooth, clean, and bubble-free. During shaping, she was gentle and precise. I told her I didn't want that typical "hump" many salons build into acrylics. I prefer a more natural look and she absolutely nailed it. These are the most natural-looking acrylics I've ever had, and I've visited a lot of salons. My only concern was sanitation. Lili did nick me a couple of times while filing, and I didn't notice any tools being sanitized or individually wrapped the way they usually are in NY salons. The nail file also didn't appear to be disposable, although it looked fairly new. It didn't affect my overall experience, but it did make me a bit nervous simply because I'm used to stricter hygiene practices. (Update: its been a few days and the cuts have not gotten worse. She treated them when she noticed them, so thats probably why) That said, I watched several other customers come in during my visit, and everyone seemed genuinely happy and well cared for.
