So I have recently started my adventure on the "lash train" and I'm blogging about my experiences at various Lash Extension locations around the New Jersey/New York area first stop Amazing Lash Studio in Wyckoff, NJ. I have heard AMAZING reviews about this location (no pun intended) so I was excited to say so myself. When I walked in the place was nice I was greeted by a receptionist with beautiful red hair she was so nice and had a huge smile on her face as I walked in she made me feel so welcomed I even remembered her name (Bridgette) she was accompanied by another receptionist with blonde hair that was so consumed by her cell phone she did not even make eye contact let alone say hello. Bridgette assisted me with a check in sheet which was pretty lengthy (including a waiver and store policies) also she went over the styles I could choose from and even went on to inform me of VOLUME Lashes (which I was not made aware of when I booked this appointment) then she directed me down the hallway to wash my lashes (I used their sink in the hallway as both restrooms were occupied) as I walked back to the designated area and all along the hallway floor on each side was dust, long pieces of hair it wasn't as clean as I had hoped. After washing I went back up front to wait for my stylist whose name was Valerie. One of the policies that stood out to me was a late policy, now I arrived prior to my appointment about 10-15 min as directed to when I called to book. The policy states that your service could be rescheduled for a later DAY or time if you arrive 10 minutes late to your SCHEDULED appointment time. While I waited for my lash technician I decided to use the restroom now hoping they would be free and they were as I am using the restroom I notice there is no toilet paper which is one of my biggest pet peeves as a guest to an establishment - I was forced to use a hard stiff paper towel also as I was washing my hands there was about 8 lash extensions in the sink also not too appealing to a new guest if there are just extensions in the sink which im assuming are from a guest who washed prior to their service. I got picked up by my stylist Valerie 10 minutes after my appointment time was scheduled to begin. This made me question these policies as it seemed to be strongly enforced to be on time for the guest but not for the technician? So just to be clear.. me as a paying client gets penalized for being late but I can have my service start late at my expense by the technician who works for a business who enforces a strict late policy? Now keep in mind I have no extensions on currently and I was explained that the service could take nearly 90 minutes to 2 hours to complete. I am young in my early 20's and I have a lot of hair (and lashes). I know this can vary with each person and with someone's age as I have learned when speaking with multiple hair stylists and make-up artists that I have blogged for as well. When I was brought into her room I noticed an ant trap on the floor (not appealing or comforting to know I am getting serviced in a room with a possible ant problem) She began to ask me what style I chose, I asked her to explain them to me again and she had the nerve to tell that WE are getting a late start (when she picked me up 10 minutes late) and the most popular style is the "Gorgeous" style its the universal look for all eye shapes. So the "Gorgeous" style is what I got. While getting the service done they begin by using some sort of cooling pad under the eyes and tape she started and finished one eye then went to the next, as she was doing the second eye I told her my other eye started to burn a little and her response was "that's probably the fumes from the glue, here's a fan" and handed me a fan and just continued which made me feel like I was being rushed. Before I knew it the service was done (only 1 hour later). This kind of confused me as I was informed that it would take 90 minutes to 2 hours to complete. When I looked in the mirror lets just say I was not thrilled. The lashes were super separated and the inner corners were not really straight. Let's just say the previous reviews on the outcome of the lashes, service, and treatment they received was NOT what I received. I did tell this to the technician and she said "oh, I applied them to every natural lash you have" which right there I knew she was not being honest. I kindly said okay and she walked me to the front and handed me off to Bridgette who asked me so kindly how I liked everything, if I wanted to pre-book, and presented me with a membership. I kindly declined and paid for my service plus gratuity. About 3 days later all my lashes on my left eye were off I called and asked to speak to a manager they didn't ask what for all they said was she was not in but to leave my name and number and she would call back within 48 hours, let's just say I'm still waiting. The manager must be too busy for customer service. read more

I've been getting my lashes done here since August and I absolutely LOVE Paris! If you want amazing lashes that always look perfect and last forever you have to book your appointment with her! I had never gotten lashes before the first time I came here and she sat with me and talked with me about all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. I've had issues with other people in the past and now I will only let Paris touch my eyelashes. I get compliments everywhere I go and people tell me how natural they look. Even better - I haven't had to wear/apply mascara in almost 6 months!! I wake up ready to go. Paris gets to know you too. Instead of it being silent and boring for an hour she talks to you about your life and her life and keeps things fun and interesting. She seems genuinely interested in what you have to say and even remembers details weeks later. My appointments with her always go smoothly and I'm never disappointed with my results. Also, the front desk staff is always polite and friendly. After 4 months of paying full price they finally convinced me to join for a membership and I haven't looked back. I'm actually saving over $50 a month by doing that! They are always professional and seem to really care about their jobs. If you're scared or worried about trying out lashes for the first time don't be, you have nothing to lose and beautiful lashes to gain ! read more

Today was my first time at Amazing Lash Studio. I had previously had eyelash extensions from a different salon but had to have them removed because they were too heavy and damaging my natural lashes! Not good! First off, Amazing Lash studio is gorgeous! Not to mention very clean and sleek. I was greeted by Felicia who checked me in and went over the paperwork I would need to fill out. She also explained the different styles of lashes available and let me know that my stylist would customize my lashes for my eyes. My lash stylist was Chelsea. We discussed the different styles (I ended up going with "cute" to open up my eyes). I also chose purple tips to bring out the green in my eyes. I laid down and Chelsea made sure I was comfortable and got to work. Before I knew it I was waking up! I was actually so relaxed I fell asleep with someone that close to my eyes! She was awesome. After I was done, Chelsea walked me up, recommended a brush to keep my eyelashes from getting tangled and sent me home with an aftercare pamphlet. I booked my next visit for 2 weeks and I can't wait to go back. I love my lashes! read more

Bottom Line: Valerie is amazing. My eyelashes are amazing. I feel amazing. When you look good, you feel good and when you feel good, you do good! 100% recommend!! My Story: I first went to this studio in December and purchased a full set, size 11, gorgeous style. It turned out amazing. I woke up every morning feeling beautiful. I seriously felt like I could walk out of my house, wearing no makeup, and I was still gorgeous. BUT then I was afraid to commit to the monthly membership. I was trying to save money and didn't want a commitment. So I let my lashes fall off, and I tried a different "cheaper" "no-commitment" eyelash studio in Englewood. Bad Decision. horrible Decision. 100% Fail. They fell off. Nowhere as close to "fullness" of Amazing Lash, or as beautiful, or as gorgeous - in any way. So yesterday, I went back to Valerie. Apologized for trying out a different studio, and bought another full set. Gorgeous. Size 11. And I joined as a member. I committed. I feel beautiful. This place is amazing. And I love love love love my eyelashes. read more

I've been getting my lashes done by Chelsea for several months now and I don't have enough good things to say about the lashes themselves, and about my experiences at the store and with Chelsea. I never write Yelp reviews, but I felt I just had to rave. The lashes themselves look amazing- I can't imagine not having them now. I used to do full eye makeup and wear strip lashes everyday, but with these lashes I haven't worn eyeshadow or eyeliner in months because they look so good on their own, and it has cut my makeup routine in half. Chelsea is such a sweet and personable girl, and always does my lashes to perfection. The conversations we have make the time go by in a flash. I get compliments on my lashes all the time and cannot recommend Amazing Lash or Chelsea enough. The girls at the front desk are also amazing and make my appointments and payment go smoothly and quickly. If you're considering getting lashes done, I highly recommend just going for it, and requesting Chelsea. read more

First time getting my lashes done and I loved my experience! The staff was super friendly and welcoming with big smiles. My stylist, Samantha, worked hard on getting my lashes just right and it shows--they look amazing! She made sure my own lashes would support the extensions I wanted, proving she had my health and best look in mind. She made sure I was always comfortable and kept me informed about the application process and proper care of my lashes. The store was clean and Olivia, who checked me in and out at the front desk, was organized and attentive! Everyone seemed very knowledgable and helpful when it came to deciding on which set of lashes I wanted. I went with "gorgeous," the longest and fullest (and most dramatic) set and I couldn't be happier. If you're looking for the best lash studio in northern New Jersey, we've found it! First time I got my lashes done by Valerie and I really liked it. I came in for a refill today and absolutely hate my look- way too natural. The different lash stylist was nice and I thought that she would be good but I guess I am really disappointed. smh...now I am not sure about my membership anymore. Today I received lash extensions for the first time and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I was first impressed by the salon itself as it was so clean and organized. Felicia and Sara were so helpful in getting me set up for appointment and filling out the paperwork. Samantha did an amazing job with my extensions and helped guide me toward the style that suits me best. The lashes feel and look so natural and the application process was so relaxing. Samantha explained all of the products to me and I ultimately bought the mascara and eyeliner. I am so impressed and can't wait to continue getting my lashes done! read more

I've been coming to this Wyckoff location for almost a year now and I have to say it's always a pleasant experience!!! Everyone is so friendly and professional! I have to give the biggest praise to my stylist Chelsea! She is professional, friendly and so precise with my lash application!! Meticulous!!! Not only is she is extremely knowledgeable but she really listens to what I want and then provides her recommendations based on her expertise as well as the condition of my lashes. I am a client at Amazing Lash Studio in Wyckoff. I have been going there since April. Upon entering you will be greeted by some really sweet young ladies that are very helpful. Next you will be brought into a room to have lashes done. I have used a few different technicians but I must say the best by far is Chelsea. She's very gentle, caring and takes her time. This was my first experience getting lash extensions. I wasn't sure what to expect and I honestly get a little weird about other people so close to my eyes. But it was actually a pleasant experience! I saw Kat and she was gentle and sweet. She explained the process and helped me choose my lashes. I went with sexy. Once you get past the under eye patch thing its actually a pretty relaxing process! I just got my lashes refilled by Catie, and she did the BEST job I've ever experienced. She was very careful, precise, and made sure multiple times that I was happy with the way I looked before leaving the salon. She made my feel so comfortable during my time in the studio and informed me of plenty of ways to maintain my lashes, which she made seem so easy and manageable. I love this place. I've had a membership for over a year now so I've had almost every stylist. My all time favorite is Lisa. Shes thorough every time and you can tell she loves what she does bc it shows in her work. I feel like she does my lashes every time like they were her own. I had my first lash experience ever with Nicolina and she exceeded my expectations to say the least! I was almost 8 months pregnant and some of you may know laying on your back for two hours isn't Usually comfortable at that point but nicolina did everything in her power to make me comfortable for my service. I just recently moved to the area. I have gotten my lashes done for years so I was looking for somewhere amazing. Danielle was extremely friendly and she did a fantastic job. The salon is also spotless and absolutely beautiful. All of the staff at the front is extremely friendly. I have now found the place that I will go to on a regular basis. I loveeee this place!! It's the best, I have been doing my lashes for years now and I went to other lash studios but this one is impressively amazing. I love how professional the staff is and how they treat you with courtesy and appreciate you as a valuable client whenever you walk in.
