Maya and the team did an amazing job on my custom piñata orders. My twins had very specific requests for their birthday piñatas. One twin wanted a Godzilla and my other twin wanted the 2015 viral dress illusion, hahaha. I went to the shop in-person a month before the birthday party. I showed Maya some pictures and discussed potential sizes for the piñatas, then we discussed all the other details including costs, colors, and pick-up date over email. The emails from Maya were professional, clear, and courteous. The piñatas were ready a week before the party as promised. They looked so beautiful; they were a work of art; exceptional craftmanship. We received so many compliments from all our guests and most importantly our kids loved them. Oh, one last thing, they were so well made that each kid was able to hit the piñatas twice before they broke.

Update to add: after a great experience with our last minute order, I ordered a custom piñata of a Pokemon character that isn't so popular, Litten. Amazing Piñatas did another great job. Piñata was exactly what I hoped for and super strong. (I was legit worried it was not going to hold up when my son stuffed it completely full with candy. But the construction held up for several rounds of elementary age kids take turns at hitting it). I am also just enamored of the owners and workers here. They are so friendly and accommodating. Everything that is great about small neighborhood businesses is exemplified here.

I never knew that buying a piñata could be so emotionally charged. Angela helped me find a piñata; I mentioned it's for my mom's birthday. My mom's favorite color is green, because its symbolic of new life in a garden, so I purchased the avocado piñata and the blindfold/rope/stick package in green. Angela put together a little something extra, to gift my mom; I cried. This was such a beautiful and sweet gesture that was beyond greatly appreciated. My siblings & I are trying to bring a little extra joy to my mom's birthday, because as I revealed to Angela why I was emotional, its been a hard year for my mom, dealing with my dad's passing & finding out earlier this week that my sister has MS. Thank you, Angela, for such a beautiful blessing; I pray that it be returned to your business & family, 100 fold.

I was looking for a Coco theme piñata and they had plenty of options to choose from. The owner was very sweet and helpful and also mentioned that she does custom made piñatas. I totally recommend going to them for any future parties or celebrations.

This is the piñata store you want to go to! Don't waste your time going elsewhere. Great selection. Friendly and helpful. I wanted to buy all of the piñatas. Definitely going back for the next party!

We came in the middle of May looking for a Bat piñata. Though they have a huge selection, they didn't have a bat. This is perfectly reasonable given the time of year. I have no idea why my June baby needs a Bat and Rose Gold birthday party but here we are. We did find a cool black wedding cake looking piñata and went for it. I cut out bats and put them all over at home. The staff was helpful and kind to this gringa and the prices are great. The food out front smelled SO delicious, too.

Large fire truck piñata $15: I had to make it fit in my SUV :p

This place lives up to its name and their piñatas are VERY amazing :p I was in Yorba Linda today and was not sure if I wanted to make the drive to DTLA. I called a place in Santa Ana that makes custom piñatas but they did not have one available and would have to order one. They required a deposit and the cost was $25 for a really large one. I was also looking on Amazon and they were $13 including free shipping but I figured they were the smaller ones and would not be sure what I would be getting. In the past, I've purchased medium/small sized piñatas at Party City/Target for $13-$15. There are inexpensive but the selection isn't that great, mostly generic ones. I needed a fire truck piñata which I discovered is a really rare one. A lot of these piñata shops do not answer their phone but Amazing piñatas did and said that they had a few. When I arrive, they had two left and the piñata was ADORABLE. They told me up front on the phone that it was $15. They had so many other cute ones, I even thought about buying a few for future parties but they are pretty big and would not all fit in my car. They had a lot of unique and custom piñatas. One was a GIANT big rig ($150) and I saw a lady walk out with a BEAUTIFUL turtle piñata ($18). It was the last one left she told me. They charge tax here except for the candies but they have the BEST prices and designs. The party supplies they carry are very overpriced although I got a red rectangle tablecloth for $1.50, a piñata stick for $2 and the fire truck piñata for $15. There are a couple spots for 1 hour street parking in the front but pay caution because this is a high ticketing area :o

I grew up in Koreatown all throughout the 90s and very glad this place is still around. Also glad…read morethey've been taking a jab at social media. It deserves to be known. It's actually interesting to see a diverse crowd hang out here compared to back then when it was nothing but Korean people. The first floor retains most of the stores that existed back then too; Music Plaza which always had an insane selection of Korean music, the quaint coffee shop near the food court, the stationary store and bookstore near the elevator and of course the Food Court itself. Has the best prices of all sorts of Korean cuisine out there; I always gravitate towards the Dddukgook (Rice Cake Soup). The H-Mart used to be the mall's own market (called Plaza Market). I was a small kid back then, but it's quite congested as a grown adult over 6 foot tall. The layout is exactly the same from back then and I love it. There used to be a very tiny bakery next to the H-Mart on the left, but they have a much larger bakery on the right. The decor is still that same 80s-esque pink and teal tile, which I hope they never change. The second floor used to have this toy store that used to sell all sorts of Power Rangers and Pokemon toys. I miss it dearly, albeit I believe it was very overpriced back then lol. I believe it's the mail store now. The third floor used to have this appliance/electronics store called "ABC Plaza". It had literally everything from USA albums, Korean appliances, and a whole section for Japanese import games. As a kid it felt like paradise. I believe it's now turning into a gym, which is cool in itself. My wife bought me some Pokemon cards from that toy store near the food court, and it reactivated all my memories. Please stay around, K-Town Plaza!

I didn't really get to explore throughout the whole mall but it gave me being in Korea vibes lol…read more. came here for H-mart and was surprised to see it was in a small plaza mall. Then as we entered I noticed it was mainly all Korean stores that we passed by. The place does look old and a little ran down. And the elevators wasn't working when we was there. We had to use the escalators since we parked upstairs but didn't even kno that lol. We passed by a Korean skincare stand that looked really popular or maybe they had an event cus it was a line of girls. We went to another store that sold needohs and squeeezy squishes but they was way too fuckin overpriced and tbh I couldn't tell if they was the legit real ones or not so passed on that. Then the food court was probably the best part of the mall that we explored besides H-mart. I went to use the restroom there and it didn't look too clean. The food court had so many different little eateries I wanted to try them out but we was already going to a noodle place after. I should've just tried it out anyway cus the noodle place we went to was mid af lol. Maybe next time we come back I will!

This very popular three-level indoor mall has a great food court and ground level supermarket…read more These two places also have the fairest prices. While it was great to see only two empty storefronts, most businesses sell overpriced to super overpriced products to stay afloat. The mall is dated-looking, with a defunct water fountain, but the open second floor bathed in natural sunlight gives off soothing, chill vibes. The food court has about 9 places, mostly Korean but also a Vietnamese and Japanese katsu options. We ate fresh bi bim naeng myun (very chewy buckwheat noodles), ja jang myun (chewy noodles with black bean sauce and a nice amount of minced beef or pork), and fish cake on a skewer. Some places charge for a to go container and the cranky employee at the naeng myun place (the name's only in Korean, Kang San Myun Ok, refused to sell me to go in separate containers. Excuse me for wanting to separate the chewy noodles from the broth, as the noodles will lose elasticity from a long drive. The food court had many televisions broadcasting a World Cup match. There eating area is spacious with tables are cleared and wiped quickly. The outdoor dining are was closed the day we went. The supermarket is huge, organized and has the viral fruit-shaped ice cream that I adore, for $4.99 each. There's a Cake House bakery with mildly sweet Asian pastries and hot beverages. Their cakes are very expensive and beautiful. Cake slices are also sold. The mall has women's clothes, skin care, a bank, bookstore, children's toys, handbags and jewelry, and knick-knacks or collectibles. There's even a flower shop on a parking level right by the supermarket entrance. We were surprised to spend about 4 hours there. It's easy to spend a lot of time here as the parking is free! I will be back for the food and accessories in support of Korean-owned businesses.

We didn't know the family or child well, only that he was turning four and has an older brother. I purposely wanted to shop local and support an independent business, and a quick search on Yelp led me here. We arrived about an hour before closing on Saturday, which was great because parking meters end at 4pm and we found parking out front easily. We were greeted by an employee behind the desk as we walked in. She asked if there was anything she could help us find, and I let her know we were first time customers looking for a birthday gift with the details mentioned above. She let us know the layout of the store, her suggestions, but let us look freely. Over time more customers arrived with small children, and received the same courteous service. The store is clean and curated. I appreciated seeing well made toys and items inspiring imaginative play, rather than cheap plastic with distracting lights or sounds. I eventually chose a doctor play set as well as some items for my own children, such as animal figures and stamp markers. They offer free gift wrapping, which is a nice touch. The one alarming fact that stood out is that there were many empty storefronts on their block, so it's more important than ever to support our local economy. Their prices reflect investment in well made items, so I would not come here expecting big box store deals. In a world full of Target and Amazon, I would rather spend my money supporting a local, independent business. We had a great experience here and will definitely be back with our kids this holiday season.
