When I walked in I wanted all the piñatas, they were so cute and the quality and attention to detail was chef kiss*. They are pricier than what you would find in los callejones, but majority of what you find now in los callejones are star piñatas with a print out of charachter. Not so much charachter shaped piñatas. I would definitely be getting all piñatas from here going forward. I think the price justifies the quality. Just be aware these aren't $25. read more

I never knew that buying a piñata could be so emotionally charged. Angela helped me find a piñata; I mentioned it's for my mom's birthday. We came in the middle of May looking for a Bat piñata. Though they have a huge selection, they didn't have a bat. This is perfectly reasonable given the time of year. This place lives up to its name and their piñatas are VERY amazing :p I was in Yorba Linda today and was not sure if I wanted to make the drive to DTLA. I called a place in Santa Ana that makes custom piñatas but they did not have one available and would have to order one. They required a deposit and the cost was $25 for a really large one. I was also looking on Amazon and they were $13 including free shipping but I figured they were the smaller ones and would not be sure what I would be getting. In the past, I've purchased medium/small sized piñatas at Party City/Target for $13-$15. There are inexpensive but the selection isn't that great, mostly generic ones. I needed a fire truck piñata which I discovered is a really rare one. A lot of these piñata shops do not answer their phone but Amazing piñatas did and said that they had a few. When I arrive, they had two left and the piñata was ADORABLE. They told me up front on the phone that it was $15. They had so many other cute ones, I even thought about buying a few for future parties but they are pretty big and would not all fit in my car. They had a lot of unique and custom piñatas. One was a GIANT big rig ($150) and I saw a lady walk out with a BEAUTIFUL turtle piñata ($18). It was the last one left she told me. They charge tax here except for the candies but they have the BEST prices and designs. The party supplies they carry are very overpriced although I got a red rectangle tablecloth for $1.50, a piñata stick for $2 and the fire truck piñata for $15. There are a couple spots for 1 hour street parking in the front but pay caution because this is a high ticketing area :o read more

From your mazapanes to your duvalin, some of the favorites. I also liked that they had toys to add to candy bags. It's close to work and they have parking next door. That's what got me. Amazing Pinatas is awesome! They are so helpful and knowledgeable about pinatas and filling them and playing with them! The prices are so much less expensive than a Party City too. And you can choose any shape you want! They need about 5 days to make a custom shape (you can do anything from characters to beer cans!) or you can go in and pickup some awesome ready-made ones. A 3' tall #1 pinata was only $15 and a larger 4' mermaid pinata is only about $35-40 I believe. And they are always a hit with adults and kids! Note: parking can be hard, there are 3 spaces in front and some street parking. read more

I was told to expect 3 weeks for it to be ready but it was done in almost 2 weeks (it was a very simple design but considering this was around graduation season I understand the over-estimation), and I appreciated the phone call to let me know that it was ready. It was a hit at my birthday party and I got so many compliments! I would certainly come back and recommend friends to come here for their custom piñatas or even the pre-made ones. The shop is located on a very busy street and parking is limited, but the both times I came in the afternoon I was able to find street parking on the opposite side. I went to every store in the Pinata district and this store had the best selection- by far. The pinatas are ALLLL beautiful and are really well made. It's a big store but I also thought that some of their things were a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. I was buying about 20 piñatas for a party and I wanted to see if they could hold it in the front for me while I shopped and the person in the cashier seemed bothered when I asked if she could hold the stuff I was going to buy to get more piñatas. We had a great experience here this past weekend. My son wants a Lego Piñata for his 4th birthday and they had about 4 different types that fit his birthday theme- one of them was really expensive but we found a really nice one that he loves for only $20! Great deal! I wanted to get some candy to fill it but the candy for some reason is very expensive- $15 for a small bag. So we just got the Piñata and are very happy with our purchase. Great customer service! I read the reviews and decided to come here to look for a piñata for a birthday party. My bf went next door to check out the competition and then in here while I parked. When I was finally able to get in there, an older gentleman came right up to me and kindly asked what I was looking for. He showed me all of the piñatas he had already showed my bf and told me the prices each time I asked. He was patient and not pushy. Amazing? Hardly. Professional? Not at all. I sent an email one week before I needed to pick up. They were delayed two days in their reply. After a phone conversation Lorena said she would call me back for payment details.....never received the phone call. I send another email to follow-up, keep in mind my phone number is on the signature block of my emails and I know Lorena answered on her cell phone so she has my number through different means, she provided a lame reply that she couldn't call me back because she didn't have my phone number. TERRIBLE service, rude owner. They made a custom pinata and di EXACTLY what I asked them NOT to do ( make it look like a halloween decoration- they made it all halloween colors- I had asked for bright like purple, blue ) The young man ( he is sweet) acknowledged that perhaps he had not told the people making it that part....and I told him we had talked about it. When I asked if they could simply add some color to it I was told the pinata maker was leaving. at 11 am. ???
