An excellent find on one of the worst roads in America. Route 22. An overdeveloped mess of a road with white knuckle driving conditions. How we spotted this place amidst the clutter is lost to memory. Now that we've found it, we'll be back. Order up front. Five or so tables for dine in. Take out seems to be a better option. We sat next to a stereo speaker which made my head vibrate. Two nearby obnoxious patrons were watching content on their cell phones with the volume turned all the way up. Lovely. Ordered a couple of weeks ago for the first time and the food was so good. This area does not have really any soul food restaurants. You have to give them a try. Chicken looks & tastes like it was prepared to be baked but never went in the oven. Brought it to his attention that the chicken wasn't "done". If you don't understand why it's called soul food, you need to eat here. Everything was seasoned perfectly, made with a lot of love and delicious. I definitely have left overs because the portions are heaping but they won't be around for long because I have a feeling they will become a late night snack. When you get to the restaurant it looks like any other typical restaurant, but they have music popping and the food is AMAZING. Ordered 1 Jerk Chicken platter and 3 Barbeque Chicken Platter. All platters comes with 2 sides and cornbread. The chickens in both platters are so juicy, succulent, tender, and melts in your mouth.
