As for the food itself, it was very bland and lacked flavor. The rice also appeared to be overcooked or over-fried, which negatively affected the texture. That 3 - we'll just call it a powerful 3. The food was really good, full of flavor, and spice. I would definitely order this dish again. My only gripe was with the canned drinks. The Diet Coke tasted old. The Diet Coke can livery is currently FIFA, before that Santa...so the current cans with names have been sitting for a while. Stopped by Amazing Thai & Sushi on a quiet Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. It's a small, no-frills mom and pop place with a calm atmosphere, which was just what I was looking for. Not long after I arrived, more people started trickling in, and the man working there even thanked me for "bringing him luck," which was a nice personal touch. I ordered the spicy miso soup with salmon chunks and a Galveston roll. The soup had good flavor with a nice heat, and the salmon was fresh and tender. The roll was solid too! It was fresh, flavorful, and well-made. For the price, it's hard to beat. You can tell they put care into what they're serving. I have driven by this restaurant a couple of times so I've known about it for a few months now and finally came when I was craving Thai food one evening just before closing. Luckily, they still sat me and let me do dinner. Their menu is sort of large since they have both sushi and thai. I stuck with thai during my visit and tried the papaya salad, glass noodles with tofu and pad ka pow with beef. I also added a Thai tea. Papaya salad - this is really good and has lots of peanuts which I don't remember seeing the last handful of times I've eaten papaya salad but it adds another dimension of flavor. Pad ka pow - this is fairly standard and served on a fish platter with your standard beef. This seemed to contain a lot more veggies than your typical pad ka pow with zucchini added here. Glass noodles - this was another nice example of this dish, I also liked it. The water didn't taste all that great but the service is friendly. The Thai tea was a little thick for my liking as well, so I had to dilute it a little. Atmosphere was their least greatest quality, but when the food is good and the price is right, you can easily overlook that. read more

Found this humble, friendly and clean family-run restaurant via a Google search - located in a strip center along TC Jester and behind the FM 1960 Walmart. The outstanding reviews were very encouraging as we visited for dinner just now. The place was practically empty, which is unfortunate (could do with better community support). Must say the place lives up to its name - Amazing! Friendly and quick service, compact and clean dining area, generous portions of excellent Sushi/Sashimi and Thai food. The owner is very solicitous and offers additional helpings of rice, etc., gratis. Ordered hand-crafted assorted Sushi plate as appetizer, followed by Chicken Pad Thai, Tofu Panang Curry, and Tofu Green Curry as mains; rounded off the excellent meal with generous portions of yummy Mango Sticky Rice! The entire meal set us back $80, including tax and tip. This place is well worth a visit. A hardworking family enterprise that can do with generous community support. I usually forget to take photos before digging in because the food is always so fresh and appealing upon pickup. The service at this location is top tier. It appears to be family owned with one member of the family quickly acknowledging any guest arrival. The ambiance is quaint and rhetorical decor is reflective of a typical Asian inspired restaurant. Tonight was our first time eating at this restaurant. The online reviews we good, so when my meal was $50 for three sushi rolls and an appetizer, I was not completely upset. However, the delivery took over an hour. We ordered the tiger rolls which were very fishy. My daughter could not even eat it. The crab rangoons were not good either. As much as I hate leaving bad reviews, I don't want someone else's family to not enjoy dinner. The owners were nice, but, nice did not save our dinner. Maybe it will be better another day. I went during lunch time and ordered the red curry and chicken fried rice for my son. They give you a soup and a spring roll with your order. Came here for dinner with my husband, and we had a good dinner. Amazing Thai and Sushi is a little hidden but well worth a visit. The staff was friendly and let us pick our seats. It took a little while for our server to come back around, but it gave us time to look at the menu and decide our order. My husband got the crab ragoons and pad thai, and I ordered their green curry. The green curry I ordered was supposed to come at the spiciest they had but compared to other thai restaurants I would say it was maybe a level 2 or 3 spice. I really enjoy spicy food so this was disappointing. My husband really enjoyed his crab ragoons and pad thai. He said the crab ragoons were had a good amount of filling and that the pad thai didn't have a lot grease which was a big plus. We got the mango sticky rice for dessert and it was bu far my favorite part of the meal. Warm, sweet and the mango and coconut flavors mix so well together. The inside is nice and clean - small family owned. It's only staffed by the owners so be patient - they are super nice but cover cooking, making sushi, waiting tables, takeout orders and hosting. Food was very good. I got Pad Kee Mao and it was super tasty. I felt like mine was pretty spicy at a 2 but the boy got Pad Woon Sen at a 3 and felt his was mild. Wife got yakisoba and we switched halfway through. The lady told us that they do way more take out than dine in and moved to the area a couple years ago from Friendswood ,where she said they had more dine in.
