I placed an online order at 4:15pm for a pickup at 5pm. I arrived at 4:55pm and it was ready to go. The staff was very friendly. The food portions were generous, but the food was completely bland and dry. The items we ordered: 1. Shrimp fried rice. The shrimp was a nice size and not overcooked. The rice itself was dry and tasteless. 2. Crying Tiger (Beef with sticky rice). It clocked in at "not bad". While dry, it at least had flavor. 3. Pad Thai with chicken . Bland and underwhelming. 4. Pok Pok Chicken appetizer. The dryest bland fried chicken we've ever had. We decided that it was best to throw it away rather than feed it to our dogs. It tasted like the chicken had been under a heat lamp for hours. 5. Crispy Chicken Rolls Appetizer. The only enjoyable part of the meal. We were excited to try a new place but were disappointed. All of the food wasn't awful but it wasn't exactly good either. The experience could have been worse as it could have been overpriced. The serving sizes were generous for the amount they charged. Unfortunately a lot of mediocre to bad food is still not why we order food from restaurants. Hopefully this is just an aberration because of the time of day we ordered the food or perhaps their take out is not as good as their dining in experience. Place is good for small groups, they have a take out service and possibly catering too. In a small shopping center parking is most of the time available, in a very well lit area. This restaurant is located in a strip mall, next to a Mexican restaurant. If you get there in the evening, the sun blocking film on the windows and doors can make it hard to see inside. The staff is wonderful here. They greet each person as soon as they walk in, and I was seated right away. While I was waiting for my food to come, I observed them thanking each customer as they left. I appreciate that they have a very gluten free friendly menu. Many dishes are or can be made gluten free. I really enjoyed the papaya salad and the melon tea. The papaya salad was pretty authentic and one of the best I've had in a while. My fried rice was lacking in flavor a little, probably because of the gluten free modifications, but I was thankful for the option. I would definitely come back here! read more

The papaya salad, pad see ew with chicken, and pad thai with pork belly or tofu is usually what I order and are always solid, even for to go. Updating the review based on the several to go orders as well as a recent dine in experience. Papaya Salad ($9) - 4.5/5 Papaya Salad is a mixed review between 3.75 and 4.75 over about 10 orders. Sometimes the flavors are soaked well into the papaya while other times there's barely any flavor. Would still get both dine in and to go. Pad see ew with chicken ($12) - 4.75/5 Aloy Aloy does a great version of this. Have only ordered this to go and it travels well on the way back home. Pad thai with pork belly/tofu ($12) For to go, the rating is 4.75/5 since the pork belly loses crispiness. For dine in, it was a 5/5 with the pork belly being fresh and crispy. Great mixture of flavor and pretty good heat (ordered a 3*). Tofu version is also excellent. Fried Whole Tilapia with Tamarind Sauce ($14.50) - 5/5 The fish checked all the boxes I look for in a deep fried fish with sauce dish: Crispy skin on the side facing up, sauce with lots of sweet, salty, and sour flavors, hot soft inside that's not rubbery/overcooked. Very happy about this but would only order this for dine in. Service was excellent as always. Inside is beautiful, clean, and everything you hope a family owned restaurant would be. The young man who was our server was beyond polite and friendly. Nice little place in a strip center. I was passing through the area and found them. Ordered to go Thai tea and Massaman curry with chicken. While it's a Thai curry dish, it's one that uses a lot of warm spices, making its flavor more like of Indian curries. They will put potato, onions, and carrots to complete the ensemble. It was on point. It was served with white rice that wasn't Jasmine rice, hence the star drop. All in all, it was good and I will be back. Hopefully, they will be service Jasmine. read more

Stopped in for lunch today and it's my second time and this restaurant cured my cravings for Thai food. I ordered the lunch spicy Pad Sa Ew beef noodles and it was delicious! The only downside was I wanted more lol it also came with a side of Tom yum soup that had mini white mushrooms and a few chicken pieces, the flavors from the lemon grass mixed with the sour and spicy was a perfect starter before the entree. Stopped at this place with my son for lunch. It was pretty good. The chicken was a bit dry but the flavors of everything were really good. They had a pretty good lunch special too. I really enjoyed the soup I got. They were pretty busy too so you know that's a good sign. The only thing was my son didn't order what he was brought so that was a little disappointing but he didn't want to complain and just ate it. Food came out fast. Thai tea was delicious. We found our favorite Thai place in Spring! I've loved Thai food since I lived in D.C. Houston's inner loop has some delicious Thai restaurants. It's hard to find good Thai food in the burbs. However, if you live in Spring, please know I've tried almost all of them. Lol. This week, I tried Aloy Aloy as an Uber Eats delivery. I ordered pan friend chicken dumplings and chicken pad see ew. Lunch specials are offered until 3, and while yes technically it was before 3, there is always the chance that you get told you can't order the special. Not here, kudos to them for still allowing me to order a lunch special. I wasn't given the opportunity to order it spicy, a shame because this dish is really lacking for me. Needs a lot of spice and then there is something more that I can't put my finger on, a taste that borders on ... This is going to sound horrible, but it is similar to the smell that accompanies ... Here it goes... Puke. It's obviously not that, and I hate even saying it, but there it is. I would attempt to cover it with some spice, but nobody has come by since my food was dropped off, so I am doing my best to be polite. Oh no, all bets are off now. Someone just came by and informed me they close in 10 minutes. That's a shame because now I am not feeling obligated to eat what's in front of me or be gracious with the review. Our waitress was amazing! She was from south Thailand and was very friendly and attentive. Not being Thai food regulars we asked for her suggestions for everything and went with them. We got a taro milk tea with popping strawberries, she split it for us so we could each try it, my husband loved it and said it tasted kinda like the milk left in the bowl after eating your captain crunch berries for an appetizer we got the fried chicken rolls, very good. My husband ordered the basil chicken lunch special, she suggested ground chicken as she said it makes it more juicy and flavorful. My husband really liked it. I ordered the spicy fried rice with beef. Not very adventurous of me but hey I loved it and that's the main thing Overall I highly recommend this place. I had high expectations... but ended up very disappointed. This place did not accommodate my customization requests. I am currently pregnant and have some dietary restrictions & health concerns. I noted several times when placing my order that I wanted certain ingredients omitted (specifically asked for no bean sprouts, no sesame seeds, and no cilantro)... Unfortunately, my instructions were completely ignored. Restaurants should be more attentive to situations or at least explain limitations to the customer. I would have ordered something else on the menu or chose a different establishment altogether. Instead, most of my meal ended up uneaten, wasted, and in the trash. Just had another excellent meal at Aloy Aloy Thai Cafe, the second time we've been there, both times in the last month. Have lived here for 21 years now, so I don't know how we missed this gem before now. Maybe because it's not in The Woodlands proper? Love Thai food and try it often and although we for sure wouldn't be mistaken for Thai food experts, we can say this stuff is just great. This visit had the steamed dumplings, Massaman shrimp curry, and shrimp pad thai. Extensive menu of typical Thai, street foods, and Asian dishes. Seems to be a local favorite, most tables had diners both visits and although it's smallish (7 tables and 4 booths) it's not crowded. Attractive décor and ambiance. Make sure you get here early because this place is definitely a local favorite! After moving into the area and wanting to stop by this spot, we finally did and it did not disappoint! Walking in, it was full but we did nit mind waiting, it was Friday night so it's expected in a small place but the staff was very kind informing us about the wait and greeting us as we awaited. We finally sat down and ordered our teas, lettuce wraps and dumplings as we browsed the rest of the menu. The staff came up to us a couple of times, they just wanted to make sure that we were being served and finally we decided to go with tom yum chicken to share, Crispy pork belly for me and my partner in crime went for the chicken peanut sauce. Hands down my BF's fave was the lettuce wraps, always been a fan of these no matter where we go, I personally LOVED the crispy pork belly, best I ever had without a doubt. This doesn't mean that we didn't enjoy the dumplings the soup or his chicken w/ peanut sauce these were just the items that stood out and want to come back just for these. However, the Tom Yum chicken for some reason tasted better the next day, maybe it's because I am team leftovers! This is hands down the best restaurant I've ever had in Spring, TX. We went on Sunday when it was cold and rainy, and the place was packed. There was only one server, Noy, and she single-handedly served the entire restaurant with a smile. The food was STUNNING. We started with the Thai wings which was extremely spicy--my favorite. My parents don't like spicy food so I ordered them a medium curry and a chicken pad Thai. My boyfriend and I got the Thai hot red curry and green curry. They were so so delicious. It reminded me of being back in Bangkok. The portions were large and the prices were very reasonable. We even had enough left overs for the next few days. The chicken in the soup and the curry tasted as if it were precooked, it didn't taste fresh (like not cooked today maybe), and chewy ish. Maybe that's just what they do for lunch. This is a delightful little storefront restaurant featuring a nice variety of Thai and Asian-themed dishes, from familiar favorites like fried rice and Pad Thai to Thai street foods and some unusual curries. We have been several times and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. The staff and host are very friendly and accommodating. My partner was gently teased about going with the conservative Pad Thai, but she really had a craving for it that day and it was very good. I really enjoyed the Larb, and they do one of our favorite starters, Fish Cakes, which only some Thai spots offer.
