We rented Awesome View for a week's vacation. The name is no joke-the view is awesome. The cabin is at the top of Timber Ridge Road (which is terrifying to drive and I was thankful we had an AWD vehicle in the summer) and was incredibly quiet and peaceful. But. Before we ever left there were tons of miscommunications with forms being sent, the people in the office saying they received them but then not sending me the information I needed. When I would call and say I hadn't received the information, the office person said they never got what I had sent! But once we got there, they were very responsive to issues we had. And boy did we have issues. First off, I don't know if it's an owner problem or a management company problem but the cabin needs maintenance. A lot of maintenance. At first glance the place looked clean but when you looked closer you could see dust everywhere. Torn screens. Ripped porch furniture. Light fixtures hanging by their wires from the ceiling. Burnt out lightbulbs. The Grill wouldn't light. Nails sticking out of the deck railings and broken latticework on the crawlspace. I contacted the office first thing the morning after we checked in and they got the maintenance guy out there quickly. Some things he could fix, others were outside of his bailiwick. He changed out the propane tank on the grill and gave us a long lighter to light the grill instead of repairing the igniter button. Well, either the hoses were bad or the interior workings of the grill were bad because the entire thing caught fire! Luckily, my husband knew how to use a fire extinguisher and we put the fire out and to their credit they brought us a brand new grill the next day. We had a lovely vacation and with some normal maintenance and repair I would recommend this cabin. But not yet. read more

We were planning a few days with some friends and used amazing views cabin rental. One of our friends had a stroke so we tried to cancel or reschedule and they said they were sorry but could not refund nor reschedule due to their four week policy. I encourage others to beware and boycott this company that, in my opinion, has no heart nor compassion. the one star rating is much too high but I didn't see any lower rating options. The pool area was gross. There were old plastic pool floats/toys there when I tried to move them bugs and slime and smell rolled out from under them. The bunk room, presumably for kids, was in the basement, alone beside the pool. As in, no where for parents to sleep, just kids. There was a pass code protected door between the bunk room and pool, but if your kid is like mine, he would have cracked that in the first half of the first day. Of course you pay all that money then have to gather towels, empty garbage, start the dishes etc. Also, don't try to get a physical address for the GPS. They'll tell you, in utter disgust, that in the mountains the GPS doesn't work. Odd, ours worked, so did our phones and tablets. Just not worth the money. They're rude as soon as they have your money they're gone. My poor DIL had a shower that kept filling with water. She said she was up to her ankles in the dirty water. read more

I spent over 2300 dollars for the Treetop cabin retreat and when we arrived, I was appalled, there was crusty food debris on the counter and table that had to be scrapped off , the light over the stove did not work, the oven was not clean, the jetted tub was broken, the label for hot tub controls were corroded ,the deck rail was broken, the kitchen chairs were unsteady (rocked back and forth) and the front screened in porch was not cleaned and had holes in the screen. After paying that much money I would have expected better. Then when I complained about the condition of the cabin, they sent a technician out to replace the label on the hot tub controls, he scrapped off the old label, left the debris on the deck and the trash from the new label as well. Then when I sent pictures and video of all of these issues to the office then offered to refund me only $146 dollars, that is an insult to say the least. Me and my family stay in one of their cabins. Tennessee Bliss in July 2019 and there was dirty pillows, covers in the closet, the grill outside was falling apart, there was a screw that was sticking out we're all the dishes were stored that was unseen into it gets you (I got cut), stuff on the floor, and door knob falling off. We called to reposted it to the office and they told us the management would call us. Two weeks later no call. So I called them and they said the management was still working on following up. Month later I emailed them, still nothing. For a year or more I tried reaching out to them but not get any response from them. If I didn't have to give any stars I wouldn't ! This place is a joke , we check into Bluebirds over the Smokies cabin on Sunday 12/26, most of the lights didn't work but the ceiling fans did . The main light over the family room area didn't work so it was dark in the room , that light was at least at a 20 ft ceiling . I had emailed them to let them know since it was after hours and no one was there . They got back and said someone would be there Monday to fix it with a ladder . Monday morning we woke up to the hot water on main level but working . I called left a message about water and reminder about light . Never heard back and we had gotten the hot water to work , so before we left for the afternoon I sent a email (seemed to be best way to get response) stating we got the water to work but the bulb still needed to be done but we had dogs in cabin and we were leaving so would rather no one come . I received a quick response saying MAINTENANCE WASNT ALLOWED IN CABINS THAT HAD DOGS So let them know when we get back and they would try to send someone then . This was at almost 1:00pm. At 4:53 pm we were heading back and I get a call saying tht maintenance came to out bulb on porch and my dog jumped out screen and ran . I asked did someone get him she said ohhh no he's big and the maintenance man had to get to another cabin . Well my 200 lb English mastiff is still missing almost a week later I tried to ask for the maintenance guys info so I can hear what happened which way my dog ran etc , she said we can't give u his info , I asked for her to give him mine , I can try was her reply . My son arrived at cabin 7 minutes after I got the call and dog nowhere to be found . They had tales to a few people and one was some one who was taking garbage out near by who said ohhh your hot water is fixed but we didn't know there was dogs in there , we seen a rott in the basement cage and another dog , then your dog jumped out window . It's not our job to chase them . They said the last communication they got from office was 915 about hot water . So some one didn't tell the men there was dogs and not to come in ??? All I can assume is my dog got spooked and had no where to go but out . We head to check out Thursday and I had sent numerous emails and calls to the office who didn't answer or respond to none . I finally called from another phone and they answered but could care less about my dog . People In the area we're trying to help us find him and called the office to ask if there was any calls or updates and woman named karen said what lost dog ? We didn't know a dog got out !!! They didn't call me or ask one time if we found him if there was anything they can do to help ! Nothing !!! We had to hire a k9 search and rescue who is still there looking for him . We had to drive back 9 hours home without our family dog . We are devastated and amazing views timber top could care less . To top it all off this cabin had broken cheap ass blinds in every room , the place is old and outdated . The area for the dogs to go to bathroom Was filled with dog poop , it was gross . Save your time and money and dont rent from here . I wish I could find the people who own this cabin and let them know how the company they hired to run and take care of the cabin treat people and the cabin . Worst experience I've ever had in this area. We arrived on Sunday to no towels, multiple beds with no linens or blankets. Called the management company who said they would deliver some within 3-4hrs. Ok 4hrs go by and still nothing so several ladies (we had 30) went to Walmart to pay for towels out of their own pockets, management company then tells us their shipment didn't come in so no towels. The second floor had 3 non working showers, you would turn it on and see water but after 20 seconds NONE came out. The dryer was broken, couched torn apart, theatre chairs broken, exposed wires, exposed sewer, etc. Let's not even start with the downstairs bathroom that looked like they have never cleaned it since the cabin was built. Several beds were broken along with futons, cabinets, refrigerator had issues, damaged doorframe, oh and let's mention the roaches that came out of the light fixture. One bathroom had black mold! Beyond acceptable and I don't even know how this place can be in business it's a serious health concern. read more

My husband and I stayed at Afterglow. The cabin was extremely dirty, cobwebs everywhere, bathroom sink leaked around the faucet area, you could see where it had leaked on the floor. The pictures of the place are outdated. The couches are worn out. Even with the bleach in the hot tub our bathing suits wreak of mold after washing and after soaking in white vinegar for an hour so they're ruined. The lights in the hot tub didn't work. The cabin has track lighting and 3 bulbs were out. The living room TV remote didn't work. This cabin could be immaculate in a good hour of cleaning. The photos below are the only ones I thought of taking but the dust and dirt was everywhere. We were there for four nights and were given 4 towels and 2 wash cloths for 2 people. I don't know what most people do but we shower every day at least once a day. I don't like to do reviews such as this but for the money you pay for these places they could at the very least be clean. It's a beautiful cabin with a beautiful view but it's filthy. I have bad allergies and woke every day with a headache from the dust. read more

We stayed at "Bear-a-dise" and it was the most awful experience I have ever had on a vacation. The floor around the shower on the upper level was soft and falling through. The bathtub on the upper level did not have a drain plug so I had to use a rag as a stopper- when I drained the tub, the water drained straight down the wall and out of the light switch on the first floor. The shower on the bottom level was full of worms! Overall this place was a DUMP and Amazing Views was made aware of these things from day one. They would not allow a refund or placement in a new cabin. They did however bring me a new plug for the bathtub-how sweet. The whole cabin was dirty and falling apart. We have used this company a few times..but not again. We had a cabin reserved for Dec 30-Jan3 . (Hidden treasures)On our arrival the deck was so nasty..mud ( understandable) but tons of cigarette ashes and so much spit..it was sickening. We went on in and there was mud on the carpets in the bedrooms. We called and made the office aware..the first night there were bugs in the bed and spiders in the kitchen sink as big as a half dollar and none of the blinds worked.but we STILL were going to just deal with it..the next morning on the 31st we received a call that my husband's Mom had passed away..we called the office after packing and cleaning everything we used and taking out trash..they said the owners wouldnt allow a refund or even partial..not only did we have the death of my husband Mom to deal with we also lost over $1200..we will take our groups and family to a cleaner and more caring rental company from now on! read more

We recently stayed at Smokin View Lodge in Wild Briar from Nov 18-25. Although the overall experience, view, and cabin ambiance was great, we did have some ongoing technical issues that need to be addressed so others don't have to endure the same issues. For a 10 bedroom cabin, and us having up to 23 people staying at the cabin for 7 days, the outdoor garbage bins are not sufficient. Other similar neighboring cabins have up to 9 outdoor bins. So Smokin View either needs more outdoor garbage bins in excess of the current 4, or be picked up every other day. Since we had express check-in, we did not know about needing to request garbage pick-up, but called as soon as it was an issue. The large refrigerator on the 2nd floor has ongoing issues with food freezing up - we lost all of our produce and 90% of the contents suffered from the issue (totally frozen milk too!) A service person came on Wed. and Sat., but the issue still remained upon our departure. We had to spend much time transferring food to and from the refrigerator on the 4th floor, and was only able to use the large refrigerator on the 2nd floor and 50% or less capacity, and still had food freezing issues. A/C ducts being disconnected on 1st floor, both bedrooms on right side of cabin. It appeared this problem existed upon arrival, but did not discover the reason until we made a concerted effort to find out why only cold air was coming thru those vents in the just those 2 bedrooms. Both ducts that connected to those vents were down on the ground, disconnected from vents. We called, and the A/C people reconnected them on Friday, but one of them came down again that same night. The A/C people returned on Sat. to reconnect the one duct again. They claimed a bear or racoon may have been the reason......but, that seemed a bit far-fetched since the animal would have to be smart enough to both open and close the access door. Seems hot water distribution is not good for 3rd floor bathrooms. Only in those 2 bathrooms were there issues with hot water depleting fairly quickly when being used. All other floors seems to have no issues with hot water distribution. Kitchen supplies: 1) Current electric can opener is very low grade and extremely difficult to make work, recommend either a higher grade or supplying a manual can opener. 2) No rice cooker....so we purchased one and gave it to one of our guest that was driving rather than flying. Lack of large pots as required to cook for the number of people the cabin holds. Although we did not intend to use it, the Air Hockey game had wires cut upon our arrival, so it was never used. We had one person staying on the bottom floor, right side/rear bedroom that came home with bed bug bites. We booked with Amazing Views 9/3/17 for our 11/18/18 trip. We were notified on 5/28/17 that the original cabin we booked "Views for Daze" was sold out from under us. As someone else noted, the company does not have a contract for this type of thing. Instead of a 12 bedroom cabin with an indoor pool and 16 bathrooms, we had to settle for 10 bedrooms/6 baths and no pool with no reduction in price. We emailed these issues and as of this date have received no reply or an apology. read more

My husband and I rented a 1-bedroom cabin called Cuddled Up. The pictures they had posted on the website were beautiful, and completely misleading. After we arrived (up a scary steep road!), we realized that the views posted on the website had either been photoshopped or taken 25 years ago before all the trees grew and blocked out the view. The hot tub was disgusting - greenish-brown water, and totally unusable. We stayed that night and went to the office in the morning and they refunded the rest of our trip, minus the one night we stayed and the pet fee. The woman in the office was very pleasant and obviously sorry that we did not have a perfect stay, which is the only reason they're not getting just 1 star. read more

Best Feature: Rented a chalet and had the most AMAZING vacation! Worst Feature: We couldn't stay longer. Bummer! Also crazy mountain road to get there. For our one year anniversary, my boyfriend and I decided to head to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. After debating on lodging options, we decided to try a chalet from this particular business. We rented out Mt. Hemlock and during the off season we were thrilled to find the price completely affordable! Our stay for three nights (including taxes and fees) was only around $430, which seemed pretty nice compared to other prices (we did our shopping to be sure to get a good deal). We headed down on a Friday to check in for the night. On their website, they make sure to clarify that GPS directions are commonly wrong and provided tailored instructions to get you there. I'm SO glad they did - the GPS was indeed incorrect and had us trying to stop a good 2.5 miles before the actual office! I called beforehand to check on the reservation and they were nothing but friendly and helped me make sure I had everything I needed before we headed down there. I also called them on the way there as our GPS was wrong and wanted to be sure we got there before they closed for the evening. Again, SUPER friendly service! They were very clear about the directions and procedures to get to our chalet and for check-in and check out. I felt really great about that! I've heard some nasty stories of people renting cabins or chalets before, so I was a bit apprehensive as to the conditions and services we received. When we arrived, our cabin was in spectacular condition! It was a very homey and inviting 1 BR chalet with indoor jacuzzi and outdoor hot tub on a balcony where you had a beautiful view of the mountains! I was impressed; they had described the chalet and it definitely lived up to the expectations!! We spent our first morning in the hot tub and enjoying the mountain view, which was VERY relaxing and just what we needed to get away from the busy stresses of everyday life. They also provided cable and our kitchen was great - it had all the amenities we needed! Basic dishes, cups, silverware, stove, oven, microwave, and coffee pot so we could just enjoy meals in and never have to leave the comfort of the chalet. The only downside was our first trip up the mountain - when we started up the narrow road, it was rainy and VERY foggy. We were very apprehensive and many times we were scared we'd plunge over a hill or not make it up the sometimes-unpaved road. It's rather steep in some areas, so definitely take a vehicle that is great on rough terrain! The next morning, however, the sun was out and the fog gone so we found it much less intimidating and we were pretty confident after that. Our trip had some ups and downs, but the chalet really made our vacation a paradise away from home. With mountain views, beautiful chalet, and great service, I'd gladly rent from them again and recommend them to anyone! Amazing views is a fitting name for the cabin rental place. The place was like walking into your own home, having all of the amenities available. There is a Full set of dishes, pots and pans,etc. I would have liked it better if i had been warned to rent a truck before trying to trek up the mountain. I was not expecting such steep roads, and I was really nervous. So, if you own a sedan I HIGHLY recommend a truck, or Range Rover type vehicle. It's about two and a half miles of winding narrow, sometimes gravel roads. We were wondering how they ever got semi's up here to build these cabins!!!!! I rented SMOKEY VIEW. Everything was clean,except the bed skirt should be changed. It has stains. Oh, another thing that freaked me out is the TV was on when we walked into the cabin. I even yelled hello,as I was not expecting this. Lol All in all, I have learned from this first time cabin trip that I am not really cut out for such rustic living. If I return to Gatlinburg, I will be getting a hotel. read more

Don't bother with them! We couldn't cook because grill was nasty and they didn't leave us anything to clean it with. Couldn't use kitchen pots & skillets because they were extremely scratched up stuff was chipping off of them. Also only 2 forks were there in a "fully equipped kitchen" that holds 4 people. Couldn't work the hot tub until we found the knob to it behind a bench. They don't give you pillows for the pullout couch. TV in the living room didn't work. Keypad on front door wouldn't let us enter or leave until we messed around with it at least 10x. Lightbulbs need replaced. Video game system and stereo weren't there that were supposed to be. Will never rent from them again. At least don't get cabin "Beary Nice" if you do.... read more

Had a cabin reserved through this company for Views for Daze Lodge, After $5000 of money sent to reserve this cabin and supposed to be attending 3 months from now for a wedding that has been completely planned around this venue the Cabin Company called and cancelled our reservation because they sold the cabin. We had several guests from out of state that will be attending. This is the first time that I have used this company and I will never use them again. Our cabin, Bear-A-Dise, was shocking to say the least. We go to Tennessee 2 to 3 times a year. I could not believe the condition of the cabin. The list is a mile long. To begin--and this is just a few; the downstairs shower had worms, handle falling apart, unfinished with cracks and holes. The bath tub did not have a drain plug. The main level shower's floor was totally rotten and we were afraid to use as there was a good possibility we may have fallen through. There was mold and cob webs throughout the entire cabin. Door handles were falling off and doors were filthy. And many, many more issues! Amazing Views did send someone out who fixed the tub drain. However; the tub when it drained leaked down the wall and into the light switch in the downstairs bathroom. YOU MAY WANT TO FIX THIS ASAP. No refund or exchange was given as the company stated it was written in the no refund policy and there was no other cabin available they could move us to. Besides the problems with the cabin, Amazing View Company itself was a very easy company to book through and check-in and check-out procedures were fast and convenient. I understand after calling that the cabin has a private owner. I would, as a company, not promote this cabin! we rented a cabin for the week of Thanksgiving. From the photos online the cabin was fine. We arrived to a disgusting cabin that possibly has never been cleaned. The carpets are unbelievable. Stains are everywhere and there are rips all over it. The baseboards and walls are filthy. And our dog found another dog's treat. The furniture smells so bad we have the windows open in 40 degree weather. The company never sent anybody to try and clean. Never rent from this company. We will be filing a claim with the BBB. My stay was during Spring Break 2017 The Bedding (comforter) was dirty and stained so they must not wash the bedding between guests, I did remove it from the bed, pool table was in poor condition(felt torn and loose, cue sticks were crooked and no tip), Arcade game joy stick was not functionable., outdoor Hot Tub heater wasn't working and couldn't be used which we paid extra for it when we made our reservations (freezing temps during the night and 40's during the day). furniture in family room was old and worn and the sofa had a huge stain on it and should have been replaced. My wife and I felt that the Pool Table, Hot Tub, and Arcade game were just props for advertising the cabin to look appealing but the three items weren't usable. I did call the office during our stay about the Hot Tub not heating, but nothing was done and they DIDN'T even offer any refund that we paid for the use of the Hot Tub. I did send them an email when I returned home and to this day they haven't responded. so my suggestion to those who might consider renting a cabin from them, you might not get what your paying for. First time we rented Terry's Treasure which was beautiful and everything we could ask for. Second time we used Amazing Views the staff were not quite as friendly, did not have a lot of help and felt rushed to make a decision on a cabin. We stayed at Red Cloud which was not as nice and did not have the "mountain view" We were told it did. The cabin was clean however, just not very nice after staying in Terry's Treasure. Let me start out by stating that for over a decade, at least once a year, I come to stay in Sevierville, TN. This year was, by far, the most disgusting and disappointing stay. We booked a week in the Afterglow cabin with Amazing Views/Timber Tops Cabin Rentals. My wife and I stayed from June 10, 2019 to June 17, 2019. This was the first time renting with this company and it will be my last. Part of the reservation, which is standard, is a fee for cleaning services and in the rental contract it states that "Hot tubs are drained, cleaned, serviced and sanitized prior to each reservation." Talk about breach of contract. The floors in the kitchen and bathroom were so caked with filth, I'm not sure when the last time they were actually washed. I wish that I could attach photos. You would see that I cleaned six squares (in rectangle shape) on the kitchen floor with a sponge and water and a line of squares on the bathroom floor the difference is a definite eye opener. I understand that some of the problem areas are severe wear and tear and needed upgrades which is why they look the way that they do and not true neglect. I also understand that the cleaning fees people are paying are NOT going towards cleaning of the cabin. The windows were so dirty you couldn't see out of them, the air return grate was full of dirt and dust, the hot tub had actual debris in it and the water spicket was still winterized (so how exactly did that get "drained, cleaned, serviced, and sanitized" prior to my arrival??), there were dead bugs all over the floors and in the corners and just as many dust bunnies. If housekeeping had just cleaned this cabin why are we finding all of this? The first morning in the cabin the shower was so clogged that it would not drain and caused the inside jacuzzi not to drain either. If the shower were cleaned prior to me arriving then the housekeeping staff would have noticed that the tub was totally clogged. I can only assume that it was never cleaned and I was showering in standing water full of strangers' filth. What a great way to start my day. They did send a repairman out to snake the drains to unclog the jacuzzi and the shower and bleached both afterwards. We even resorted to buying a new coffee maker/pot because the one provided was full of caked on coffee residue and we didn't want to risk getting ill from it. It didn't look like it had ever been cleaned. I have a hard time believing that anything other than a quick sweep of the cabin, wiping down counters/table, and changing bed linens is done as far as housekeeping goes. My wife and I should not have to clean the cabin just so that we feel comfortable walking in bare feet inside. This rental was not inexpensive and we were truly disgusted. The housekeeping crew never came when we complained and we were told that the cleaning fee we paid with the reservation was "never refunded." If I were the owner of this cabin I would be horrified to see how the management company is handling my property. We will NEVER again rent anything through Timber Tops Cabin Rentals or Amazing Views Cabin Rentals. Please do yourself a favor and find another place to stay on your vacation. read more

Spent a week in your "Peek A View" cabin. What a spectacular view!!!!! This was a first time family vacation with all my nieces, nephews, grandkids, sisters, and my dad. What a great spacious cabin. All the people we had there and never felt cramped at all. My grandson had a ball playing air hockey and the arcade game. My 15 month old granddaughter had a ball on the deck every morning and night. My personal fave was the hot tub on the lower deck at 5am. So peaceful. The only thing I was not impressed with was the couch down stairs the fake leather peeling off. The comforter in my room had tears in it, looked like it was from a old red roof inn. For the size of the cabin you need bigger garbage cans. Over all it was a great vacation and would recommend this cabin to anyone. We all hated leaving and didn't wanna come back to Ohio. Oh yeah the movie theater room is off the hook. Will not use Amazing Views again. On the way to our cabin we got a call that our cabin had septic issues and they would move us to a different cabin- an upgrade- free of charge. That's fine. However, we only had 4 days to stay there because it had already been rented. Now, we were like "is it going to take 4 days to fix the septic??" Amazing views says, 'Well, its a holiday and we can't get a plumber, so we don't know how soon we can get one.' (I really hope she meant they can't get ahold of one, cause YES, YOU CAN get a plumber on a holiday- twice the amount- but you can!) So we asked, "What happens if it isn't fixed in four days, what do you do with us?" Amazing views says, "we'll just have to give you your money back". Well, what are we suppose to do then?? Its peak season- like we can find a place to stay?? Anyway, we go to the new cabin and its big and in a nice area, but it was filthy. HAIRS in the bathroom- and not just one- but at least 4! You could tell they hit the hot spots cleaning the place. Had to buy clorox cleanups and wipe the floor down in both bathrooms and then everything else. There was inch thick dust on EVERYTHING! Sit down and a poof of dust comes out of the chairs- which was stained so bad, looked like a mechanic sat in it. The place had never been 'spring cleaned' and it needed it, desperately! Hardwood floors, we spilled water, wiped it up, and it was BLACK! This place was gross!! We wiped everything down with bleach. Just nasty. SOOOOO, on the fourth day we get to move into our original little cabin. Everyday we would try to call the office and see what the septic issue was doing- and the same, "we don't know yet.. haven't spoken to the plumber..etc" Come on! WE are your first priority- we are out of town with the possibility of no where to stay- we felt like they just didn't have a back up plan or were that worried about the fact that we were worried. So this cabin- pictures of this place were probably 20 years old. Guess what- it was FILTHY too!! So much fake greenery everywhere and COVERED in thick dust. The sheer curtain on the "canopy" bed was covered in thick dust, and shredded in spots. This place also had old broken down furniture- looked like something from a halfway house! Oh, and fun part was, we saw bubbles in the yard- probably from our showers. That was a pleasant thought. Was the sewage seeping up too? We left ASAP and did get the remainder of our money back. We will never do a cabin, or use these people again. Besides- this 'Southern Charm" cabin was SUPER creepy. We were all three scared and creeped out, but none of us said anything about it to each other till we left. MAJOR bad joo-joo- whatever you wanna call it- it was just not good in this place. Two bedroom house in the woods,quite and well worth the price. Pool table Wifi, cable television, hot tub and much more. Entertainment close by and something for everyone shows, rides and everything country. The cabin we got was less than a 4+ star hotel and we got the hole house that could sleep 8. Washer and dryer free pool free. Definitely worth it. Beautiful views, close to every thing so much nicer than anything else. read more

Stayed in a 3 bedroom cabin with 8 friends. Loved the open kitchen/living area. Each of the bedrooms and adjourning baths were very spacious and clean. The only disappointment was the hot tub on the deck. For such a large cabin that is meant for 8-12 people there was only enough room in hot tub for 4 people. read more

We rented Peek a View Cabin for our family reunion. On our first night, we spotted a mouse on the lower level and continued to find more( a total of 6) throughout our stay. After moving couches(on two levels) to locate the mice, we saw crumbs of food and an old potato chip bag. The office sent an exterminator to the cabin. He said he saw no evidence of mice and set traps. Mice continued to appear every day-they crawled out of hiding as we were eating dinner. We found one climbing all over our 8 month old granddaughter's high chair. We bought traps and were even able to sweep two out of the cabin. Some family members had difficulty sleeping knowing mice were in the cabin. We requested reimbursement for the mouse traps and the exterminating we completed (every night of our stay), but were told this was not possible. We understand that mice can find their way into cabins; however, the lack of cleanliness contributed to their appearance. Although the view from the cabin was lovely and the agents friendly, we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin and the lack of the office to accommodate our request for financial (and mental health) reimbursement. read more

The hazardous road leading to the cabin known as Eagles Nest prevented me from enjoying what would've been a remarkable view. Dangerous access to say the least!! I couldn't imagine trying to drive that in the evening. The gravel road that was deeply rutted and narrow was a big surprise. Not one that I appreciated. We did not feel safe and tried to cancel the reservation. No luck. Because we didn't use the cabin I asked that they refund, at least, the cleaning deposit. We rented a cabin for 6 nights with a couple that had never rented a cabin before, they were blown away with the cabin I picked out. Great view, very little traffic. Wi-fi worked great. The free DVD library machine at the convenience store about 12 minutes away from where we were was a little tricky at first to use, no bells and whistles with posters so you have to know the name of the movies that you may want to see by title . read more

We stayed in a one bedroom cabin. The cabin was cute, clean (plants could use a tad bit of dusting), and delightful to be in. My husband told me later however that the cabin was too small for his liking. The hard wood floors sparkled. The decor was a tad eclectic for me, but it still provided a homey feel. I'm not sure if it was due to how cold it as outside, but the entire area where we stayed was very quiet and serene. We had neighbors, but still it was a very quite atmosphere. The cabin had everything you would need to cook or bake with, a full sized refrigerator, a hot tub, a whirlpool, living room furniture, a grill, and a bed of course. The bed was a little too soft for my taste, but my husband didn't seem to mind. The cabins are located in a cabin like community, which I NEVER like to stay in. But the one we stayed in offered the same amount of privacy that cabins spread apart on a mountain would. The hot tub outside was private due to the high walls and no other cabins near the backside. We have stayed with other companies in Gatlinburg before. We loved the fact that this cabin, although secluded up away on a high hill or mountainous area, was less than a five minute drive away from the grocery store, a liquor store, subway, another restaurant (name escapes me at the moment), Mcdonald's, a dollar store and a family dollar if we wanted something quick to eat, or needed a cheap toothbrush or something. Those places were not close enough however to cause traffic or even be bothered with if you just wanted to pass them up on the way to town. The only problem that we ran into was cable. The first night of our stay we did not have cable at all. It wasn't a huge issue the first night, because we were out shopping, sight seeing, snow tubing and making our way around Gatlinburg. We didn't return to our cabin until close to eleven pm, and just made use of the hot tub since we did not have cable. I called the next morning to complain as we were leaving to start our day. When we returned to our cabin the tv was already on and the cable was working. My only complaint is that they really didn't offer to do anything to compensate us for the night of cable we paid for and wasn't able to use. I know my husband would've turned them down, but still, I think that's good customer service. When I called to complain the lady asked me if I had used the free cd rental that they offered when we checked in (you get two free dvd rentals, and buy one get one free discounts on several restaurants and attractions when you stay with this company). We had. We used our gas to go back out to get a cd rental because we didn't have cable. Other than that, this place is nice. read more

We rented the "Eagles View" at the top of the mountain. It was perfect for the two of us, closest thing to a honeymoon we've ever had. The cabin worked out so well, we plan on returning. Loved the fireplace and hot tub. It took us 10 minutes to get into the park. read more

My family and I have been renting from amazing views for the last 11 years normally we have a great experience but this time the experience has been terrible we found bed bugs in our cabin the cabin rental company sent out their own Bug Man only to tell us that they didn't find any bed bugs we had four children with multiple bed bug bites and also multiple adults with bug bites and allergic reactions to the bugs that bit them. We contacted the rental company only to be accused of bringing them in with us .We have images of bed bug sheddings and images of our children with multiple bites on their skin. From the downstairs pull-out sofa the cabin rental company did not offer to refund us any of our money compensate us for any of the supplies, laundry products, mattress protectors or anything we had to buy for our homes. This company has Put mutiple families at risk of getting bed bugs. When we asked if we could speak to the bug company about the report we were told that was against policy .So for all we know the company that they sent out could be working for them or they could have not came out at all because they sent them out after we checked out of the cabin .Please do not spend your money with this cabin rental company they don't care about their customers and they don't care about taking care of their customers issues. We stayed in Naught by Nature and the basement (where the bedroom is located) smelled musty and permeated our clothes. Additionally, there was NO hot water in the kitchen sink and the ONLY shower. We used the hot tub the first night and it continued to drop in temperature while we were in it. We called and complained about all of this Saturday morning. We were told someone would come and fix the hot water issues while we were out. When we got home late Saturday night, the shower still had no hot water. The hot tub did seem warmer on the second night, however, we would have preferred hot water in the shower and sinks. We were never notified if someone actually came out or not. It's completely ridiculous to pay that much money for a weekend getaway and not have access to hot water. There are better places to stay, don't waste your money. read more
