Bucking the Dave trend in Asian take out experiences, AMAZING WOK had a feel good sensation from the moment I walked in. Readers this is a TAKE OUT RESTAURANT do nothing in the interior hints at an eloquent dining experience except for the warm welcoming happy family behind the counter (These were real people not a huge appealing platter of sauteed pork, chicken, beef, crabmeat, & shrimp with seasoned mixed veggies that is on the menu.)! One of the children kindly asked if I wanted sauces with a smile. They were happy I was there and I was hoping the food would be good. They have 30 luncheon specials plus combo meals and all of the usual suspects. I went under $6 for the beef with broccoli in garlic sauce that also gave me a pint of hot and sour soup. Peeling off the soup's plastic lid unveiled the special aroma of well prepared hot and sour soup. Red pepper flakes were floating around in happiness. That first spoonful revealed the instantaneous combination of spiciness and sour ... Oh so good. Two minor complaints ... Fresh button mushrooms were good but exotic Asian mushrooms are better and it would have been nice to have a few more ingredients in the bowl but all was good! Those are just nitpicking minor whines. Oh the beef in my lunch ... It was perfectly tender ... It tasted like beef in garlic sauce but a blindfold taste test would have resulted in the answer it is beef every time. Chef did good!! The broccoli had not lost its crispness in the wok but was tender enough to be ideal. The garlic sauce was flavorful but not so overwhelming to take over the meal. And, the fried rice was fresh with a nice blend of veggies especially onion in it. So the owners wish that I come back will occur .... The AMAZING WOK is on my repeat business list!! read more

Every dish we have eaten from here is prepared with large portions, very good price and super tasty. If you need it hotter try the Hot mustard or the Hot Chili oil and make your dishes hot. I hate to do this because the people at Amazing Wok seem to be very nice but this has to be the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. My wife and I ordered scallion pancakes that tasted like cardboard. They appeared to have been microwaved. The fried pork dumplings were tasteless. The spring rolls were passable. The hot and sour soup had clumps of gelatinous broth in it as though it wasn't heated up enough--again in the microwave. The tenderloin of beef with scallions featured very tough pieces of beef--definitely not tenderloin. There were lots of scallions and a tasteless sauce. 2nd time we have gone to pick up food here . GREAT very tasty and frest fried rice . We get the house special rice and this time trying the House lo mein . We asked for super spicy and it was perfectly hot .The spring roll and cheese winton apps are very good (not greesy)and you get good quantity for your money. Main dishes we had this time were General Tso's shrimp with green bell pepper and other veggies and Hunan Beef very tender and nicely done sauce with broccoli and other veggies. The wonton soup is spicy which was a new experience for me. I've never known it to be a spicy dish. The chef specials do not come with an eggroll, which is a nice bonus at other Chinese. The ginger sauce that came with the fried dumplings was very good, but the dumplings themselves seemed under cooked.
