Just moved to the area. This place is a million times better than Umi. especially with their sushi. we ordered 5 rolls. delivered by the nicest delivery guy ever. We ordered an egg roll, wonton soup, Singapore noodles and General Tso chicken. The egg roll wasn't bad but definitely bought frozen. The soup was not good. Very thick noodles with little meat. The broth was almost flavorless. The noodles were somewhat spicy, we asked for mild but the inly real taste was the spicy sauce. The chicken was horrible. The sauce was watery. If you are vegan or vegetarian DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I just picked up an order that they swore was mock chicken (aka tofu) and it is DARK MEAT CHICKEN! The woman at the counter assure me it was tofu. I should have known better. I am so upset right now that this restaurant will lie straight to their customer's face! I told her I was vegan and she assured me that this was tofu. I'm not so newbie vegan, i haven't eaten meat in 27 years! You're an absolute disgrace to be so selfish and lie for a few dollars. I am beyond disgusted, I couldn't even drive back there to complain. Having eaten at dozens of Chinese restaurants in this area, I can confidently say that Oriental Express is a cut above the rest. I would challenge you to find a better General Tso's Chicken - every piece is white meat and easily identified. The Szechuan Chicken is both colorful and flavorful with crunchy veggies and spicy sauce (my personal favorite). Love the wonton soup here - the wontons are huge and full of tasty mystery meat. Other notable dishes include the Chicken lo Mein, Pepper Steak and Garlic Chicken. All of these dishes can be had as a lunch special for little $, or a larger dinner sized portion. Ive never had the sushi or any of the Japanese cuisine offered here, and Im OK with that.,, Mandarin Oriental is my go-to place for that. A few words of wisdom - If its hot outside, its gonna be pretty warm inside the restaurant, so you should get your order to go. They used to have roasted duck on the menu but I haven't seen it in a while, that was great too. I have never been impressed by the food from Oriental Express. I learned quickly to stay away from the sushi, found a couple entrees that were decent enough to satisfy my Chinese food cravings, and continued to place orders with them. Every time I thought about ordering elsewhere, I justified, "But you can order online! You can add the tip to the credit card! They deliver!" This went on for two years. Then I ordered a meal-- the same meal I ALWAYS order from Oriental Express-- and well... it was gross. It was gross enough that I have finally decided to give up on Oriental Express. One trip but didn't really work out for us. Basically the definition of "meh." My General Tsos was average, nothing good or bad about it. Rice was okay. Wife had chicken & broccoli though and called the chicken "nasty," and picked it out to eat the rice and broccoli. Egg rolls were tasteless, and mostly pink cabbage inside. The inside of the restaurant was very hot, very small, and run-down looking. Go for take out, or delivery if they offer that. The counter lady was polite and friendly enough. Great food big portions and tons of coupons! This is my favorite place to go in my area for chinese. im soooo glad they deliver to me. We always buy sorta buy in bulk with there eggrolls -so there's some to snack on for a couple days. Foods always here fast the people are nice and my kids always fight over the left overs afterwards.(they swear it's even better the next day) There foods been consistently amazing since I first ordered here over a year ago! I love thier chicken mu shu (just wish they had thicker or better pancakes to go with it.) Their meatless "mock" (seitan) General Tso's Chicken is one of my favorite items around. Their sesame tofu is really good too (I was able to get someone off of meat ordering it here). My husband hasn't ordered from here for years, not since the cashew chicken he ordered arrived without cashews. We decided to give them another chance and, yet again, received an order that was missing a crucial ingredient. That pork lo mein we ordered? Yeah, that turned out to be sad, plain lo mein without any pork on it. It didn't taste very good to boot. No response when we tried to contact the restaurant on top of that means we'll never bother getting food here again. There are too many other Chinese restaurants in the area that don't seem to screw up as much as Oriental Express. This place is my go-to place for cheap Chinese takeout food cravings. I don't know about the rudeness from the employees/drivers that previous people ranted about, but my experiences have always been positive. There was probably one time where I ordered the beef broccoli lunch special spicy and they forgot the spice, but they don't charge for the adding spice to the dishes and it doesn't normally come spicy anyway. So, I didn't fret about it. Other than that, give this place a try. The workers are friendly and the food is decent for the price. Everyone makes mistakes. This was previously a glowing 5 star review. For the past 4 years we have been ordering from here. The last few times the food has taken longer and longer to arrive. This last time our ticket said 6:36pm and the kid showed up at 8:12pm with our food, on a Monday. The sushi was on the warm side and our food was almost cold. Normally I would have let it slide, but when I called to ask where our food was at 7:50 We were told it was on it's way, it showed up 22 minutes later. The kid only had one other order to deliver before ours. Did they switch owners? It's really taken a dive lately and it's sincerely disappointing when it previously was such a prompt and excellent restaurant for service with tasty food. Even during peak times it never took over 45 minutes for an order to arrive. An hour and 45 minutes is unacceptable. She offered 5% off our next order. No thanks. read more

I'm a vegetarian so all I've had is their veggie dishes but they were all good (except the moo shu). Decent appetizers and decent sushi.

This has been our favorite go to place for take out. However, the last few times the food has really been sub par. Today we ordered - decided to give them one last try- and yep- never again. Not only did we not get what we ordered- we got someone else's order. So if anyone is missing hot and sour soup, lo mein and the chicken part of your sweet n sour chicken- we have it. They give 1 small container of rice - when there should've been 2 containers for each of the items ordered. No mustard or duck sauce for the egg rolls - the only thing good to say is at least it got here in the allotted time. Sorry sushiwok2go- you done and went. read more

They screwed up orders two days in a row and all I got from the woman on the phone was excuses; I've spent too much money at this place to hear her "excuses." RUDE AND IGNORANT!! I had planned to stop in and grab some take out for my family a few nights ago. As I have some mobility issues, it is difficult for me to walk any distance. When I arrived at Oriental Express, I was dismayed that there were no available parking spaces near their entrance. I was surprised when I noticed that at least three of the cars by their entrance were their own delivery vehicles. I circled around the lot a couple of times and then noticed a car pulling out of a spot right by their front door. With my turn signal on, indicating my intention to pull into this spot, I stopped my car far enough back so that car could safely back out. To my surprise, as soon as that car was clear, another car cut me off and got into that spot. Would you believe, that car was also one of their delivery vehicles? When I blew my horn, he just gave me a snide look and went into the restaurant. Great customer service! I have both owned and managed numerous businesses. In no instance did I or any off my coworkers ever use the prime parking area. That area was for our customers. We parked in the back or a side lot. We valued our patrons. They were deserving of the best spots. If this is how this restaurant openly regards their customers, what are they doing in areas unseen by their customers? Take my advice. Find a take out that shows concern and consideration for their customers. How smart can these people be? Do you trust them to handle your food? read more

If no Stars was an option that's what I would give. We ordered our food at 6:15pm and all we ordered was sushi roll and chicken and beef broccoli with rice. Or so we thought. No rice even came with our meal and he food was cold and showed up at 745p. I called to complain and I wasn't willing to wait for them to deliver rice quicker to make my own. So I asked for 5$ off. The lady had the nerve to tell me to come see her computer because I ordered at 7pm yet I have an email that says I ordered at 6:15pm. She also told me I had rice, if I had rice I definitely would not have called because I'm pretty laid back and could let the cold food slide because I was just happy the food showed up. The lady had the nerve to argue with me over the phone, and then claim she would give me 5$ off and hung up on me. I'll be calling the better business bureau this is far from how anywhere should conduct business. High way robbery. Oh and the food is horrible. I ordered online and when my food was delivered I only received 1 order of multiple items that I had ordered. I called them back and spoke with 2 people on the phone about their error. They were very apologetic but I assumed they would knock something off my price or throw an extra item on for free. I did not receive anything at all. I paid $70+ for Sushi and waited 1 1/2 hrs. Then to top it off when my 2nd delivery came and the woman who delivered had the nerve to knock a 2nd time to ask why I didn't leave a TIP...When I already left a tip on a $70 order from the 1st driver.
