This place is pretty cool! I was searching for something else when I discovered there was an actual Amazon Fresh store near me. I order my groceries from Amazon so naturally, I wanted to checkout the store. Let me tell you, technology is amazing! The cart is a scale! Well, you do have the option to use a 'normal' cart or the computerized cart if you're a Prime member. But yeah, the cart asks you to add your bags first so it can take that weight into consideration. Then, as you add items such as fruits or veggies that require a weight to determine cost, the cart does it all for you. And, it's accurate. crazy! What's also pretty cool is the cart knows where you are in the store. As you shop the screen brings up items from the aisle you're in. Just scan the item, place it in your cart, and keep on shopping. If you attempt to remove something from your cart, it KNOWS! It's ack you if & what you removed. Also, there's several 'Last Call' sections throughout the store where items are reduced. I got some beef from the Last Call meat section. Unlike some grocery stores where meat is on clearance, this beef looked fresh! Reduced from $23 to $14. Perfect for beef stew as the weather gets colder. Then, when you're done shopping you just ride out through the dash cart lane and you're done! I love it. The store was very clean! And of course there were several shoppers preparing groceries for those who order on-line (like myself). I've always noticed the prices ARE better at Amazon, which is why I shop there. Came here to see "if items here were compatible with a traditional grocery store. Amazon Fresh is located on Ritchie Hwy in Glen Burnie, about a 20-25 minute drive from me. There was plenty of parking on the lot. Upon entering the store, you can choose a traditional grocery cart or you can use the Dash cart if you are a Amazon Prime member and electronically input your information in the display located on the handle of the cart, put your items in the cart, and they will automatically scan the item and the price displayed on the screen on the cart. The ambiance was as any other grocery store. The staff were pleasant and ready to assist. If you are a Prime member, make sure you scan any QR codes for discounts located at the customer service counter. I usually come here only to return items to Amazon, but was told I need to check the store out. I came and perused the store and yes, there were items that were priced 30-50% lower than traditional grocery stores. They have a bakery, deli counter with hot pizza available for takeout. They have the traditional areas of a grocery store: produce, meat, frozen food, seafood, aisles of canned, dry, personal care and home/ laundry. They even have the Amazon brand of a variety of items comparable to grocery chain's in-house brands. They have self- checkout options as well. All in all, a nice option to your traditional grocery store. read more

It was exciting to see an Amazon Fresh open in the Baltimore area. The nice thing about this is that you can use one of their smart shopping carts. You do need the Amazon app, which you scan the in-store QR code to activate your shopping experienc. In the shopping cart, there are two cameras to see everything you put inside the car to avoid shoplifting. There are also two scanners where you scan each item you plan to purchase. There is also a touchscreen window that can walk you through how to use the smart cart, but for my first time, it was pretty self-explanatory. It's definitely nice not to have to wait in line so the service is extremely fast and convenient. They have a decent variety of items, basically anything you'd find in a normal grocery store. A lot of their brands are from Amazon. Their prices are also very reasonable. everything was well organized and easy to find. read more

This was my first time in the Amazon fresh store and I thought the whole experience was cool. Upon entry they have different carts to use; some you're able to scan and go, which is cool because you can add your Amazon account and bank card. They also have regular carts that you don't have to do this. The market was well organized and nice and clean. The prices were decent and they also had a cool feature where you could search for items on the cart and the GPS would direct you there. You also can pay and go through the dash line Without having to wait in line. I will definitely return. read more

I love going to Amazon Fresh! There are a huge variety of items and usually well-stocked. The prices can be high on some items, but they have weekly sales that make it worth your trip. The store is always very clean and not overly crowded. My favorite part of the store is that I can link my Amazon app to their cool shopping carts and scan the items as I go to walk out after I'm done without going to a register! They also have the option of purchasing in the app and picking up in store, but I prefer to pick out my own items (especially produce). read more

Ordered ground chicken from my local Amazon Fresh, froze it immediately to use later. Upon thawing I realized immediately from the smell that the worker had contaminated the bag and outer packaging with what seemed like spoiled fish? Or possibly lamb, something that had gone bad had been wiped across the entire outside. The meat itself in the packaging was still fresh with no issue, but I had to be extra careful not to let it touch the outside or risk cross contamination/food poisoning. Terrible quality service when packing meat, I have not had a bad experience in the past but the person who filled my order this time really screwed up. I ended up cooking the meat so I was unable to return it before the return window closed, but be wary about getting orders from Glen Burnie Amazon Fresh, it appears they re-use old plastic bags judging from the smell. read more

This was my first time experiencing an Amazon Fresh and I loved it! I had a lot of trouble connecting my QR code to the cart but a team member worked with me and brought multiple carts over until we got one to work! She was amazing and so kind and incredibly helpful! After we finally got a cart to work, she went through step by step of what to do. She was above and beyond wonderful. The store was clean and prices beat the stores in my area. I wish we had one in Crofton, I'd be there every week. read more

This place was amazing! This was my first time at an Amazon. Fresh, it was bright, organized, very neat. I think two of the things that I loved the most about it was 1. You can take your packages there and return them in store. And the second thing is you can pay for things directly from the card to whatever payment you have on amazon's account. Be cautious buying fresh foods from here. This is now the second time we've bought moldy food that was on the shelves. First it was strawberries and now garlic. The more I shop here, the more I realize it's not worth it, especially with the inconsistent pricing compared to other grocery stores. Plus I couldn't even get ahold of someone after calling in 5 times trying to let them know they're selling spoiled food. They obviously don't care, so I would take your money elsewhere! I know I am. I had a return and then walked around the store for a bit. Return process: 10/10. Scanned my barcode and I was on my way. Refund sent about 10 minutes later. Can't ask for anything better. Store: clean, bright, and TONS of employees. I went in the middle of the day, so the store was basically empty of customers. There were at least 10 employees roaming the aisles, which seemed excessive. Some were stocking, some were filling online orders, and the cashiers were standing around playing on their phones with nothing to do. Prices were about average if not a little high. They do offer discounts if you're a prime member, but it's very random and small. An extra .20 cents off here and there. Not really enough to convince anyone to join prime to shop. It's clear the store is targeting those with more disposable income. While it felt higher end, I'd rather go across the street and buy my groceries at aldi and save a ton. Sure you don't have the selection or some of the specialties, but I would have no problem saving AT LEAST $50 weekly by buying 90% of my groceries at aldi and the rest at Amazon fresh or Costco. read more

I loved that they had fresh pizza slices. I feel that the fresh food/pantry food variety was good as well. The checkout process on the app is something to get used to. But an associate was readily available to help me out. I love that i could return my online orders here as well read more

Ohh my goodness, we finally have an Amazon Fresh in Baltimore area. The store just opened last month and it feels like walking into a Whole Foods store. I recommend Amazon prime users to check out this store. I went there on Friday evening; it wasn't busy, the staff was nice and were willing to help when I needed help using with the smart shopping cart. They had fresh fruit, sushi, and pizza. With coupons we had great deals and a good shopping experience. read more

This place is a colossal disappointment. It's too small and very limited in selection. They did not spend any effort to research what the community likes the prices are high. No meat counter. No seafood counter. No bakery. Tiny deli. Produce is too limited. Had to go elsewhere to finish shopping. Was double charged for some produce. I won't be back. read more

Close location to lots of attractions in Glen Burnie. I go later in the day and it's not crowded so I can get in and out. It's nice to see someone at the front greeting and usually with a newspaper with a coupon. Some prices are higher than other stores but you can still get great deals especially on products not found in the other local stores. What I see that they have similar to other stores, is comparable to price in the Walmart's, Target's, Giant's etc... I like the pizza bar as it's a great value when you really just want to get one or two slices and not eat a whole pizza. I go for a few items and am there for 5 minutes but there's a lot more of the store to be seen. I also like that my payment card links to my Amazon (not prime) account so I know what exactly I got and can look for it later if I threw the package away. Staff seems happy to be there which you don't often see at the other local stores. read more

The online amazon fresh grocery experience with the Glen Burnie location has been horrendous. I have attempted to use this location twice and both times the order was cancelled. The first time, the order was cancelled at the time it was supposed to be delivered. The second time, I recieved notification that the order was ready for pickup. When I arrived at the location, I submitted, via amazon, that I had arrived. Approximately 20 mins later an employee comes out and tells me that my order was not ready and that it would be an additional 30 minutes if I wanted to wait. I showed the rep the message I received via amazon. The rep advised they would go inside to see what they could find out. Approximately 10 mins later, another amazon fresh rep came to my car and advised that the order wasn't even assigned to be picked. They apologized and I left. I find this to be strange, as I was getting messages regarding substitutions through the wait period. Mind you, I placed the order at approximately 4pm est and was given a pick-up period between 8-9pm. I am done using amazon fresh online order delivery and pick-up. Its not worth the headache. read more

I was excited to see this was coming to our area. My mom and I went in. It was packed. But I noticed that the place seemed kind of small. Also, they didn't seem to have much. I eat low carb stuff. I look for that and coffee. We went back into today and the shelves looked as if nobody shopped there. The place was empty. Still, they have a small selection of stuff. The prices are strange. The way they add up I mean. You don't think you are getting the discounts at first. Around me there is Whole Foods, Safeway, Target, Wal Mart, Wegmans and other places. There is no reason to shop at Amazon Fresh. I will never go back. read more

I stopped in to get a few things at the brand new Amazon fresh in Glen Burnie on Ritchie Highway. I was pleasantly surprised with the fresh produce, bakery, deli, meat department, and lots of great sales. It's a very large store. Free bags and coupons the week of the grand opening. Very clean store, wonderful service from the workers there. You can use one of their carts and ring your groceries in as you place them in the cart or get a cart and go through self check out or there was a cashier; so I just got in line there. It was a fast check out and everything was great! Of course, prices are high in general for groceries. But I tried to buy mostly the sale items. I spent over $50 and they gave me $10 off. read more

Last night My wife, daughter, and son all went to this location for the first time. I wasn't with them. Upon entering the store my wife needed to use the restroom. While doing so my daughter (15) attempted to log into the shopping cart. She was having trouble doing so. An older man (looked to be mid-thirties) came over to "help". He was unable to help. He called over another guy (looked to be mid-twenties). This second guy was wearing the uniform but a ski mask only his eyes and top of his nose were visible. The second guy says "You're pretty. The most pretty girl we've seen in here all day". The second guys agrees. My daughter is extremely uncomfortable and very nervous. Neither of them were able to log her into the cart and my daughter and son (13) leave to find my wife. I called Amazon and just got off the phone with them after being on hold multiple times for them to tell me call back when you have more details. If you choose to frequent this location be AWARE of perverts and sexually inappropriate employees. I'm angry and very disappointed my daughter had to experience this.
