I definitely love the fact that you can shop online on your Amazon account and they offer curbside pickup! If you get delivery, you need to spend a minimum of $100. This store is large and they have some pretty good prices and sales! I also like when you do Amazon returns here, they offer you coupons! $10 off $40 is a great coupon deal. Just be sure to check your groceries if you are picking up your order curbside. I've gotten rotten produce and expired items. If you forget to do this, you can always let Amazon know and they will give you a refund for that item. read more

I stopped by this Amazon Fresh location to pick up an Amazon order. I found parking just fine near the front of the store. When I walked inside, an employee greeted me and asked if I wanted their smart cart. The Amazon pickup area is toward the left side of the store once you past the self checkout station. It was a quick and easy process. The produce is on the right side of the store and the bakery is near the Amazon pickup area. The store is very clean and organized. The staff are also very friendly here but be aware you're paying a little more on certain items here. read more

Whoa... this Amazon Fresh is much larger than the one by me! This one is the size of a proper grocery store. I bring this up because it makes it much easier to navigate the aisles when you have a more spacious store. Additionally, it seems like quite a bit of the prices at this location were much cheaper than we have seen at their competitors. There was full size Duncan Hines frosting being sold for $0.97, Campbell's cream of mushroom soup for $0.44, and some name brand yogurt for under $1. None of these items were on clearance, these were just the regular prices. These were much cheaper in price than if you were to go to Dollar Tree. I'd come back here in a heartbeat. read more

Received expired food . The block of guyere was MOLDY and you could see the mold through the package . This shows me the shopper isn't attentive , doesn't check expiration dates and generally doesn't care about their job . Amazon refunded easily but the whole point of delivery is not having to go to the market ! So i tipped someone handsomely for bringing to my home yet had to make the trip regardless . I wish they would allow us to tip after the service because i'm tired of tipping amazon drivers/shoppers whom are careless . Amazon fresh is about $20 less overall for similar items at whole foods and many the same 365 brand , yet i've never experienced moldy or expired food from whole foods . Too expensive. I was so excited when Amazon Fresh opened...and truth be told, I worried the other grocery stores in Town would be counting their days as Amazon had more buying power than the lot of them (economies of scale) and that coupled with the auto check out seemed like a slam dunk.... But then I went there and the prices were routinely more expensive than everywhere else and the quality was nothing on a Whole Foods or Gelson's etc. It's a shame....and I hear now this store is closing to boot...an eyesore for Moorpark. The only good thing was the self checkout (though you had to be careful you weren't overcharged). Amazon Fresh became a convenient, quick stop grocery stores (if we were in a quick run for a party, we'd go here just go get out more quickly, and the hot food was decent (based on reviews it seemed that didn't last). The service was great, and the ambience was nice, but when you come in for a front page ad item on Labor Day weekend and I am informed that the ribeye steaks were sold out, I was disappointed. This isn't the first time this has happened with a fresh product I saw advertised before, and honestly feel it is like bait and switch. I was a buyer in a grocery chain 20 some years ago and it was not an option to run out of a lead item on the front page of the mailer. Amazon fresh is convenient but if I want a steak I will drive to Stater Brothers, Albertsons, Costco or Vons where I know there will be an ample supply. I absolutely need to update my review. I was not a fan of Amazon after my first visit and was extremely frustrated. However, several months ago I had to stop by due to time constraints. Talk about a complete 180 from my initial visit. Not only are there employees upfront to greet you, often times they will provide you with a coupon, the ad, Free samples, etc. Does selection in the store is awesome. The fruits and meat department are really top-notch. We often come into the store to get quick groceries and very rarely. Are we frustrated that we often go here instead of the usual suspects. As a matter of fact, we find ourselves going here, way more than the traditional grocery stores because of the deals, selection and overall easiness. Most of the time, they do typically have a 20% off deal if you spend a minimum of $50 and are an Amazon Prime Member. But generally speaking, they have good coupons and better prices than similarly offered items at Trader Joe's, Ralph's, etc. We found several items that are significantly cheaper here than going to those stores. A few pieces of advice are, make sure you have your Amazon credit card, or the credit card that is linked to your Amazon account on you to make things very smoothly. You literally put your credit card in to leave/enter when buying items. If you're confused or need assistance, the staff is always great! Seriously, the staff here is exceptionally friendlier than my last dozen visits at other grocery stores . Thank you very much for turning everything around. This is my go-to grocery spot ONLY with a coupon. I got sad when I saw the mailer didn't have a coupon one week and didn't think it was worth the visit since their prices tend to be on the higher end. I've seen the coupons for $20 off of $40 and $10 off of $50, which is pretty good now that inflation is at 9.1% and any savings is great. I have an Amazon prime account (through my sister, who also has an Amazon credit card) and use my phone to scan in. I prefer the orange shopping cart since it's small and cute and I don't overdo it on grocery things. I bring my own bag since I bag all my stuff in when I add items to my cart. They have some sales but it's only on specific items. Most shelves are stocked but Amazon doesn't have a variety like a grocery store would stock. The past couple days of the Prime Day deals was the most packed and crowded I've seen the grocery store whereas it's normally pretty quiet and slightly empty, which I prefer. It's honestly nice to go grocery shopping knowing you know what you're going to get without having to talk to anybody or ask anybody where anything is (there's Alexa at some of the aisles for that LOL). If anything, I would ask for shrimp or mussels by the pound at the deli section but that's the only communication needed lol Their rotisserie chicken for $4.97 is pretty tasty and comparable to Costco. I've had their 3-pack sushi rolls recently and it was pretty fresh tasting too. Their return policy is pretty solid and it does take a number of hours of your purchase to show up on the app but otherwise most of my purchases have been accurate. It said on one grocery run that I bought 3 ice cream tubs but I didn't end up purchasing any ice cream, not even close to the flavor they claimed I purchased :( LOL Please keep sending the mailers with ads and most importantly coupons :D read more

There's only a 1800 # for this business listed. I wanted to buy alkaline water from a refill station. I called the number listed. They told me they cannot connect to the moorpark location. unfortunately there's no place to refill your water container. They're only selling plastic bottles. I could of found it out over the phone if they had a number listed. When I checked out I told the cashier about trying to call and not being able to get connected to the store. She said she would go to the back and get the number for me. (I guess there's a customer service number that they answer at the store that's not listed) She took a while and I was tired so I left. This place is a joke. They hire without training or interviewing, sanitation in the kitchen is non existent, no one knows anything and management is constantly changing. I won't be surprised when it shuts down. Don't shop there. Don't eat there. As a former employee who had a seizure and broke teeth in the parking lot while managers came and watched yet didn't contact emergency services - this place does not deserve support. Decided to try it today. It was a ghost town. Produce looked dead. Very wilted. Prices were very high. Seemed like Whole Foods prices on everyday items. Like a budget Whole Foods with everything wrong. When you scan your Amazon code to enter, you must do the "just walk through " exit. They tell you that your receipt will be sent inn1-2 hours! So you are walking through a turnstile, trusting that they are scanning the products in your cart. And you have no idea what you were charged until you have been home for 1-2 hours. Warning: Double-check your receipt! I'm writing this review to alert Amazon Fresh customers to be vigilant about checking their receipts, even for small purchases. I went to Amazon Fresh on 9/11/24 and noticed they were charging over $8 for an 18.5oz bottle of Pure Leaf unsweetened tea, which typically sells for around $2 on Amazon and at other grocery stores like Vons or Target. Meanwhile, they were selling the 64oz bottle for just $3.49. I mentioned this to the cashier, but she gave me a blank look and said, "You got a dollar off with your Prime membership." I told her it seemed mislabeled, but she just shrugged. I ended up canceling the purchase and leaving, but I couldn't help wondering how many people have been overcharged due to mislabeling and staff indifference. I contacted Amazon Fresh customer service, but all I got was, "We'll investigate," and they refused to give me a direct contact for the store manager. It's disappointing--and a little scary--that you can't trust the price tags at a store, and even when you try to address it, you're brushed off. Charged for multiple items never put in cart!!::Decided to come in for the first time and being prime members the prices were lower so i thought this is great! Went through the store and bought a few items that were priced well. Upon leaving i asked about the receipt and they said it would show up in a couple days. Well it did show up and i was charged for 3 items i didn't even put in my cart. I only picked up 2 of them and put them back and one i didn't even pick up at all. So now i have to waste my time drive to a city i dont live in to get my money back. How is this saving me money?! If this happens that often which i assume it does they need to have a better refund system or way to confirm order before you just "walk out" dont fall for this scam. So me and the most beautiful woman in the world went to go check out the newest coolest grocery store in town Amazon Fresh. Initial reactions. This place is super clean. Everything looks so nicely placed and organized I feel like I'm in Japan. One of the coolest scary features is that u set up your Amazon account with your palm and when you put stuff in your cart it adds it up for you and charges your account. So no checkout. Sorry checkers - we all knew it was coming. I can't say I bought too much because while it is truly astonishing how clean and nice the store is from the produce to meat, liquor and fresh prepared foods. I didn't see the sales like I am used to with my Ralph's and Vons and I like to hit the sales! I did get some of the sushi which really can't be called store sushi cause I would compare it to any sushi bar there is! So I guess this store will take a back seat to my Ralph's. I have a serious problem with Amazon Fresh stores. Let me first say that I love the concept and also to be able to walk in and out with just a palm swap, but things have gotten worse recently. Their system makes mistakes all the time. My receipts from every other visit to Amazon Fresh stores have at least one mistake on them. That's an accuracy rate of only 50%. Here are some examples: I was waiting in the prepared foods department and happen to be standing in front of a stack of paper towels, I was charged for them. I was waiting in line for package delivery and return window and happen to be next a stack of cookies, I was charged for them. If I pick up an item to read the ingredients, there is a good chance that 80% of the time, I get charge for it, even when I put it back right away. I have many such examples. In my experience Amazon Fresh Stores make an error 50% of the time. That's every other visit, sometimes, every visit. In the past, I'd get home after the purchase and look at my Amazon order on that day and if I found any errors, I'd simply select the option for a refund. The system would automatically remove that item from the receipt. Considering that Amazon Fresh Stores are still a work in progress, Amazon's handling of their mistakes has been stellar until recently. In my past 2 visits to the Amazon Fresh stores, the system made a mistake on each visit and when I tried to select the refund option for those items that I had not taken, the system refused and asked me to call customer service. Customer service calls take at least 20 minutes. Considering the unreliability of Amazon's in store item tracking, the fact that now they want us to spend 20 to 30 mins on the phone with customer service after each visit is preposterous. Until this matter is resolve I will not shop at Amazon Fresh Stores anymore. read more

Although Amazon Fresh can (in general) be pricey, I've shopped some of their items against other retailers and found that they actually do beat on prices for certain items (even finding them beating Walmart on some pantry staples). You just have to do your research and compare. Their coupons in the mailers are great and they have stacks of them in the front of the store so you can grab it before you go shop. The store is always super clean and well stocked. Staff is very friendly. I don't know where to start so I'll use bullet points to keep this more succinct. *every time I go in they are out of 75% of their sale items and almost always out of the ones I need. This is classic bait n' switch and at some point I see them getting sued for it. *no longer seems to be a greeter when you walk in or when you leave to make sure everything went ok. It didn't. *the cashiers do not help you bag. If it's just you and them, they stare at you while doing nothing as you bag your own food. Can I at least get a hand? I also over heard another customer complaining about this while in line. *always check your receipt because the sale items you CAN find sometimes don't ring up at sale price. Unfortunately their receipts make no sense since they cut off before saying what the item actually is. Upon expressing this concern to the manager I was met with complete silence. Maybe it's not their fault as they were attempting to figure out how to fix my overcharge. You'd think that would be simple but "the system isn't set up for this" (is what he told me). He ended up refunding some random groceries in the system and giving me back a random amount (more than what I deserved- which is nice but why the heck don't they have a feature to refund a specific amount?) which brings me to... *I'll never use the self check out until I can get a receipt immediately. No one wants to find out they got overcharged after they left the store when it's too late to fix it. *an employee told me the reason ppl get overcharged here is that the system charges you for items NEXT TO the one you actually took, and might also charge if you change your mind on an item and remove it from your cart. How in the **** was this process not vetted and fixed before the grand opening? Kinda a huge deal considering this is what makes them special/different than the other guys. *everything they sell is over priced. I'll only shop there with a $20 of $40 coupon because Ralph's which is 2 minutes away is way cheaper (sale or no sale) and actually has all the stuff I need *this one's just kinda funny: do you remember Fresh and Easy? Amazon fresh ripped off their aesthetic. I used to work there and amazon stole their colors (lime green and black), the font for their logo, and even the word FRESH, and I just thought it was a little funny. Even their shirts are identical to old "fresh and easy" shirts. Does it matter? Nope! Just kinda funny *I took a picture of their (typical looking) empty aisles but I can't seem to locate them now since that was a while ago. However I did snap some today of the empty sale items. Point is- they never stock enough product. Their shelves are always about 25%-50% empty. And no one wants to drive to a grocery store to find out that maybe they do or don't have the basics that you went there for. *lastly- there's one checker and NO ONE ELSE up front. Yeah there used to be more when it first opened but that was just because they were new and needed to explain to everyone how the store worked. Now they don't have anyone else up there (no greeter and no one to help in self checkout). Meanwhile the one line they have is super long and no one calls for backup cashiers. I've yet to see more than 3 ppl use self checkout and I've been there about 12 times now. Probably because of what I've explained regarding how it overcharges you. Question is, aside from the coupon (which is only a temp thing to gain new customers and won't be here forever)- why WOULD anyone shop here? Ralph's and target are next door. Ralph's sales are also REALLY good. And they even give you a receipt! Go there instead. Ps last time I went the checker asked if I found everything ok (which was nice of him), I made it a point to not be rude to them in my response because it's not their fault but I WAS honest and said "no, you're always out of sale items and it gets frustrating after a while". Then I handed him my coupon to use. To which he snarkily replied "that's because everyone comes here with these coupons and then clears the shelves", to which I responded (as an ex Trader Joe's, Costco, Fresh and Easy employee): no, it's because your company doesn't order extra sales items to cover the high demand". There's a lot of potential here and I'm hoping the selection and accuracy will improve over time. The technology is impressive on the surface. Most of the shelves are scales that record changes in weight. There is an army of cameras hanging from the ceilings, to assign a price to the things that don't do well with the scale concept. Their programming seems to assume that everything will be in the right place, in order to charge the correct amount. For instance: I selected a bone-in rib eye that had been tossed on top of the boneless ones. I was charged for the boneless -- an overcharge of about $6. I selected bone-in chicken thighs and was charged for boneless breast. Yet another overcharge of about $10. I bought two plantains, which should have been $1.09 each. They were in the right spot, so I can't theorize what the problem was. Maybe merchandising or camera calibration; they charged me for bananas at $0.15 each, which look like the plantains I bought, but are very different. I like that we can just leave after scanning a hand. Problem is, we leave without a receipt, so we can't do something about inaccuracies immediately. Indeed, we left at about 6:30 pm, but were not emailed our receipt until a little after 10pm -- after closing time and almost our bed time. We were able to notice the errors the next day. My time is expensive so I'm not sure if I'll bother to complain about it. There is nothing among the un-prepped meat and produce that's particularly unique, or even greatly discounted. The wine selection is just ok; tons of reds, not much of the dry whites and sparklers. The pet food section has the usual purina, meow mix, Blue, etc. All the produce looked good except for the eggplants. They were either beat up or underripe. The prepped food looked very good. It is set up like a salad bar and is 7.99 a pound. They dedicated the entire side of an aisle to bottled water. I found that amusing and ridiculous at the same time. It appears that the employees on the floor are not experienced in grocery stores. The aisles are fairly narrow and it's easy to block an aisle depending on what other guests do. I heard, "Excuse me..." while I was perusing a shelf. Looking back, and moving, it was a stock person telling me to move so they could get further down the aisle. Party foul, they don't even do that at smart & final. The people restocking shelves side their carts up to the merchandise so that a good six feet are blocked while they're doing their thing. I rarely see that at Vons, when I encountered it several times at AF. While there's a lot of restocking going on, there's not a lot of pushing forward or returning items to the proper place. If they're going to put megabucks into shelves with scales, I should think they'd also integrate spring loaded arms to keep the stuff forward and easy to reach. As with most new stores there are a good amount of empty shelves and depletion of various varieties of dry goods. It's a cool place, and a cool concept, but I'm not sure that I'd want to make a habit of shopping there, given that my trip ran me a good 15 bucks more than it should have. read more

Well I just visited the Amazon fresh in Moorpark California and I got to say I will never go back in that store. First off there must be a million cameras in there looking at every single thing you do I assume robotic trans action (so how does that work if you put it back in the wrong spot? just asking) creepy very !. I ordered a vacuum sealer from amazon.com and it said I could either ship it to my home or for convenience ship it to the Amazon fresh store, I wanted to check out the store so okay send it to the store. Problem is the help working there can't do anything without a QR code which wasn't sent to me by Amazon, I had a paper receipt and they couldn't do anything with it wow im almost speechless. Almost ! SOOO They just sent me away and told me to come back with a QR code on my phone. At that point I asked to speak to a manager any manager who never came to the front to talk to me I finally gave up and walked out. What a joke of a grocery store some one wrote it was like shopping in the black star, well put. What I saw there was very limited selection and stock and of course a very creepy overhead surveillance type atmosphere. I for one can't understand why anybody would want to shop there not exactly what all of the commercials imply. Went next door and bought a sealer at Target which was much easier. I'm really sorry to see the reviews posted here as they are. My only reason for 4/5 stars it that the selection of certain products could be more. I'm not expecting them to have everything as other grocery stores, but a few more things that I think are common. First of all, to those complaining about the 'walk out checkout' thing - it's new technology. It will have flaws. In my stubborn old school-ness, sorry to say I will only be checking out with a cashier when I shop here (for as long as this is available). What are you expecting with camera/touch based things? There will be flaws. And yes, you get the receipt later, but think of how many people are also using this method. You want instant gratification? The quality is amazing. The prices of many items are fantastic. You can't complain about the price of food because guess what. Unfortunately, there is a little thing called INFLATION right now and it's everywhere, and it's only going to get worse. Some things were a little more pricey, but as expected with the convenience and who Amazon is. How do you expect Amazon to recuperate from the free overnight delivery of many singular items at your convenience? I personally am VERY happy with my experience at Amazon Fresh. Everything was neat and organized (of course you have your terrible lazy customers who leave things they don't want where they please and their carts all over the parking lot). They had a lot of great looking, very fresh items at a great price. Their fish was almost all fresh and not frozen (this is surprising) the meat was packaged and sealed nicely without looking like it has a potential to spread food illness by leaking. I bought their fresh baked multigrain loaf at an amazing price, even a 1oz container of Tsar Nicolai CAVIAR for under $30 (amazing). Their fresh and ready food selection looked wonderful. The sushi was not sushi restaurant taste, but very decent (you have to be realistic about sushi that is not from a sushi restaurant). Their produce is wonderful. The selections of certain items they did carry were wonderful. I haven't wandered into their alcohol section yet, but I fully intend to. I only hope Amazon Fresh will continue to stock great things and have weekly specials on certain items, I will definitely be back. While I can't get everything I need here, I would make the extra trip, some things are a great deal! Reading the reviews for this new Amazon Fresh location that uses technology from Amazon Go, it's clear there is a wide gap in experiences. If you're already an Amazon Prime shopper that prefers not to wait in line after filling up your cart at the grocery store, this Amazon Fresh is like stepping into the future. Considering the previous tenants of this location were Petco & Staples, which have been long gone... this grocery store is a much needed addition to the area. read more
