    Disgusting tumor... Sick.
    Rob B.

Bought tri-tip and shrimp from the meat dept.. Tri-tip was 1/3 fat and upon cutting it, discovered nasty tumors!! The shrimp smelt strongly of fish. Took one bite and spit it out immediately. Absolutely disgusting. Ended up eating just salad for dinner. Upon returning the 2 items, the employee told us "we apologize" and "look forward to seeing you next time". Vons ruined the dinner I bought for myself and my family, wasted my time + gas there and back, then thinks I'm coming back!? Ripping customers off be selling meat per pound that's overloaded with fat shows their true ethical standards. Attached are the disgusting pictures of what they sold me. Only positive thing I will say, the cashier and 2 of the baggers there are nice and I feel bad they work for that store. They should apply to Trader Joe's and get out of there.

To start with, after their remodel, they've shuffled everything to the point where it's extremely difficult to find things anymore. It takes far longer to complete our shopping than it used to. On top of this there are fewer employees available to ask for assistance or directions. The new interior "corral" where they keep laundry soap, medicine, toiletries and personal items is extremely inconvenient. You have to pay before leaving this caged zone and then pay a second time on the outside for the rest of your groceries. The Ralph's digital coupon app, which is supposed to save you money is clunky, slow, not intuitive and forgets everything you finish inputting into it. It has never worked right for us and even the cashiers have trouble using it. It's useless. The paper coupons we receive always seem to arrive 3 days after we already purchase and pay full price for the items listed. By the time we go shopping for these items again, they are already expired. Most of the coupons are for useless things we never buy. However the kicker tonight was when we finished our shopping and filled up our entire cart, as usual, but there were no checkers. None. Zilch... Apparently Ralph's is now routinely shutting down the regular checkstands and routing ALL of the customers to their self-check machines. When you have an entire cart full of groceries, this is a deal breaker. This is especially problematic when there is only one person there to monitor a dozen self-check machines and you have to wait for assistance for everything like a scale error, produce charged by weight or any items you need removed. Of course the biggest issue for us was trying to check, weigh and bag all of our own groceries. This easily took four times longer than usual and was extremely frustrating. The bottom line is this is our last shopping trip to Ralph's and we will be using one of the other local grocery stores in Moorpark instead. They've just lost a customer...

When I was in Ralph's this week, I didn't buy some of my favorites because of the gouge prices. I think the bananas were 80¢ / lb and I balked at the $4 pineapple. But when I went into Moorpark Produce I couldn't believe the SUPER GOUGE prices. I needed some milk, and DID NOT SEE a price tag. Like a percentage of us, I did not look at the price before I casually (habitually) used my phone to pay electronically. When I got home, I noticed that a half gallon was FIVE CLAMS. Thats about 2.8 times Ralph's price for the half gallon. I could have bought Ralph's FULL GALLON for only $4. I felt like such an idiot for not checking the price. I would have left the milk right at the check stand. Not worth the effort to go return the unopened container. But I DID call them and let them know why I'm not going back there. Price gouging may bring some more profits, but I feel in the long run creates a loss of customers and wasted food, from what doesn't sell. The store should be embarrassed. I was happy to see they had 2 pints of my favorite ice cream brand left. (My local GO hasn't had it for a few weeks.) I was also happy to find the last bag of ~8oz bag of York Peppermint Patties on the shelf selling for $2.99. Sure they expire this month but I just saw the same bag at Walmart for $5.99. I've been known to live dangerously when it comes to chocolate and I will consume chocolate that has been sitting in my pantry for a year so it expiring the same month as purchased doesn't frighten me. The cashier was really nice and I admire her that she is fluent in Spanish and we spoke briefly about how great her Spanish is. (I'm learning Spanish.) I definitely recommend this location. I just wish I had more chances to check it out but I live in Oxnard and even though I am in Simi Valley once a week for work, I don't have the time to pop in.

Cauliflower was $2 for a head. Jumbo sausage patties were $3 for 60g of protein. Silk oat and pea blend milk was $1.47 because the best by date is today. I wish they'd marked it down to a $1 but $1.47 is already $0.50 cheaper than their normal price so I guess that's decent enough. I'm not sure if the pound of tamale corn husks for $10 was a good price but I looked up the price at smart&final and supposedly, it's cheaper at grocery outlet. It really shocked me to see the receipt say 25$ at checkout though. Hopefully, my tamales turn out well because the corn husks were way more expensive than they should've been. I was looking for coconut oil and there was plenty of staff around Wednesday morning, working on restocking the store, so it was easy to flag one down and ask for help. She guided me to aisle 1 which I mentioned I'd already looked through and she went to check the back for me. A minute later, she came out and apologized that they didn't have any in stock. I appreciate her doing a thorough search for this item for me instead of just waving me in the direction she thought it'd be. I would've been sent on a goose chase for a product that they don't even have had she done that. I wonder what discounts they offer to people who have a phone number with them. The cashier never asked if I have one with them. Maybe I shall look into that so I can see if I can collect points since I enjoy shopping here.
