Highly recommend! We have received nothing but exemplary service every time we reached out to Amazon Pools, Inc. We originally hired them to install a railing for our pool. Installation was timely and the railing is great, so much easier to use the pool. We decided to go ahead and get a railing for the spa as well. With COVID there seemed to be a limited supply, but the owner, Walter Pereira, managed to track one down for us. Again, timely service for installation. But what has impressed us most is Mr. Pereira's helpfulness and willingness to answer questions. We have called Amazon Pools numerous times when we have had trouble with our filter and pump. Despite the fact that we are unfortunately contracted for the moment with another company, for which we receive very poor service; he was always helpful and took time to explain what the potential problems could be. Recently, our pool had been down for almost a week and we still had not received response from our contracted company, so we called Mr. Pereira yet again. After hearing the frustration in my voice on the phone, Mr. Pereira and a staff member actually stop by at the end of their workday on their own time. THAT is customer service you don't find these days! He inspected our equipment for us, taking the time as he did to point out and explain what he was seeing. He found several issues that are clearly causing problems with our system working correctly, including a couple electrical code violations that are dangerous. We now have the knowledge we need to get the other company to do what they have to for the pool to be fixed and work efficiently. I highly recommend Amazon Pools for their customer service and performance. After the service we have received this past year with them, we hope to transfer our service over to them permanently as soon as our contract ends. read more

I have used Amazon pools for quite a while. Basically not knowing any better. Being new to Florida you go with the recommendations of others. I advise you not to use this company Walter does not return calls or texts. He says he will be at your house a certain day and does not show up. Days later after multiple ignored texts. All calls go to voicemail. Still no show and no response. His excuse is usually family emergency or text didn't come through. Had my phone off etc. I had company coming from out of state. A month in advance I let him know. He acid washed the pool a month before the company arrival. Pool would not filter from there. He said it was a com wire and he would have to get the wire. The com wire came in. No show. No response. 2 days before company showing up. Zero response. I hired another company to fix the pool. They came the day before all the company arrived and fixed the problem. It was not a com wire. He had incorrectly wired the aqualink system. The heater was incorrectly wired along with the salt cell system so nothing was communicating. The system had to be wired correctly. The filter was so full of debris from the acid wash that water would not filter. Some broken new I rings he had installed and the new spa check valves had glue stuck to them so the water level in the spa would not maintain. $700 later the pool is fixed. Walter comes across as very nice but he is a no show. No response. You will not get good service here and he does not know what he is doing in my opinion. Don't be fooled by the nice guy. It was also said that I needed a new heater. The pros at pool Marshall stated the heater is just fine. Other reviews I have read state the same. I have asked for the repair bills to be paid by this company due to negligence and incompetence and am getting ignored. Not surprised by this. You will not get a receipt of any kind nor warranty information. My request from the water dept for the sewage portion of the water fill for the pool was denied due to no receipt. It is my fault for not reading reviews earlier. But now I know a little too late. There area many other instances of being ignored etc. I am guilty of giving the benefit of the doubt but enough is enough. I don't like leaving reviews like this but..you need to know what you are getting into. read more

Walter was very responsive when it came to getting the job, but we made a mistake hiring this company. A few weeks after the work was done we were losing water in the pool so we hired a company to find the leak. It turns out that when they refinish the pool they didn't seal the main drain to prevent debris from getting in to the pipes so we had piles of rubble in the pipes backed up so far that we couldn't clear it and ended up having to close off and not use the main drain anymore. Of course I called and emailed Walter but got no response . Also, a few months after the pool was completely redone, sections of it came off as you can see in the photos, and we had more than half of the tiles come off. He had said he was going to repair the bond beam as well as use a brand name product which he clearly did not fix because we can see behind the tiles that fell off the bond beam is still cracked and did not in fact the brand name product he agreed we found out recently he used a knockoff product and he basically just glued on new tiles and didn't correct our cracked Bond beam. He also said the concrete slab was going to get raised and filled because it had collapsed. That was not done. In the end, the initial estimate he gave was much lower than what our end price was, we paid it because he said there was additional work done, and he sounded genuine and trustworthy. I asked multiple times for the invoice and he said he was going to send it right away each time and never did. I emailed many times over months and called but every time I called he did not answer until I called from a different phone and caught him. He said he was sick, he said family was sick, he said he was traveling because someone was sick, there was always an excuse for why he didn't respond after the job was completed. When I approached him about the problems we were having, he did not respond to my emails until I sent him an email telling him I was going to post a review about my experience. He called me a few minutes after I sent the email and said he was away and had just returned. He came out to look at the job but did not say he was going to fix anything he did. Please do not hire this company, hire a large reputable company, all we did was waste our hard-earned money, don't make the same mistake. You get what you pay for indeed and in the end we paid dearly because now we have to have the pool ripped apart again only a year after the initial work was done. Last time, we needed the work done ASAP, but we should have waited in hindsight for a real Pool repair company. Sorry Walter, but people have to know how you work. By the way, we never did receive an invoice, the reason we needed it was so we could get rebated for the sewer portion of our water bill, we didn't get that rebate either. read more

Amazon really came through for us over this holiday season. It was the week between Christmas and New Years and we had a VRBO guest checking into our home and the pool heater had died. Despite having taken the week off for the holidays, Amazon got on the case and said they were going to do everything possible to find a supplier and get the job done. Despite warning us that it could be a week or more, they came through and got the job done in 2 days. We've worked with Amazon in the past and always find the proprietor responsive and dedicated. read more

Walter from Amazon Pools answered my post requesting removing my existing pool equipment and replacing the concrete pad that had cracked and was sinking under the weight of the equipment. responding to my post explaining what a great company they are and all about Customer Service and being a local pool company I decided to request an estimate. Walter came out on a Friday and We discussed the project in depth, and he assured me that I would receive an estimate by Monday. Well, the whole week came and went waiting to hear from Walter and that never happened. A total waste of my time. If he was just up front and told me he wasn't interested in doing the job, that's fine, but to keep a homeowner hanging for a week holding up the project is just plain ignorant. I think it worked out for the better because after reading all the negative reviews about how he does not follow up on any calls when there is a problem I think I would've thought twice about hiring him anyway. so much for the customer service!! read more

Amazon did a good job on resurfacing our pool. It looks great but the new masonry is separating and cracking at one place and needed to be repaired. They promised since August to repair it but have not. In fact now they will not answer emails or the phone. No explanation or response at w at all. Just silence. read more

I hired Amazon pool to find and repair a leak that am sure cost me thousands of dollars in water bills over the past several months. They quoted me a price and I set a date and time. They came when they showed up on time, they found and repaired several leaks, and charged me exactly what the quoted me. They even came back the next day to check the job. Amazon Pools resurfaced our in ground pool in November 2018. For the past 5 months we have been experiencing streaks and marks appearing in his work and have tried contacting him by phone and email with no return telephone calls or emails. His $5,700 plus proposal spells out a 10 year warranty but he will not respond to our contacts at all. Walter appeared to be honest and sincere when I met him but I would recommend that you do not hire him or his company because it appears he will not stand behind his work and will not even call to address the issues or come by to view or respond to the problem. When I wanted a few estimates to have my in the ground pool resurfaced, I interviewed several businesses, and Walter Pereira from Amazon Pools sounded like the best deal. The work was done by sub-contractors, but guaranteed for 10 years. I was very pleased with the way the job turned out. However, 3 months later, I had a problem, called Walter the week BEFORE Easter, and he said he was too busy right now but would contact me the following week - it is now 4 weeks later and I have yet to hear from him - THAT IS NOT GOOD BUSINESS!!!!! My own pool guy has resolved the problem, but I was truly disappointed that this business does not back it own work apparently. read more

I never write negative reviews, but this company has pushed me to the edge. We hired Amazon Pool to fix cracks in our pool deck surface and then follow up with painting the surface as we were having the entire exterior of our home painted. It took many, many phone calls to get through to him and make a plan once we settled on fees and work to be completed. There was always an excuse for why he "disappeared" from contact (lost my phone, family issues, etc....) Once they finally came out, the paint job left a lot to be desired. Quite a few areas had little to no paint around the pool deck space. The edge around the pool is uneven and untouched in many areas. The pool edge is now two tone due to the lack of paint coverage. There are drip lines and bumps around the pool now where paint ran and dried. Of the cracks that were supposed to be sealed and painted, two were never touched. The surface where the cracks were "fixed" looks worse than before. We called Walter Pereira to complain and asked him to come back out. He came out and we showed him all of our concerns. He said he would have his guys come out and fix the work by the end of the week. That was 2 months ago and he has never shown up, called, or had any communication with us. Needless to say we will be filing a claim with the BBB. Save your money, and time, and frustration. read more

I hired Amazon Pools to resurface my pool and install a solar system. This was around a year and a half ago. The pool resurface is fine. Solar system started leaking after less than 6 months. After repeated calls, he came out to repair it. The repair lasted one month and after calling him six or so times, he promised to come out again. He never did. Six more phone calls and he said his phone was broken and he was missing call (teenage excuse) and that he would be out the coming week. Never came again and now the leaky system is harming our new roof. I called him again and on my message said "who does business like this? Don't you think about internet reviews?" Well, here I am. I'm not sure what's wrong with him. He is totally nonresponsive and seems to not care and be without a conscience. He is a nice guy in person but a serial liar and doesn't stand behind his work. read more

Last year Amazon Pools was contracted to resurface my pool and install a new skimmer box. The resurfacing was sub contracted out and went well. There is however a small hole about a 1/4 of an inch round and deep in the bottom of the pool which is black. I have tried to clean it with a brush but it will not clean out. I will now need to put some epoxy putty in the hole to hide the black spot in the bottom of the pool. I guess a bit of putty will look better that a black hole. The main problem comes with the installation of the skimmer box which the owner personally installed. For some reason he used five 90 degree elbows in the first four feet after the skimmer box. When the pool was turned on, air bubbles started coming out of the returns in the pool. I called the owner and pointed this out to him and he came back and looked at the issue. He said he would return and take care of it. This was July 2019. I contacted him several times after this however he did not return and fix the problem. I personally found the time to lift the paving around the skimmer box, dig out the sand in the problem area and to my dismay one of the elbows had no PVC glue on it. I took pictures of the situation, removed four of the 90 degree elbows and installed two 45 degree elbows to remedy the situation. I then sent him the pictures and explained my findings and requested a $500 refund for this situation. All this time I could not use my pool cleaner due to the lack of suction, and the pool was leaking water at the area of no glue on the PVC elbow. I have reached out to him since then, however he does not return my calls. Poor customer service. The biggest red flag for me was that the owner did the skimmer box installation himself. Worst experience ever. Walter seems nice and helpful in the beginning but once he starts receiving your money all bets are off. Would never show up for scheduled appointment times and had no consideration for me having to take off of work each time and he would never call to let me know he wasn't planning on coming anymore that day. Constantly using family illness as excuses for no showing and not calling. Extremely sloppy tile work. Grout lines over an inch thick because of unskilled tile work. Constantly ordered wrong parts and then ended up using car spray paint (!!!) to try to match drain covers which naturally peeled off. It was supposed to be a four week job and has turned into six months of hell. He has now officially abandoned the job and is no longer returning calls and text messages. I'm left with a spa that completely drains every night, sloppy patchwork job on what was supposed to be replacement plumbing, hideous grout lines and tile work, and a broken spa light. This job cost me over $17,000 and it's a complete embarrassment. He also tried to convince me that I needed a new spa heater and that the copper in my heater was causing copper corrosion in my pool. I had three independent companies come out who all said that is completely impossible as I have a titanium heater and there is no copper coming in contact with water at all. I would suggest checking out court records as he has abandoned jobs in the past. It also seems to be a trend that he uses excuses about family illnesses for years now.
