I was at the ambassador to watch a boxing event. The place is not much to look at. They need a makeover. There was water dripping from the ceiling. Water 2qw dripping in the ring. They took an intermission to address the leak. Therecwere pans in the ceiling that were overflowing. I believe it was connected to the air-conditioning. The staff did a great job. They guided us to where to park. Security checked everyone at the door. There were more staff in the auditorium that sold tickets and guided everyone to their seats. They ran out of hot wings. I heard they were really good. I attempted to get nachos. But the staff told me the chips were mostly crumbles. She suggested cheese fries. I decided to go with her suggestion. I didn't expect it to be the many fries. But that was a very nice portion of fries for the price. If not for the need of renovations needs I would have given it a 5 star rating. I enjoyed myself. It was a great boxing event. The crowd got too rowdy. Im willing to attend again. They need to fix the leaks and make some updates to the appearance. read more

Went to the Ambassador to watch a boxing match and it was a total cluster. The ticket entrance was so disorganized that we got there at 4:30 for a 5 pm first bought but the line was so slow by 6:15 we still hadn't made it to the entrance. We missed the matches that our friends were in. The line rumor (while everyone sweated in 93 degree heat) was that they only had a few ticket scanners and they weren't working. I sent a request to eventbrite for a refund and went to dinner with friends. I haven't see many events this poorly handled before. read more

Went there yesterday for a repass and ordered a Margarita with Patron and I don't know what I was served but it was definitely not what I ordered. The drink was horrible plus they serve you drinks in plastic cups. I definitely won't patronized The Ambassador ever. Almost everyone who had a drink complained about their drink. They had to be watered down and cheap liquor replacing top shelf. read more

Purchased tickets ahead of time and arrived to find out that the concert has been postponed as of a week ago . Not happy that they didn't communicate this to those who purchased tickets beforehand. Won't attend another event here again. read more

My experience 5/1/21. Being harassed by the security guard almost ruined our family event. Security guard said...If you are not smoking, you have to go inside. But there was no air inside. Security guard said...You can not congregate at your car. Security guard said...You are not allowed to sit in your car while on the property. Security guard said...We were throwing bottles. Although it was a baby's glass bottle with milk that was accidentally dropped and broke. We cleaned up the glass immediately. Security guard harassed a little 5'2 young lady and threaten to call the police on her, cause she told him he was harassing. I guess he felt threatened. Oh, and the security guard was NOT wearing a mask, while telling others they HAD TO wear a mask. I'm witnessing all of this in disbelief. Owner, please better educated your staff. This was a demeaning & humiliating experience. But the place is very spacious. read more

They are a rip off! They don't adhere to their contracts if you try to cancel and charge you several misc fees, such as the 100 fee to waive their catering services. Plenty of other nice banquet halls in St. Louis, don't let the too good to be true price fool you! read more
