My kind of spot! We popped over here for a drink to wind down the night and were pleasantly surprised to find good country music, friendly faces all around, and a nice neighborhood bar feel right downtown. The more I sat here, the more it felt a bit like Nashville *used* to feel 10-15 years back. Not packed to the gills, but lively and fun with a rotation of music throughout the week. The service was great which is always such an added bonus when bellying up to the bar. Now I'm not from STL but I feel like it's a strong beer city, and their tap list definitely backed that up. Total Nashville vibes. Such a cool spot with two separate rooms--one for dancing and another with the bar--so you can easily pop over for a drink without having to shout over the music. Drink prices are great, and the band was incredible. We got there right before 9 to catch their set, and they played straight through until midnight, never stopping ONCE! This spot felt like I stepped right into bar in Nashville. It had good vibes, live music, and plenty of room for everyone. The guy playing music was good, the bartender and owners were super accommodating, and the drinks were ice cold. What more could you ask for when you're out for a drink? We stopped out for a drink after an event at The Garage STL and between having live music, and the football game on, I was already happy. I recently have started to take it easy on the drinking but that was no problem, they had plenty of options for me. I opted in for a N/A and it was surprisingly good. Tasted just like the real deal. They even had some shirts and hats for sale that looked pretty cool so I might have to go back just to grab one of those. Overall, this bar was great. Like I said, if you picked up this bar and dropped it into any spot in Nashville, it would feel right at home. It will definitely be a stop every time I go to STL. read more

Down in the Central West End, Country's not a big thing. But thankfully in here, it's the REAL thing. Live Bands , affordable drinks, friendly atmosphere. Two major floor areas and an open backyard patio mean you should be able to find room. Just getting back to the bar after it gets busy (almost every night, and understandable with the live bands.), you may have to work your way back for follow-up drinks. Only Negative: Any time you go into a new bar, the bartender's / bartendress's should have their own "specialty' drink. Unfortunately, it seemed like their only offering was the bar's "vodka shot". read more

Great band but appeared to be under age patrons & police presence inside at back of bar which was a bit discerning - seemed like a high school reunion w/a loud band - several scantily dressed young girls prancing around that also looked under age - I'm certain their fathers would have been shocked at their choice of dress - line for bar was 2-3 people deep on all sides - so we quickly left - not a great vibe for middle age patrons on a late night. read more

I was dancing january 24, showing others how to dance, everybody was enjoying themselves.Nobody was upset. I went outside to cool off.And the manager came out and laid into me screaming, yelling at me, that I better stop dancing. I am obviously never going to return. I was there to see jordan who only comes in town every once in a while. I don't get to go out and dance very often. There's not many country places. I've never been so poorly treated or screamed at for dancing. When no one was dancing except me and a person I was teaching everyone else was standing around. I got so many compliments, and so many people wanted to come in and dance with me. What a disappointment. read more

Great little country bar in downtown St Louis. Live country music everytime I have been there. It's right off 4th Street behind Broadway oyster bar. The bar has two small areas. The bar area, then the other side (separated by the bar and a wall) is the stage, tables and a very small dance floor. Bands have always been good. Fun place to stop. read more

Great bar near the stadium. They have Miller Lite so any Brewers fan will be right at home. They offer standard bar drinks in addition to Miller Lites like more beers, liquor and of course white claws. Attentive staff, quick with drinks and shots. Game 6 offers the closest thing to a Nashville honky tonk as you can get in St. Louis. I go here quite often and the music and service are always great! The bar has two sides, one side has music and a dance floor, and the other side is quieter with big tables. There is also an outdoor area through to back. Best Burger I have had in Missouri. Venue is fantastic. They have a bar area separate from the band stage and dancefloor. There are tables in the room with the band. They also have a beer garden. They are one block from Busch stadium. Ask for the chicken Mac and cheese. read more

Great place for live country music in STL. We have stopped by for a date night with just the two of us, double dates, and even hosted a birthday party there and were impressed each time. We had a great time at Game 6 Honky Tonk Joint. The venue has a great layout with a large bar with TVs and high top tables in the bar room. The music room has the stage, dance floor and tables. It's a fun place and easy to move between rooms. They had a great local country singer belting out favorites while the crowd sang along. We will be back soon. read more

Now my "go to" bar downtown. The place is keepin' it country, with a great mixture of bands (you might hear some older rock & roll on occasion). Favorite band is local east-side group, Ridin' Shotgun, plus Orr & Rolens, also from Illinois. Food is slightly above average for bar food, with more limited fare on Baseball game days, for which they are open before and after. In-house acoustic system for the bands, Nashville style. Dance floor is large enough if the urge hits you. Wait staff is top-notch, with a new beautiful young bar-maid with Nashville cred and who performs on occasion, but we will miss A-O'Day. read more
