Our kids were just 2, 4, and 7 at the time, and we were just coming out of COVID, so they weren't used to meeting anyone new (or doing any kind of photo session!)... but she somehow had them smiling, posing, and cooperating immediately and the whole thing was done in a flash. I left that day thinking, "Wow, this is what a professional photographer can do!" When Grandma wanted to do a multi-generational session with our extended family, I knew who to go to! Laura made our family photos comfortable and fun - dare I say, relaxing? She provided information for us to pick a gorgeous location, coached us gently on how to pose naturally, and had good rapport with our kids (and with Grandma). She's easy to communicate with, responds promptly to emails, and had our gallery of photos ready super fast. She was positive and encouraging throughout the shoot, and gave clear, helpful guidance on posing, where to look, and what to do with your hands and arms. To start with, she was very accommodating with our needs, travel time, pricing and just overall flexible around schedule and setting up the shoot. We discussed ideas before the shoot and had numerous message exchange for different poses, styling, hair and makeup. She also drove all the way to Santa Clara for shooting at the spot we picked, which was very generous of her. There are a couple things that are critical for a photoshoot especially one involving a small puppy - comfort, ideas, familiarity and patience. Nupur is exceptional in all these aspects! She also has a great personality which helped us have fun during the shoot instead of 'posing' to get the right angle and expression. My husband is bit camera shy and our small dog is difficult to manage but when we saw the final photographs they were nothing short of magic. Since the first moment I contacted her, she has been super tentative, responsive, and patient with all my questions and input. I wanted to try something new and different that I hadn't seen in her portfolio before and she was not only game but was extremely excited and kind about everything. Even before the shoot, we talked on the phone to discuss themes, we texted about different angles, lighting, mood, locations, and wardrobe. I have had many photo shoots (engagement, wedding, individual/family/professional portraits etc) with different photographers, and Nurpur is BY FAR the best in collaboration. We never felt like our ideas were sub par, in fact, every pose or photo that I had selected for inspiration, we actually worked to recreate each look in our own way! She still had backup plans for what we could do if that happened during the session. during the photo session, bianca and her assistant were working with some difficult material (us), but got the best out of us by making us feel more comfortable and confident. regular people don't know how to position themselves well for photos so it was so helpful that Bianca has a proactive and enthusiastic assistant who was directing us and making us feel at ease so we looked less stiff and awkward. Her assistant, Diane, was very meticulously checking if we got all the different poses necessary, and finding ways to create nicer shapes with how my wife's leg would be angled, or how we'd look better with nuzzled heads together. they were quick to encourage and capture natural moments like when we started laughing after i sneezed while trying to be posed. so happy with the end results and looking forward to doing newborn shoots with her next!
