We love this place! The wood-fired pizza is some of the best we've had, the salads are good, the staff is friendly and all the desserts are works of art, and delicious too. Kingston location decorated so well, very nice atmosphere. Sometimes hard to get a table because there just aren't many. I would say pastries are good but 2 cupcakes and 2 coffees with no refills for almost 12 dollars is a little too much for me. Their pastries tasted absolutely disgusting. We paid for a dozen and picked 12 different ones and each one was horrible. The cakes tasted like boxed white cake mix that they just dyed different colors and their frosting, which there was more on them then cake, just tasted like pure sugar. I felt my teeth rotting just by eating them. The only thing that tasted good was the chocolate icing, which just tasted like the Betty Crocker frosting. The pizza is different than what you get everywhere else in the area. The first thing is that it's a wood fire pizza, which if done right really adds to the flavor. AmberDonia definitely does a good job with their wood fire oven. They have toppings that you just don't see everywhere in the area. Sopressata, mortadella, pancetta, salami, and prosciutto are all available here. Their sopressata pizza is one of my favorites. They also have cheeses that other places don't offer, like ricotta and Gorgonzola, which really help give it a different flavor. And finally everything they put on the pizza is fresh. They have fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato, and sea salt that just tastes different than everyone else. Then they also have an impressive selection of desserts in their bakery that you can't help but want to try as you come in to pick up your pizza. The pizza was the best ever! NEPA is known for its great pizza but AmberDonia is by far the most unique, freshest ingredients and tastiest for the area. They are leaps and bounds above and different than anything in the area. Chill atmosphere, byob, and overall great experience. Did I mention ridiculous desserts?? All I can say is, if your eyes don't bug out when you look at the pastries when you walk into this place-then you don't have a heartbeat! Wow! Wow! Wow! I am very much cursing my good friend and neighbor who brought me here for the first time! The salads are fresh, different and incredible! The pizza is a thinner crust and wood fired, and definitely reminds me of the pizza I got in Rome a couple years ago! The atmosphere is very cute and you can even eat outside, which is a nice treat! The best pizza I've ever eaten. Fresh, authentic and delicious. I ordered a few pastries to go. They were fresh and looked so good. They were all made by the owner's wife, who is a baker. I love this place! However I have gotten cupcakes there a couple of times recently and they were so bad! The cake was soggy and wet, and had a weird liquor taste. The icing didn't taste good either. I have had cupcakes from here before and loved them! I don't know if they changed the recipe but please fix this problem! They cost too much to taste that bad. read more

AmberDonia is a gem. Wood fired Pizza that is very high quality -- all homemade ingredients. How many pizza places make their own cheese? BYOB and great pizza choices on the menu. Salads are fresh and LARGE - split one among 3-4 people. You can also "build your own" pizza with combinations of high quality ingredients. The desserts are amazing. You just have to try one....or two if you share. Friendly service from people who want to work there. We got to know the owners, and they are terrific people.
