    [[HIGHLIGHT]]Arthur was a great technician! He took his time, was personable, and gave a lovely massage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The botanical pedicure felt lovely!

    Would not recommend. Was rushed through my nails and it shows! First, after doing my pedicure, Ivy had me walk across the salon without the sandals I normally wear with this service and the sandals (including my daughter that day with another tech) had on. Gross! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then she sat down and obviously didn't listen when I showed her I wanted cat eye nails.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She also refused to listen to me when I said I wanted tips![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She just kept saying yeah and kept on so I told her I wanted tips. This made her annoyed probably but that is what I wanted and made it clear from the start. She quickly applied the tips (wrong size) and the polish coats. She didn't even turn the dryers on so I had to tell her about it. The gel lamp time was minimal and to top it all off, she didn't even let me wash my hands off after she didn't clean up the undersides of my nails OR put cuticle oil on them! Shortly after, my nails started bubbling, now they look horrible and are getting caught in my hair!

    [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had a great Saturday morning experience here![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I arrived as a walk-in shortly after the salon opened for the day and had no wait time. Kim was the nail technician who helped me and she did a fabulous job with my nails and request for a pumpkin on each hand. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She also gave me a recommendation on the other accent finger to complete the look for the start of October![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    I'm not typically one to complain or leave negative reviews, but my experience at Ambience in Anderson yesterday was bad enough that I feel like I need to let people know. I've been an Ambiance customer for years with mostly good experiences but had such a BAD experience's yesterday that I feel like I have to write a review. Went in for a gel manicure. Decided against acrylics or tips because my own nails were long and healthy. Well they were BEFORE Leon the nail tech cut them drastically short - so short that it hurt. Like, below the nail bed of a couple fingers. Then he proceeded to do the worst gel color I've ever seen. Looked like a kid did it. But at least color is easy to fix. I was mostly upset about how he butchered my natural nails. I left without complaining because the damage hadn't fully hit me yet but I called 10 minutes later and told them how disappointed I was. Receptionist asked me to send photos so I did that. She told me to come in so they could re-do the color. I told her I would also need tips because my nails had been cut so short that they were not just ugly but painful. Went in, got tips and new color and the manager CHARGED me. For tips I DIDN'T WANT in the first place but that I now needed because my own nails had been BUTCHERED by their tech. It was horrible customer service and pretty embarrassing to be treated like I was trying to scam some free nail tips instead of just a super disappointed customer whose nails were massively damaged by their employee. Anyway, even the new tips are not only not what I wanted but two already need to be fixed. I'm going somewhere else for that. Two pieces of advice - if you go to ambiance with healthy natural nails take a 'before' picture so if one of their techs ruin them they can't lie about it (which they did) and stay away from Leon because he either doesn't know what he's doing or he's a jerk who ruins nails for fun. Below are photos showing how short the tech cut my nails. It will take months for them to grow back out and the pic I showed the tech of what I wanted. Also the only photo I could find to show how my nails looked before they got butchered. And finally a pic of the "fix" which is not what I wanted and looks terrible but at least my carved up sore fingertips aren't exposed. Now I just need to find a nail salon that can fix this mess before Christmas. Like I didn't already have enough to do ugh. Worst nail salon experience of my life.

    Treated myself and my daughters to a basic manicure at Ambiance Nail Spa recently. We were assigned to a manicurist as soon as we picked our colors from the very large selection of available nail polish. My manicurist worked with me to understand the length and shape of nails that I prefer and she made super sure my nails were dry before she let me leave her station. The spa is very comfortable with nice seating, lighting and decor and there are nail drying fans built in to the stations to help move things along in between coats. They accept credit cards for services but not tips. If you don't have cash on you, there's an ATM in the spa.

    For a place that charges so much money for just to fill, I can't believe how poor the quality is of the service. It was very rushed and rough. And as you can see in the image, the color on the top coat wasn't covered. Will not go back, tok expensive!

    I wasn't going to leave a review, but 4 days later... my fingernails still hurt. I believe I was charged for a Master technician, I'm not sure because I paid for my daughter's horrible manicure as well. My tech, Mia, made me bleed on 7 fingers and all I got was "Sorry" and she asked for my card. I asked her to fix 1 issue and she seemed to get upset and grinded on my cuticles even more, so I didn't bother bringing up any others.

    I went in for a manicure Monday. I'll admit I don't get them often but the result was unacceptable. I was a really fast job, didn't soak my cuticles on one hand, just went straight to work, quickly filed, put polish over the one nail that still had clear on it, even told him it was there. Once home, you could see all the layers he put on, topcoat didn't even cover the entire polish. Started chipping off in one day. I felt as though I was rushed and the more he could do in an hour the more $$ he made. By Thursday night, I had to remove the polish since it looked so bad.

    I always go here. It is so easy to book and no matter who I get for a pedicure, they do a great job. Nice atmosphere and very relaxing!

    I followed my stylist here from another salon. She had been cutting my hair for a year and had…read moredone a great job. I wanted to change the color, so of course I contacted her. Let's just say, the color (on my COMPLETELY virgin hair) did not go so well. I am a brunette and wanted to go red. The dye took to my roots and not the ends. Even there at the salon, my stylist noticed that something had went wrong. She had to bleach my hair out and then apply the semi-permanent color. After four hours in the chair, a bit of trauma and devastation, I decided to call it quits. I wasn't sure if I was just being emotional or was overtired, so I wanted to give the color a chance. She did not charge me for the color. Needless to say, I woke up the next day and was still devastated. I looked like Ronald McDonald and had "hot roots" (where the dye was splotchy at my roots). I called the salon and asked to speak to a manager. I had thought about attempting to remedy the situation at home, but at this point my hair had been so abused by a plethora of chemicals, I was afraid. I was so mortified, I could not even go out in public, and certainly was not interested in returning to work where my 25 employees would have to attempt to take me seriously. The salon manager called a stylist back in to work to fix it. By fix, we're talking about neutralizing the dye job, but by no means is it my original color nor is it the color I wanted when we set out on this adventure. It's not even a pretty color. Then... they tried to charge me for the correction. I had every intention of tipping the other stylist who performed the correction, but I was not going to pay for a dye job that was so far off from what I wanted AND cost me 6 hours out of my schedule, causing me to miss a class I paid for. The salon manager/owner had the nerve to tell me that it didn't look that bad before the correction and accused me of lying about the last time I dyed my hair.. Even the stylist performing my correction understood why I was upset. Further, I will not pay for a service that is so far off base from what I wanted to begin with. I offered them the opportunity to fix it, but the owner wanted to argue with me and tell me I should pay. I was appalled and will make sure everyone knows that if ANYTHING goes wrong during your visit at Noggins in Anderson, they will not do anything to rectify the situation. Now, I have to take time out of my schedule next week and find a colorist who specializes in corrective color and waste more time, just to get me back to a livable color.
