We ordered cocktails which were both awesome, mine was a Moscow, the best I've had so far and my wife ordered a cocktail called Shaken not baked. We shared the crab cake as an appetizer and both ordered the beef filet which was amazing. We shared a bottle of wine and the toffee chocolate mousse for dessert. Ambiente A landscape Hotel sits in a wonderful setting inside of Sedona Arizona. This is an amazing property, catering to couples as it's 21+ only. It is exclusive as it only has 40 suites on property, all free standing, all with stairs leading to a rooftop fireplace for each. Sunsets are unparalleled here, and you can enjoy an extraordinary view from your roof as the sun splashes against the red rock cliffs surrounding it. As soon as you arrive on property, you are lead into a beautiful lobby. From there guests are taken via a golf cart to your individual suite. All employees go out of their way to provide luxury service here. This includes the spa which we enjoyed, the onsite restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, to the bellman, groundskeepers, servers, and housekeepers. While on property, you can be escorted via property car anywhere in Sedona and picked up via text which is a great benefit. You also receive a $40 breakfast credits for each person daily as part of your stay. Each suite is spacious, luxurious, has a walk-in shower and separate tub. Your bedroom, sitting spaces, are surrounded by floor to ceiling glass that you can fully close automatically for privacy if you so choose. Wonderful place, top notch in every aspect. read more

From arrival, the staff was on it, making everything happen effortlessly. They will take you anywhere you would like to drop off/pick up. They were amazing!!! Ambiente is one of the most beautiful boutique hotel in Sedona. The attention to details and the sexy designs throughout with top notch quality materials is so appreciated. Worth every penny. I love the open glass windows and the rooftop where you can stars gazed. I love the sense of being with nature from your own room. Location is Close to many hiking trails and they have cars to drive you to town within 2 miles radius of the hotel. Luxurious linens and comfortable bed was a big win for me as I am a very sensitive sleeper. The attention to details and ensure your level of comfort are thoughtful, The all inclusive non alcoholic beverages and snacks in the room was a plus. Beautiful spa, small but again the most gorgeous interior design for the treatment room I have everseen. The spa locker room is a bit strange with a toilet inside without an enclosure. They only have one sauna outside and no shower unless you arrange with the desk. I also tried the oxygen bath...not exactly sure what it did except to feel like just soak in a bath tub :) my therapist was nice but feel green, she did her job and check in for pressure but didn't really deliver and addressed my issue. I was very tired from my early morning hike and felt asleep yet my awareness I know my massage felt like it was rubbing oil or a lotion application instead of a true therapeutic works. The restaurant could use some improvement with their cooking techniques as the food was just mediocre, lack of balance, flavor and strakbwas overcooked. I would leave the property for other food options on my next stay. Breakfast was fine, not a wowzer but it came with the stay so we are it, dinner were somewhat disappointed. Regardless we enjoyed our stay, LOVE and appreciate how attentive the guest services team are, and everyone delivered an above and beyond 5 star service and well run establishment. I went into our anniversary stay at Ambiente expecting to be a little let down--sometimes places just can't live up to the hype. I'm happy to say Ambiente not only met our expectations but exceeded them. The only disappointment had nothing to do with the resort itself. A nearby wildfire limited our hiking options, including the trail behind the hotel, and the smoke prevented us from enjoying the incredible stargazing Sedona is known for. It was definitely a bummer, but that's Mother Nature, not the hotel's fault. I guess I'll just have to come back to catch those stars another time. What truly sets Ambiente apart is the service. Hunter, Michael, and Mitchell were incredibly friendly, professional, and full of great recommendations while shuttling us around the property/town.  They were genuinely a pleasure to chat with. I wish I had written down the names of everyone else because the servers and housekeeping staff were equally outstanding. The attention to detail was remarkable. The moment we settled into our poolside chairs, someone brought us water, and throughout the day the staff regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. If anything, I almost felt too well taken care of. One tip for future guests: on our last evening, we asked if we could have dinner on the rooftop at sunset, and the staff happily accommodated us. Having a private dinner overlooking Sedona's stunning red rocks as the sun set was an unforgettable experience and the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary.   Small suggestion perhaps a small table and chairs on the roof so its easier to dine.  We were fine on the sofa lounge and side tables if slightly uncomfortable.  If I had to nitpick, the lighting controls took a little time to figure out. Once we did, it wasn't an issue, but the switches weren't especially intuitive. The hanging bedside lights were also a bit harsh on the eyes, though that's entirely a personal preference. We stayed in a Creekside Atrium room, and the only aspect I'd change is that our particular patio wasn't very private. The chairs and fire pit faced away from the creek and towards the pool making the outdoor space less inviting than we had expected.  Thankfully, we spent most of our time enjoying the rooftop instead, so it certainly wasn't a dealbreaker. If enough guests mention it, perhaps it's something the hotel can improve because everything else was exceptional. Finally, if you're planning a trip to Sedona, do yourself--and the local community--a favor. Even if you don't stay at Ambiente, book a hotel or resort and support the people who live and work there. The explosion of large-scale Airbnb ownership has made housing more difficult for locals and has contributed to the traffic that overwhelms Sedona during peak season. Supporting local hospitality businesses helps keep the community thriving. This was definitely a splurge but hoping to be back someday. read more

We are not patrons of the hotel, however, today we attended dinner at the hotel's restaurant, Forty1. The hotel entrance is stunning with beautiful signage as well as gorgeous hanging lanterns/decor.We are visiting during monsoon season and as we arrived it began to downpour. The hotel has valet parking who were waiting for us & promptly escorted us down to the restaurant via golf cart and we were given umbrellas. The staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly and attentive. We had an amazing dinner and the venue itself is absolutely stunning. We will be back, hopefully as guests go the hotel very soon. This was an amazing experience, from arrival to dinner to our couples massage this place did not disappoint, the rooms are like atriums with full views of the beauty that surrounds this hotel. Little fast flowing streams of water run through the hotel and is perfect for sitting outside next to the fire pit and enjoying the calming sound of water. The pool is heated and the have a great hot tub which is perfect for people looking to stay in the winter (it's open 24hrs) the on site restaurant is cool and has a great vibe. This is an adults only hotel and I greatly recommend it for a nice couples getaway. We will definitely be back, 10/10 read more

This is a review of the forty one restaurant, not the overall hotel. Overall this was a very good experience. We started with the artichoke hearts, pork belly, and mussels. The pork belly was the best, the artichokes were not my favorite(personally). I got the elk back strap for my main course and it was delicious. The potatoes that come with it were surprisingly good as well. The place was very pricey though. For dessert we got the churro and the peanut butter chocolate. Absolute perfection down to the details! The hubby and I fell in love with this wonderful hotel from the moment we stepped into the lobby. We were greeted by the most courteous man, Nic, who offered us champagne while we waited for someone to check us in. Edgar assisted with the seamless check-in process so we can be whisked away to our room. I was speechless when I entered the well-appointed room. The view was the room was breathtaking. The design and color palette were modern, dark and elegant. And of course there's an oversized stand alone tub that I wished I could take home! Oh they also have towel warmer which came in handy during the winter months. Every room has a fridge which is filled with amazing selection of soda, coconut water m, beer and sparkling tea. They also stocked the wet pantry with snacks and wine. Non-alcoholic beverages and snacks are included in the room rate and refreshed daily. Another great feature of this hotel is- everything is included so I don't feel like being nicked and dimed! Every room has their own private roof top. The view from the roof top is simply outstanding. You can see all the red rocks around you. You can lounge comfortably on the super comfy love seat and turn on the fire pit. It's also fitted with fake grass to accommodate their fury guests. The room rate also included breakfast at their small and intimate restaurant, Forty 1. We had dinner there as well and the food was delicious. Each dish was carefully plated and packed with flavors! The mussels...is a must try. We had the scallops and filet; both outstanding. We also had their churros dessert which did not disappoint. The same goes for their breakfast; amazing food & service. We had the salmon and breakfast quesadillas. I LOVED both of their cold presses! The property itself is not very big but they do have the same amenities as the big resorts; pool, hot tub, spa, and a cute little sauna room (right outside the spa). They built in fake creek that goes thru the property to enhance the natural feel and sound. Yes, this hotel is pricey but I have to say they are worth it. We went up there for our anniversary and they sent us a little note and wine! Again that attention to detail is on point. One of the highlights of our stay was getting to drive one of the resort's cars (the LC500). Mike made this experience seamless, ensuring everything was perfect and being so supportive and kind throughout. And then there's Francisco, who elevated our mornings with exceptional breakfast service. He personally delivered our meals to our room every day and even found solutions when our room phone wasn't working to make sure we received everything promptly. His attention to detail really impressed us. Also, every single thing we ate was really good. Speaking of service, one moment stood out as an example of how far Ambiente's team will go to make guests happy. We asked about heating up some food, and instead of just suggesting a solution, someone came by with an entire microwave so we could heat up anything we wanted, anytime. Our stay at Ambiente was one to remember- So was breakfast at their semi private dining restaurant Forty1, which is the forty first cottage on their incredible property. This is a must stay for all...well 18 and over only and no pets which keeps this place clean and sexy! At night you get a well-lit aquatic vibe from the creeks and then pool area as well along with great music. They have yummy drinks and good food as you dine near the pool. We had a very conflicting experience at Ambiante. I really loved *almost* every aspect of our stay. Unfortunately our dining experience at the Forty1 restaurant left a completely horrible impression on us. The moment we arrived the valet, front desk concierge, and every person we encountered were absolutely amazing and kind and went above and beyond. We really didn't have to lift a finger with our luggage, doors were opened for us, etc. We loved the champagne they greeted us with, so much so we ordered a bottle for our room after our dinner. We had dining reservations at another restaurant off site, but after going to the hotel bar for drinks after arriving we discussed with the bartender about bar seating for dinner in case we decided to change our dinner plans. The restaurant manager was able to make a reservation for us in the restaurant. We were thrilled we didn't have to venture out for dinner, and appreciated they made room for us! Unfortunately this is where the experience went south. Upon arriving we sat at the bar until our table was ready. We watched as the servers came and went from the bar and there was one older woman waitress who was notably disgruntled and just seemed to be not very pleasant with the way she was communicating with other servers and the things she was saying we really didn't want to see or hear as paying guests. What was even more unfortunate is she ended up being our server. We gave her a chance and tried to disregard what we had seen and heard from her at the bar. Things started off great, but once our entrees came out we asked for some extra side sauces and an extra side of potatoes as I didn't care for the side that came with my steak. She became visibly annoyed by this request, so much so that she didn't come back to our table to check on us, only to deliver the sides which took a long time. She cleared our table, didn't say a word. She didn't bring our bill, nothing. She was non existent. We were so fed up we ended up getting up from our table and approaching the manager, Ryan, about our bill and about ordering the champagne to our room. We watched as the waitress became even more upset about this request. For the amount of money we spent to stay here, and the money we spent on our dinner, her service was absolutely shameful. Completely inappropriate and left a bad taste in our mouth about the entire experience. I'm shocked that she is even employed there. We can't be the only guests that she's behaved this way toward as it seemed to be her personality. Because of this, I would not recommend dining here. However the hotel itself and every person and staff member we encountered besides her, were outstanding. She was definitely the bad apple of the resort. Honestly I cannot say enough about our four night stay at Ambiente in Sedona. My husband and I loved it there! The room is comfortable and large. I personally loved the decor. The dark theme is very appropriate for this environment and it helps keep the rooms cooler, no doubt. My most significant reason for writing this review though is not only to help other traveler, but to recognize an employee that stood out to us by leaps and bounds. Her name is Emma and she is a server at breakfast. She is absolutely amazing and went the extra mile every day she was there. They have another female server, Brittany who needs a bit more training and needs to be more attentive to customer. They truly strive for excellence at this resort and the experience was top notch. The room was $2,039/night (+ tax) in the middle of July, off-season. When you are paying that much - which side note is more than what it costs to rent a multi-million dollar architectural marvel of a home nestled in the red rocks - your expectations are very high as well they should be. If it was a $500/night hotel, I wouldn't be writing this review, but it's not. It's 4x more than that. So, with that said, the staff is awesome. Zero complaints. Sure, you get some "free" crunchy snacks and non-alcoholic beverages daily. They also give you a $40 pp voucher daily for breakfast on site, with no charge for room delivery. The Lexus transportation within a 2 mile range also super convenient and saves you from paying Uber. Great. These save you maybe a hundo per day, so now you're at $1,900. The rooms are unique and well appointed, and the landscaping is gorgeous. Lots and lots of pluses for sure. However, there are definitely some serious minuses. The cocktails by the pool and in the restaurant are ridiculously expensive, most about $25-30. Dinner entrees are limited and several in the $70-80 range. The road can not be heard from inside the unit, but it is a constant distraction while trying to enjoy the rooftop deck (even during a 540a sunrise). Hint hint, that's why the fountains are on at the pool 24x7 and they installed the streams running throughout the property - to try to dampen road noise. The view from the room itself is just ok in probably 35 of the 41 units. Yes, you can see the tops of some red rocks but you can also see your neighbor, possibly the road, and the pool - and as someone else noted - it's all windows so unless you're a voyeur or enjoy the dark, you need to close the motorized black drapes at night or you're basically perched in a fishbowl for all to see. We also opted for the second highest priced room ($2k/night offseason, if you recall) and it hovered over the "Drifter" (their lunch kitchen, we were told) and its AC/vent units (sounded like a helicopter nearby 24x7), and the pool, with a speaker bolted on the bottom corner of our unit that played music that we could feel the bass from the majority of the day and into the evening. Overall, again, if it was $500/night I wouldn't be writing this review. My two cents (which is all I have left in my pocket, lol) is stay elsewhere. Don't be fooled by their very well-done social media presence. It's ridiculously over-priced and just simply not worth it. There are comparable hotels and really really nice airbnbs o' plenty very close by for a fraction of the cost. If you want the zen experience that Sedona delivers, this ain't for you. To Ambiente, good for you if you're able to sustain that price point, but I just can't believe you have many repeat customers given our experience of the place. read more

I think I've died and gone to heaven!! Ambiente is one of the most beautiful resorts I've ever seen. Nestled discreetly in the gorgeous red rocks of Sedona, this resort exudes all that is luxurious and sublime. Walking through the property was a treat! All of my senses were engaged. The views, the smells, the sounds, the tastes.... They've covered every base. I've truly never stayed anywhere that competes with this spectacular resort. My only complaint.... It's ending too soon! This is by far the best place I have stayed! The view from our room was so relaxing. All the employees were incredibly attentive. The food was great- especially the empanadas! I loved that we were able to get a driver to drop us off and pick us up from exploring Sedona. I barely wanted to leave our atrium it was so comfortable and scenic. The only other place I may opt to stay at if I return to Sedona would be their second property they are building! read more

Wow. Ambiente holds a special place in my heart. It doesn't get much better than this. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with the kindest staff eager to make this trip so special for me and my sister who's birthday it was. Our atrium had the most spectacular view I've ever had from a room. Words can't describe how stunning the view was. The room was gorgeous, new and smelt amazing. We were there on a Sunday, Monday Tues so we felt like we had the entire place to our selves! Food at Forty 1 was fantastic and I've been thinking about it since we left a few days ago. We had a spa day with an oxygen infused bath soak followed by massages and we both walked out so refreshed and felt amazing. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Everyone went above and beyond for us. Can't say enough good things about this place. Do it. You won't regret it. read more

My husband booked Ambiente as a surprise for my 40th birthday. It was an INCREDIBLE place down to the design of the property, views, details of the atriums, food, staff, and service. Breakfast on site was delicious, even the tap water and coffee is notably superb. Every guest that we ran into during our stay said the same thing, " this is the best place we've ever stayed." If you're on the fence about staying here, stop reading this & book now!! My bf and I just enjoyed a 2 night stay & it was a dream. Staff was super friendly & accommodating. Food was delicious. (the lunch menu was my personal fav. If you like more traditional/ simple options, the lunch menu will probably be your vibe.) Although the seared prawns on the dinner menu was my favorite dish overall. The atriums are beautiful (love the dark, moody feel) & the views of the red rocks are stunning. I live in Sedona and see the mountains all the time-- but the design of the atriums & large windows give you an experience I haven't seen anywhere else in town. The pool & hot tub are open 24 hours-- go at night to get a view of the stars. We hiked the adobe jack trail which is right outside the hotel and took it down to Soldier's Pass. A nice workout, but we were a bit too tired to walk back so we called the hotel & they picked us up within about 10 minutes. They even brought us cold waters. A nice touch! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay-- will definitely be back! read more

Wow, wow and wow. We came to celebrate Valentine's with my boyfriend this weekend and I cannot think of a more perfect place to relax and disconnect. The views are unmatched and you can enjoy the red rocks like no other place. I was told by one of the staff members that this place was 6 years in the making and I can see why. There's so much attention to detail and we loved every single choice that was made for the rooms. It's a moody and cozy feeling while being tucked in nature. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the fully stacked bar. However the highlight of our visit was the excellent service. Everyone was pleasant and welcoming. They have concierge ready to help you with anything you need but the coolest perk was the EV that's available to take you anywhere within 2 miles. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Breakfast is included and the selection was fantastic. At the end of our stay we didn't want to leave and both me and my boyfriend agreed this was the best hotel we've stayed at.
