Located in Desoto, Iowa. From the time I came in it was great customer service that made me feel like I was welcomed. It was a bar feel for sure and they had two rooms. The food was pretty amazing and I got the burger and wings. I started going in there everyday on my breaks. It always costs me no more than $25. Highly recommend for a good eat.

It was our first time in today. We shared a basket of fries and an order of buffalo wings. Both 10/10. Not only was the food spectacular, but our server, Morgan, was phenomenal. We loved her! Will definitely be back soon.

What a nice surprise we had stopping in here. Its small dont get me wrong but that was part of the fun. Its sits in a great spot and was easy to get to. We had great food and the atmosphere was fun. Because of the size you must expect/predict that it can and will get busy especially with this kind of food. I did see some people getting togo orders which would be a good idea if its during some busy hours. Plan ahead and give it a shot. Everything that we ordered was great.

    Pickle chips. Yummy.

This place was really a nice surprise. Great service. Great prices. The food was fresh to order and very tasty. A great value for what we got. Had a great time.

Stopped in here on the way back to the city. We had heard good reviews and decided we needed to try for ourselves. We showed up on a weeknight around 7:30. The place was mostly full with very few tables that fit 4 people. If the weather was nicer we did see a patio option. 1 bartender running around trying to help everyone. She was obviously overwhelmed which was understandable. Food was ok. Only worth stopping if you are in town.

Chili burger with plenty o cheese

This small town has a gem of a restaurant that appeals to all with unique menu items that will blow you away yet have you wanting to return to try out more of their inventive menu. I'm a massive fan of how they treat everyone like family here. Their chili burger is made with such attention to every detail that it makes it out to be a sandwich standout. Typically any chili sandwich could be made into a pile but here they toast the bun, give you burger that seems smoked and well cooked to perfection.. alongside some optional onion and cheese they then stack it with such precision topping off the burger tower with the perfect chili topping above. If you can keep it looking nice and elegant - you have a gift. After a bite you won't care who's watching.. you'll be turned into a forever fan of this restaurant... just don't forget to order the fried corn nugget appetizer and tip the wait staff well. They bust a bump just for you!!

    Tenderloin with tots(-6 or so)

Stopped for a to go order of the tenderloin and tots. Person who took order was talking to someone else while to be taking my order. I arrived bartender continued conversation while I stood waited after I was acknowledged of picking up to go. Seemed to struggle with the bill. Generous portion of tots. Tenderloin was medium/large, lightly breaded and taste was rather blah. Bun was buttered and griddled. I'd suggest another menu item of stop.

I love that when you drive up, you can see all the greens growing inside. We placed our order, then had a quick chat with the friendly young man at the window. But there wasn't much time for conversation because as promised, we got the world's freshest salads. It was so quick. We got home an opened up our salads and they looked amazing. My husband got the southwest salad and I got the Caesar salad. They were both delicious. Everything was incredibly fresh and so tasty. We really liked the Salad Girl dressings as well. I'm super picky about salads, and if it's not fresh, then I'm not interested. This was easily the best salad I've ever had. My Mother has been having their lettuce delivered practically since the beginning and I am always impressed with the freshness and flavor. Unfortunately, their facilities tours were not available during our visit, but I'd love to take the tour sometime. I will be insisting on visiting Clayton Farms Salads every time we visit Ames.

We ordered a Caesar Wrap w/chicken, Chicken Pesto w/no cherry tomatoes, Firehouse Chimichurri w/steak and no cherry tomatoes, Chocolate Smoothie, and Farmer's Punch. For starters, all of the produce was fresh and crisp (which is always a plus), but you can tell that meat is not their forte. The chicken tasted as if it were precooked, frozen chicken (not saying that's a bad thing, just didn't seem as if it was freshly cooked), and the steak was full of almost inedible gristle. The overall flavor of the food was pretty lackluster as well, besides on the Chicken Pesto; the balsamic vinaigrette was very overpowering. The Caesar Wrap was large, but the sandwiches were quite small portion-wise. The Chocolate Smoothie tasted more like a green smoothie with chocolate protein powder, and we had a really hard time keeping it mixed; sadly, we didn't finish it :( The Farmer's Punch, on the other hand, was really good! Service: The service wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The person who greeted us was friendly, but not particularly social, if that makes sense? It almost seemed as if they didn't have enough time for us. They were polite and quick with getting our order to us, though. Ambiance: Inside is quite small and not meant for a dine-in experience; there are no tables at all. This is definitely a pick-up/to-go/drive-through type of establishment. It's kept very clean, though, from what we could see.

They were really excited of the idea of this place that had just opened on the town square. You can get dressed up and make a reservation or you can wing it like we did. We walked in, fingers crossed on an early Saturday evening. We had five in our group. The hostess stands at a repurposed single record player. She asked if we had a reservation and made it work when we told her we did not. She asked if we preferred the bar or table and we said whatever was available. She grabbed some help and they threw a table together for us. Kudos for getting us in. The decor is dark with this lovely warmth to it. The red and white brick on the walls was exposed in the renovation contrasting the black walls and ceiling. No noisy televisions. All the staff are dressed dressed as if it was an upscale restaurant. The bartenders were classy and busy shaking up the drinks. You don't have to dress up to get in, but you definitely could and no one bats an eye either way. The waiter quickly came and brought waters for the table, but also took drink orders. Everyone ordered a different drink off the drink menu. Mocktails, beers, cocktails, wine. It's all available. He came back with drinks and reviewed the nightly appetizer specials with us. We were all excited we got a big mix of things to try across the table. Drinks: Our friend who ordered the Old old fashion. He said it was one of the top 3 best he has ever had. My girl friend ordered the Mulberry Lane and really enjoyed it. I tried the Cosmic Cotton Candy and loved the tart flavorful drink. Food. 10 out of 10. Nothing disappointed! We were blown away! Appetizer special that night of Brussels sprouts. Big shareable helping. Fantastic flavor with a great glaze. The tenderness of the sprout made them so easy to devour. I loved the little bit of crunch they had on the outside. Appetizer Fajita Egg Rolls! Grilled chicken. "I've never had chicken eggs rolls" my friend kept saying over and over. "They are nothing to bawk at." I say. Flavored with bell peppers, again spices and topped with a delectable pineapple salsa. The presentation of the plate was very pretty and we had no problem devouring them as well. Appetizer Poutine Americana: We got all the appetizers to come out with the regular meals and I think our friend went feral as he guarded his plate to try and keep these for himself. Buffalo fries smothered in gravy. Topped with braised bison, and their beer battered cheese curds. He finally let me try a little, and wow no wonder he was trying to fight off his wife from the plate. The Native was the burger platter ordered by my husband. Now don't take this lightly. It is a mouth watering 1/3 lbs buffalo. My husband tried to trick me and tell me that I wouldn't enjoy it, but once I got my half I didn't put it down. The spices they used with the flavor of the buffalo meat was a burger wet dream. He upgraded and got the cheese curds with his burger and the whole table was just head over heels for these cheese curds. They are like curds we have never had anywhere! Yes they are beer battered. When the menu says they are puffy, they are not lying! It was so light and fluffy and we just loved every little nibble. We are so glad we ordered the way that we did. Trying so many different things all in one sitting. Everyone was blown away. So much so I am ready to make the trip back out from Des Moines just to steal my girlfriend for the night so we can try more! I cant believe how excited we were over this food. We finally filled up and calmed down by watching the bartenders work their magic on drinks. Constantly moving back and forth, filling orders. I am so excited for Adel to have this place. It's got class, but wont turn you away. It's got the cool dark atmosphere so you can have a quiet dinner with friends and build up those relationships. The staff was great, and everyone had a great time. I highly recommend you get in there. If not just for a drink, but a meal too.

The ambiance was mixed, one corner was a cute date night the other corner was crying children. All dimly lit and outdated decor. The whole experience was off, I ended up leaving after my one drink and salad. I hope to give this place a second chance sometime but hope they aren't out of dishes and I can get a trained server.
