Good Authentic Buddha veggies restaurant under Avatamsaka Sagely Monastery Temple, veggie dishes cannot use any kind of onion, garlic, shallot, leek, chive to cook. Great ambient, great services, Dinner very tasty & delicious colorful dishes. I would recommend anyone come to give it a try.... I give it 5 stars because this is the first 100% Authentic Buddha Tasty Chinese foods.

Very expensive! I ordered two dishes and it costed me almost $30! The portion is small. Most important it tasted awful.

Everything about this place is top notch: the food, the vibe, and the people. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about vegan food and made fantastic recommendations. The hot pot was hands down the best curry I've ever tasted. The sauce had this gorgeous brightness and depth that made every bite unforgettable. The yam fries with miso gravy were exceptional, and the peanut sauce with the tofu satay was absolute perfection. The dinner ambiance was lovely and cozy and you can tell the servers genuinely enjoy their jobs. That kind of positive energy makes the whole experience even better. If you're in Calgary, vegan or not, The Coup is a must visit. Phenomenal food, phenomenal service, phenomenal atmosphere.

It's a great place for a date because you can walk around the area afterwards and get drinks, dessert, or shop. We shared the gyoza and the mushroom nigiri, which were both okay. I had the coup salad which was perfect and had a delicious dressing. It really hit the spot! I also had rosemary sweet potatoes which were perfectly cooked and were served with a vegan aioli which paired well with the sweet potatoes. My husband had the shawarma which was also delicious. I would definitely recommend this place!

Since then, I've worked my way through almost their entire vegetable menu, and every single dish stands out in its own way--creative, flavorful, and far beyond anything you'd expect from vegetables. The thoughtful combinations of textures, sauces, and cooking techniques make each plate feel unique and absolutely delicious. And the desserts are the perfect finale. The butterscotch pudding, in particular, was unforgettable--rich, comforting, and truly divine. The servers are extra nice and accommodating. Would highly recommended it.

But there were so many positive reviews that I had to try Ten Foot Henry and wow am I sure glad that I did! This place could really curb my meat craving and it checks ALL of the boxes- great service, cool vibes, and delicious food. I LOVE that they have half servings and that everything is can easily be shared. I mean a non-Asian restaurant which encourages family style?!? SOLD! I had the half order of marinated beets with ghanoush, salted ricotta, and cured zucchini. The waiter had recommended the eggplant and broccolini which I'm dying to try the next time I'm in town. I enjoyed the tuna crudo but I wish I got the seared scallops. My half order of gigli pasta was wonderful and more than enough food. Every bit is equally seasoned and I actually had some leftovers! The value of what you get versus what you pay is in our favor by a landslide. And when converting it from CAD to USD, I feel like I won the lottery. I need to go back with others to try more dishes!! This place gets packed so make a reservation in advance if you can.

They should provide a 2nd sauce. We ordered the sweet and sour pork, which came with white steamed rice which we liked since most places you have to order rice separately, but the cubes of pork were so small, lean and quite dry and the carrots tasted old. We ordered the phingsha which was overpriced for what it was. Portion size was very small, the beef was dry and chewy. We would like to come back and try some other items, but we weren't overly impressed with our choices other than the chicken momos

Our food was prepared quickly (20 minutes), packed efficiently(i.e. remained hot and intact in their containers without any leakage), and was ready for hubby to pick up when he arrived. #3. Momo Platter($16): these are definitely our favourites(we prefer them steamed)! The platter includes 4 beef, 2 vegetable, and 2 tofu momos that should be eaten with their homemade chili oil sauce. #25. Chicken Gyathuk($14): this is like a chicken ramen with bits of vegetables in a flavourful broth. The chicken is shredded/torn and very tender. #26. Beef Thenthuk($14): this soup hits the spot and is so comforting on a chilly day like today. I love the thick, chewy hand pulled pasta which reminds me of the Xi'an biang biang noodles. So, in response to Jonny M., I'm sorry that you were disappointed, but these noodles are not like Chinese la mian! #27. Beef Mokthuk($16): what can we say? This soup is another winner! There are plenty of beef dumplings in this bowl for three to share!

The restaurant was pretty spacious and not very busy on a Saturday late afternoon. The place however was a little warm inside, maybe the AC wasn't working as they had some fans on. Being a vegetarian, I have had a hard time getting pho that's flavorful but the chefs here have magic in their hands, they have put so much heart and effort in packing so much flavor in their broths! The Pad Thai was also delicious: it missed one thing: crushed peanuts which we usually get at Thai restaurants. The restaurant has a very calm and peaceful auto to it!!! Full of large plants and a meditation area, it's a nice getaway from the corporate hustle outside. The place closes at 8, so reach early.
