Good Authentic Buddha veggies restaurant under Avatamsaka Sagely Monastery Temple, veggie dishes cannot use any kind of onion, garlic, shallot, leek, chive to cook. Great ambient, great services, Dinner very tasty & delicious colorful dishes. I would recommend anyone come to give it a try.... I give it 5 stars because this is the first 100% Authentic Buddha Tasty Chinese foods.

Very expensive! I ordered two dishes and it costed me almost $30! The portion is small. Most important it tasted awful.

Early this month , our oldest son treated my husband & I to the Grey Eagle Prime Rib supper buffet…read more. We were surprised the lineup went pretty fast . There was a game show event : The Price is Right which we were also treated to . On event days , they do not take reservations for dinner at the buffet . We were early at 5 pm and it was about 10 min wait . The buffet was hot and fresh and my Prime Rib was excellent! Juicy , medium rare and so tender ! The guys went back and had second helpings ! We enjoyed the sides offered and the Yorkshire Puddings were huge . The desserts were good selections and small portions so you could try several . Service was excellent and we enjoyed our dinner out very much prior to the show .

I stayed at Grey Eagle to attend a concert, and the experience overall was good. The hotel check in…read morewas quick, and the hallway was fairly quiet and room was comfortable and clean. There was an issue where it wasn't secure with someone who was not a guest on a floor and making guests feel uncomfortable. Once it was shared with hotel staff, they removed the person from the hotel, but they did not inform us so that is something that could have been improved. The restaurant by the hotel had great food and service, and it wasn't too busy during the day. It was busy for the evening rush, but I still felt the noise level was reasonable. The casino was cramped, busy and smoky for a Sunday evening. I didn't like the layout much. But they do provide free help yourself coffee in the morning. The event centre wasn't crowded, and easy to get to our seats. We had first row and I found it was quite close to the stage. I didn't have a drink, but the line ups weren't too long. There are bathrooms in the event centre, but we went in the casino as it was closer and no line up there.

was rather disappointing experience. took almost 45 mins to get our meal from the time we ordered…read moreit and when it arrived it was luke warm at best if not cold. The "baked" potato was microwaved vs actually baked And it was so cool that the butter I put on it didn't melt. Ordered a side of garlic prawns and got 3 small unflavored shrimp instead that were maybe an inch long if you stretched it out. my sons fries were undercooked (some weren't even golden, they were still potato white) And said some of them were kinda crunchy/stiff. I had the owners cut of prime rib and it was smaller than the last two times I had been to smugglers where I ordered a smaller cut (first mate) And it was cold, even the au jus was barely warm. Also probably the smallest Yorkshire pudding I've ever had there. Maybe 1/3 the size you use to get. We ordered desert and it took newly 30 mins for it to be brought out - my son's "warm" apple krisp was cold he said. i have been smugglers at least A dozen times in the last 3 years and more so in the last decade and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. In both service and quality. As it stands I would not recommend - where as before I always raved about the smugglers inn. For a $400+ bill for myself and my 3 kids, I def expected way better quality, actual warm food and not have to wait a combined time of over an hour for service. It was also my son's birthday, and he found the experience very disappointing and said he never wants to go back. When we booked we said it was a birthday, we mentioned it was his birthday and the server didnt even say happy birthday to him. Oh and it wasn't even that busy when we got there... there was maybe 10 costumers when we arrived. I might try it again due to past visits being great. But another experience like tonight and I'll probably take my prime rib expeditions else where. I doubt my kids will ever go back as the complained how horrible it was the entire drive home. I usually don't give a lot of reviews but it was such a sub-par experience I had to report it.

Parking was pretty full but we managed to snag a spot. The place was busy but not too loud. While the server did ask us if we were celebrating anything, there wasn't really anything done that made out time there special. We started with the Marrow and Escargot and shared a 12oz Prime Rib with lobster tail and Creme Brulee for dessert. The food was okay, not sure if it was worth the price of admission. Server was fine, but not memorable. We were disappointed in the experience as this used to be our go to (bi-monthly) dinner place before the ownership change.

Stayed 2 blocks away on Thanksgiving weekend for a hockey tournament. So glad we hopped on Yelp…read moreand found this local gem that's been around for 30+ years. We were able to walk here from our hotel for some late night post hockey Chinese. And boy oh boy, it did not disappoint. First off, when we walked in the door they had Halloween decorations up - WINNER WINNER! We were blown away by some of the menu options. For example, I grew up in Seattle with Moo shu pork but here they offered different meat varieties. Their dessert menu also had things I had never seen before in a Chinese restaurant - candied bananas, candied apples, etc. We didn't have room for dessert but I would definitely try it next time! Hubs and kiddo loved the ginger beef! The server was super nice and brought us some calamari to try after I heard another customer raving about it! She told us that regulars often have one order in the restaurant and one to go because it is so popular! The service was outstanding and the food was GREAT! Plus they are open super late every night! Two thumbs way up!!!

The best Chinese food in Calgary and well located in the downtown 11th avenue location. The food was served fast and hot by Lisa our server and fun as well. Overall I rate this restaurant as a 10 but only allowed a 5 here. Sam stopped by to chat for a minute, what a host! We will be back for sure.

The pride of Calgary & the best Filipino dishes we've had in a long time! Thank you Lee, AteV, Jek…read moreand crew, and dear friend V for the recommendation. Round1 - After arrival at YYC, we drove straight to Bo Fiesta and had kare2, tulingan gata in banana leaves, menudo and lumpiang Shanghai - all 5*s - freshly cooked as you order. Of course with rice (lol), these are not salty nor greasy, the plating and presentation on point, and decent pricing. We had a non-Filipino in our group and she loved all esp the menudo. The Hospitable and very nice owners Lee ( with sister AteVilma) have us try the superb very tasty and crunchy Krispy Pata (their best seller) pancit bihon-mike, veg lumpia with ubod, capped with desserts halo-halo and turon with langka (jackfruit) and sorbetes. Ooohh la la! We were a party of 4, and all gave rave reviews and 5**; it was hard to pick one fave dish. All the dishes we tried are now favorites esp with the generous serving portions and decent pricing. BF as our first stop from YYC airport on a first time visit to Calgary didn't disappoint. We stayed for couple of days did our touristic rounds of Jasper, Banff, the Lakes & Calgary. Time to fly back to the US, and had to make another stop at BF en route to YYC. Lol can't get enough. This 2nd round, we had bangus sisig, pork sisig, palabok, fried and garlic rice. The dessert is the decadent Bilo bilo with ube halaya! Freshly made, all the ingredients are prepared in their own kitchen. Like the halo2, they make their own pang "mix", ie no store-bought OTC sweets laden with syrup. We love the tulingan gata sardines type (you can eat the bones) so much we ordered to go! Frozen and nicely packed leak proof (checked-in inside our suitcase ), it sailed thru the US customs with no hitch. The nice Filipiniana decor and ambiance, with karaoke nite on Friday and live band on Saturday is a treat. Love love your healthy live plants!!! Highly recommend!!! Thank you again Lee & AteV, the friendly and attentive Jek our server, your amazing crew esp the Chef of 22 yrs at BF. The BF Chef is from Pampanga, the culinary capital of decadent and native Filipino cuisine. Until our next visit ....
