I'm not a big movie goer. Maybe because it's the crowds and annoying patrons that talk and use their cell phones during the show. This was the first movie I've gone to since moving to Phoenix. I was impressed with this AMC location. It is huge with 20 plus theaters. I loved the large leather electric recliners with leg rests. That was a nice surprise. Seats and floors were clean. You can reserve your seat ahead of time online which guarantees exactly where you want to watch the flick. The sound system is top-notch with the kind of bass that vibrates the walls and floors. We went to an 11AM 3D showing and there were only four other people in the theater. The 3D was rad with objects that floated right in front of you. We had the whole place to ourselves- pretty awesome. There's a large concession stand and digital soda machines that you can choose your drink with free refills. Also, you'll find a small bar to grab a drink before or after the movie. For those that are big movie goers you may want to join their Stub club. For $19.95 a month you'll get discounts on food and you can see up to three movies a week. Pretty good deal. I look forward to going back again sooner than later. read more

Nothing like getting to the movies early... Buying your ticket... Walking in and looking for that perfect spot to sit... Sitting down and settling in to enjoy a great movie... Then 5 minutes after the movie starts some assholes come up and tells you that you are in his seat... Because its assigned seating now... He says he bought his tickets online last night. Love the remodel with comfy reclining chairs. We always get a beer before going in & have great service at the bar. There is self check out for movie tickets, which a lot of guests don't know how to use. This can create a slow moving line at guest services. read more

We went to see Mr. Rogers. The movie started at 4:30PM. Irritated at the self-serve ticket stations and then you still stand in line for that and for someone to scan your ticket. The self-serve concession is even worse. You order and again, still stand in line for your number to be called to get your order. The drink area is filthy dirty and behind the counter where the employees are is equally as dirty. We got a drink around 4:20 PM and saw how dirty the area was. Walked by after movie and it was still dirty with popcorn, straw wrappers and napkins on the floor. The bathrooms were also filthy. This theater is cool!!! We didn't realize this was AMC and inadvertently brought our Harkins cups. They still allowed us to use them for free water, and they have the self-serve soda machines like fast-food restaurants do. You get to choose your seats before you go in, and the theaters have recliners! All I need now is a quilt from home (but then I'd probably fall asleep)! read more

In a nutshell, this is why I would NOT recommend coming to this theater. 1. Poor Air Conditioning- The theaters have been hot during most of the movies I've seen here. Asking management to turn down the A/C did little to resolve the issue. It seems like this is an ongoing problem. 2. Long Lines - We waited 15 minutes to pick up our tickets we already purchased online. There was no separate line for online buyers to rush through just to print their tickets. If they did create one, they do a poor job of identifying it and there was no person to direct us to it. 3. Kicking People Out of Seats - I have to routinely kick people out of our reserved seats because guests were not properly informed about the reserved seating system in my opinion. 4. Delayed Screening Times - I'm not referring to the movie. I'm referring to the previews not starting on time. During one occasion, we had to tell management to turn the projectors on because it was 30 minutes past the movie time and the previews didn't even start. Yes, that actually happened. read more

Where do I start! Nothing better than a warm flat coke with no ice! As I sat in the 103 degree theater and enjoyed my flat coke with no ice watching a Disney classic in a recliner that doesn't recline I questioned every reason why I choose to spend my hard earned money on that mess! Review of AMC THEATER AMC has just finished a remodel of this theater. Who ever had the idea to make the changes that were made, needs to walk in as a paying guest so they can see the big mistake they made. 1. Walking in and expecting the guest to understand how to use the automated system 2. Thinking the guest will realize they will have to pick their seat 3. Walking in to the theater and realizing the seat they picked is wrong and thinking that the people sitting in the seat they want will just move. 4. Went to Finding Dory on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., it was so hot in Theatre 12! We complained and it never improved! The seats were great, but we stuck to them. This has become the dirtiest theatre I have ever been to. On top of that this is a pretty nice area where you would think that this would not be put up with. The outside concession area is so dirty with popcorn and trash everywhere. Over the past six months the staff has been diminished so much with the new automated concessions ordering. There is very little staff to address anything. But they do have a bar with $15 drinks. I have been bringing my family here for about 25 years and now we are going to try some other theaters that are a little farther away probably Harkins even though they do not have the recliners but hopefully cleaner and better staffed. Decided to give AMC a try instead of Harkins and now I know why I don't like AMC.....dirty, disgustingand lousy customer service. If you want a clean family experience, DON'T go to this theater. When you first walk in the kid scanning tickets had no clue was he was doing and couldn't even stand up to do the job and didn't bother to say which theater to go to. The floor everywhere was covered in popcorn and garbage, especially behind the counter. Restrooms were dark and dirty with garbage overflowing and sinks backed up. I got my opening night Star Wars tickets from the movie theater last month .. unfortunately after I got my popcorn and snacks , sat down and was ready to watch the movie a family came in and said I was sitting in their seats so we checked and we had the same seats ..ugh !! So we went to find the manager who wasn't very impressive or helpful his response was oh well it's just stars wars and I'm going to leave it up to you to figure it out .. yeah thanks buddy !! As we argued another couple came out and had the same seats as well .. Fun afternoon at the movies. Comfy lounge chairs that recline. Over head lights on during previews and needed to go find staff to turn off lights when the main feature started. We have been going to this theatre for 4 years because it's close and convenient. We always thought it'd be nice if the seats went back and were more comfortable. This year they totally redid this place and now the seats are SO comfortable. They go all the way back and they have done a total face lift on this place. Great remodel. Nice comfy reclining chairs. Reserve seating with advance ticket order (at least for the theatre we saw a movie in). Only recommendation is for the bar inside the theatre. Obscure and crazy expensive pricing is something to be expected I guess, but the time they take to prepare your drink makes it seem like they think you're there to hang out instead of get a drink for your movie. Premiere membership is a waste. Husband and I figured out how to plug in our seats since often they are not functioning because they were unplugged. We hate having to plan a night or day trip to the movies here. But its easy to set up online. The costs just for a soda and popcorn is insane if you go regularly especially for a date night and then a weekend visit with our three kids. The bathrooms are stinky and always a mess, the soda machines are constantly out of something we want, so we go searching other machines for a soda we wanted. Premiere lines are a joke. Seriously those lines are almost comical. The alcohol option is a joke with older drunk retirees acting like privileged lush asshats. No one else seems to indulge in it...I havent so I cant say its worth if of not. So, those Spontaneous fun trips to see a movie are long gone. You cant just go and grab a movie since the seat selection totally makes it a waste of time trying. We are pretty sure AMC doesnt care about its patrons because they certainly do not invest in training employees or making sure our experience is a good one. I wish we lived closer to the Harkins. But we love the movies so we keep going but it is something we no longer truly enjoy at AMC anymore. read more

Great seats reclining very comfy, only complaint is the CONCESSIONS line, a joke really a PRIORITY LINE who gets served first with only 1 person taking and filling orders at 5 p.m. show, they are completely missing out, skipped the popcorn altogether!!
