I've came here many times and the last three times I was there she had a bad attitude and was very stand offish like she was better then. I genuinely want to like Bleachers. I live in Ahwatukee, I enjoy the establishment, and I've had good experiences there when certain staff members are working. Unfortunately, my repeated experiences with Valerie have gotten to the point where I feel ownership needs to be aware of it. On multiple occasions while Valerie was bartending, I noticed drinks on my tab that were not mine. Whether this was carelessness or a mistake, it has happened enough times that I now feel like I have to carefully check my bill whenever she serves me. That alone is incredibly frustrating. Beyond that, Valerie has consistently been rude, disrespectful, dismissive, and easily flustered during my interactions with her. I even had another bartender mention to me that Valerie apparently doesn't like me because there was an occasion when I didn't tip her. For context, I regularly tip bartenders and service staff. I made the decision to stop tipping Valerie specifically because of the way I have repeatedly been treated by her. At this point, the difference in my experience at Bleachers depending on whether Valerie is working is night and day. When she isn't behind the bar, I genuinely enjoy coming here. When she is, I already know what kind of service I'm likely going to receive. What makes this even more disappointing is that I've spoken with other people around Ahwatukee who have independently described having issues with a bartender at Bleachers who is "always rude" or "always in a bad mood." That tells me my experience may not be an isolated one. Valerie, if you happen to read this, understand that the way you treat customers directly affects how people view the entire establishment. Bartending is a customer-service position, and customers shouldn't feel like they are an inconvenience simply for ordering a drink. Bleachers ownership, please do better. You have an establishment with a lot of potential, and I actually enjoy coming here. But consistently poor service from select bartenders can ruin the reputation of an otherwise good neighborhood bar. I gave Bleachers Sports Grill in Ahwatukee multiple chances because I really wanted to like it, but each visit was worse than the last. After the first bad experience, I came back thinking maybe it was just a one-off, but unfortunately the second visit was just as disappointing. The customer service was honestly terrible both times. One visit, we waited over 20 minutes just to have our order taken, and when it finally was, I was told the staff had eaten my cookie because they thought the order was placed as a joke. I genuinely couldn't believe it. Then it took another 40 minutes for my Pazooki to come out. The second time, they completely forgot one person's food at our table. We reminded them multiple times, and the food still never came out. On top of that, the servers were almost impossible to find the entire time even just to get drink refills. We actually would've ordered more drinks and more food, but there was never anyone around to help us. The cleanliness was honestly the most concerning part of the whole experience. The restaurant felt dirty and poorly maintained to the point where I'm genuinely shocked the Health Department hasn't stepped in. It made the entire experience feel uncomfortable and unsanitary. I've had some good experiences there in the past, but there have been multiple occasions where my experience has been completely different when Valerie is working behind the bar. On several visits, I've dealt with extremely long wait times, frustration, and unnecessary rudeness simply when trying to place an order. I understand that bartenders and servers may have regular customers they know well, and I have no problem with employees having good relationships with their regulars. However, every customer deserves to be acknowledged, treated with respect, and provided the same level of service, regardless of whether they come in every week or are visiting for the first time. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience when Valerie is working. There have been multiple occasions where I've felt ignored, dismissed, or as though I was bothering her simply by trying to order a drink. After experiencing this repeatedly, it becomes incredibly frustrating and makes you question why you would continue spending your money somewhere you don't feel welcomed. What concerns me even more is that this seems to be an ongoing issue. I've heard similar complaints from other people about the customer service and attitude they've experienced. At some point, when the same type of feedback continues to come from multiple customers, management and ownership need to take notice and address it. I've worked in management for years, including at a very high level, and one of the things I have always emphasized is the importance of guest service and treating every customer with respect. Employees are a direct representation of the business, and one bad interaction can absolutely affect whether someone chooses to return. It's really unfortunate because Bleachers could be a great neighborhood establishment, but repeated experiences like these can drive customers away. Sat down at one of the cool booths in the bar area. Didn't get service for at least 10 minutes, places is maybe 30% full. She was rude right away, obviously didn't want to be there. We ordered 2 tall Coors Lights. They were room temp and completely flat, and from experience, I could taste and tell they hadn't cleaned their draft lines in some time. After looking around we noticed everyone else had bottled beer. We let her know there was something wrong with these beers and just asked for 2 bottles instead. She didn't believe us that was obvious. Being she rarely stopped at our table we tried to order a couple apps, while ordering she rolled her eyes and said "geez hold on". She left and never came back, so we left. Used to like this place a lot. Never coming back. I fully understand this is a business, but the way these rules were suddenly applied felt targeted and personal rather than professional. What crossed the line was when Valerie called me a "bum" and a "low life." No customer should ever be spoken to that way, regardless of circumstances. That language alone was shocking and unacceptable, especially coming from someone in a position of authority behind the bar One night in particular stands out. A visibly drunk female customer initiated an argument with me and put her hands on me. I did not escalate the situation. Despite this, Valerie immediately took the other customer's side without addressing her behavior at all. The woman faced no consequences, while Valerie continued to talk down to me and threatened to call the police on me even though I was not the aggressor and had done nothing wrong. I was told to leave, while the person who started the confrontation was allowed to stay. That made it very clear that fairness and accountability were not being applied evenly. I want to note that the morning bartender generally behaves much more professionally and treats customers without prejudice, which shows this is not an issue with the bar as a whole, but with specific staff members and how they choose to treat people. Bartender busy, no servers, we step at the patio and poor server dealing with two obnoxious dudes as she's trying to walk away multiple times. Finally she's able to walk away and addresses us. Their menu is large ! We have made it our mission to try everything on there because everything sounds so delicious, our favorite so far is the queso dip(add the ground beef!!) and the Tex mex wrap! My family and I decided to try Bleachers for take out tonight. My husband ordered a burger medium I had a Cobb salad. Service was great very friendly order as taken well. Got there couldn't find anyone to help get my order literally had to chase down the only waitress apparently working. That's about where it ended for us. Everything was ok at this point. Got home my husband went to eat his burger and it was legit cold and raw! My salad had rotten lettuce in it and just looked overall blah. My daughter wings were cooked but to the point they were almost cremated like crunchy nasty. My favorite sports bar in Ahwatukee area. There are so many options on the menu where you can be craving anything and find something to eat. Out of all the restaurants I've been to lately, the prices are very reasonable and lower than most. The servers are always great and friendly here. The burgers are a solid choice, but my favorite meal is the Cheddar Crusted Chicken. The dish comes with potatoes and a choice of veggies. The corn and green beans are always delicious. Atmosphere is good to watch games- not a lot of big TV's in the dining area, however, there are a handful of TV's in the bar. They have a lot of weekly deals and happy hours so I recommend checking that out before you go. Exterior makes this look like such a small place, but it is pretty good size and comfortable when you get inside. read more

This place is FIRE!!! We came CRAVING french fries, and even though we arrived around 20 minutes before the kitchen closed, they still made us our food happily! We did end up having to wait a long time to get the food but that's only because the kitchen was out of fries. Bleachers in Ahwatukee Don't pay in cash. They'll pocket it and tell you "you're drunk, you didn't pay" and charge your friend for the entire bill you just paid in cash on her credit card...then, they will demean, condescend, gaslight you and call you names and "broke" for wanting to get your money back. The "manager" has never called us back and the only people who have "researched" this for us is the bartender herself and her friend. 12 days, no call back, and now being threatened by the bartender. I've been going to this bar fairly regularly for about a year now, especially because it's close to home, the food is great, and the service decent. However, there are a few female bartenders that have been fairly rude, and not just once. On this occasion, I lost a beautiful bracelet there on 2/11, (Saturday night), and when I realized it was gone upon returning home, I called the bar to notify them to please be on the lookout for it. I knew Bleachers was closed and the two people on staff were in process of doing their closing tasks, but I had to call five times before someone finally answered, letting the phone ring at least ten times on each call before it was disconnected. I also know they have caller ID, so they knew who was calling. I received a persnickety response from the woman that finally answered, telling me that they were closed. Right. I knew that, and would only have called for a decent reason, which in this case was to alert them of my loss. Other than the two persons on staff, nobody else has been rude or disrespectful, but there have been times where me and a girlfriend have experienced this attitude from both parties. Neither of us has been rude to either of them! And they should remember that reputations and decency go much further than rude treatment!
