My first time at this theater. I'm trying a bunch of different AMC theaters to see which one I like the most. I felt this one was nice inside. Easy to get tickets on the app and then make my way to the theater. Restrooms were clean. Theater had recliners which is my favorite. It's the reason why I would come here rather than go to the one closer to work. I think all of the theaters here at this location have recliners. Overall it was pretty good. Parking was a little bit tight because it is very much a surrounded by many other businesses. But otherwise pretty good! This place is definitely in the top running for the AMC theaters in the Phoenix area. read more

The employees were great today but AMC concession kiosk process is terrible. Ordering through the kiosks and then having to wait for someone to call your number 20 minutes in, holding our purchases hostage does not make us want to come back. We wanted to use a gift card to buy water and it took way too much time. Vending machines for fountain drinks and water would be much better. read more

Our favorite local theatre. Staff is friendly. Clean as much as can be. Snack area definitely has fallen off since reopening from Covid. Lack of adequate staffing and not having a full menu constantly. Cut backs on portions don't justify increase in pricing. read more

Located right off the freeway in a large strip mall of businesses this is a great location. I joined the AMC Stub monthly subscription program and I find it to be really handy. I like being able to go to any AMC and book a ticket well in advance. This location has many theaters, but most don't label what show is playing in what theater so you need to check your ticket for sure! Theaters themself are clean and all having reclining seats. Theater screens are good and the sound for action movies is great. Only downside is they are out of a LOT of their food options. Absolutely terrible. Came here to enjoy a family movie with my two disabled kids only to leave crying because my children were asked to step out because they were "a disturbance" every child in that theater was laughing and making noise and moving around. It's a kids movie what do you expect.... But the lady came up to me and told me they couldn't stand up and be loud. One of my children have autism and was only excited about the movie and was standing and watching the movie while laughing. My children only walked to me and to my daughter that was opposite of me. They walked between the seats we bought no where else and stayed in that area. Never going up to no one or in the aisle. Absolutely terrible experience, me and my whole family left in the middle of the movie. read more

I went in a few weeks ago for the Moana2 opening day and it was packed but the staff handled it so well. Jess was so awesome! She was able to help us switch our tickets, and was going back-and-forth in between stations helping where ever it was needed. I would definitely come back. read more

Not my best experience at this theater. We typically only eat 1 large popcorn between the 2 of us and use a carrying box to split it up. There weren't any boxes so the offered a plastic bag. Tacky but we took it. Then off to fill out drink cups. No diet cola at any dispenser and 2 of the 3 didn't have root beer. I contacted a ticket taker to have them refill the soda. While we're putting butter oil in the plastic bag of popcorn the "manager", who appeared to be in his senior year of high-school told me they had ran out of the soda. Asked if he could give us a slurpy instead. No thanks. Then I though about the bag of popcorn and asked if I could get just another bucket to put the popcorn in. He told me no because they sold them. When I go to see Fathom Events movies, they are unable to screen them properly... three different times there have been significant issues, they'll leave the screen dark and not start the film until people go out into the lobby and complain after 10 minutes. I saw the subtitled Gundam Seed Freedom movie there and they had the aspect ratio wrong, the subtitles were not visible on the screen, and after enough people complained to them about that, the film was then out of focus. I've been to Rifftrax Live events there where the move was stopped and rolled back 15 minutes, then ended 15 minutes early, they were unable to resume the screening. A subtitled screening of Shin Ultraman had the dub shown instead. It's simply not worth my money to go there any more. read more

Took my 10 year old to watch Super Mario Bros. Our visit is always great. Today.... Not so much! The soda machine was out of ice ( not a big deal) What upset me the most.... That was quite the experience. I was so pumped to see Howls moving castle. I've never been to AMC. I have a learning disorder and ADHD so in part it was my own doing not realize A are the worst seats you can get at an AMC. They were front row below the screen. I was thrilled about the movie until realizing the seats but saw they were recliners so I brushed it off as a learning experience. When I went to recline, my chair did not. Several didn't it turned out but I was the only one to say something. I own howls on dvd and hbo so I spent $40 for my friend and myself to see it in theaters. At least I could get a working chair so I went and politely asked for the manager to see what they could do. They went to go and fix it but it didn't end up being able to be repaired as the movie was being played. The maintenance guy said he didn't know what to do about to. I asked him if my friend I could move to the empty seats in row b, which were empty and at first they declined but I was persistent considering the chairs didn't work, that's not my problem or fault and I paid a lot to see a movie I own already. They had seats zoned out for spacing, I assume so there were actually quite a few available seat in the theater but tell me why the bottom row (A) was completely filled. Eventually the manager okayed my friend and I move a row back but I won't be back. They did not handle that well. Hopefully the recliners are fixed so it's more comfortable for patrons. Walked in and the attendant was helping out other customers so we stood in line. We paid with cash, so we couldn't pay using the self serve machine. The attendant was friendly and printed our tickets out quickly. We then headed to the concession stand. The concession stand again, had several self serve ordering machines. We had cash so we had to actually wait for an associate. We waited about 5 minutes before someone made it on over to us. Not sure if they were having a meeting or whatevaaaa but no one was in sight. Concession stands at AMC are hella pricey. The popcorn here is not my favorite. I got a medium popcorn to share, an icee, and my friend got a soft drink. The area that is where the drinks are at was dirty. The floor was sticky and there was popcorn all over the floor... The seats were comfy and the movie was good. I'm not sure if I like AMC though. I do think I prefer the other local theater. Oh and the bathroom was dirty :( read more

I am an AMC loyalist, even with the price gouging on concessions. I think their matinee rate of under $6 is the best in the business. With that being said, I want to love this location I do. The seating arrangement is superior to other AMCs (you never have someone blocking your view), the theaters are typically clean and they are often showing most of the movies that are actually in theaters at the given moment. My gripe is the over-automation of the ticketing process and concessions. Before, even with a line, to get a drink and popcorn would take like a minute tops. Now it takes forever. You have to buy it on a screen, pay there and then wait for a couple of dudes who are in concessions to actually complete your order. To me, some things just don't need to be automated and this is definitely one of those things. read more

Don't go here. The food is extraordinarily expensive and it's nice to see that they are not reinvesting the revenue into the simple upkeep of their theaters. The chairs we sat in were ripped down the center, conveniently repaired by duct tape that was peeling off and sticking to us when attempting to recline. One of the seats in our theater was stuck fully declined as well which my wife bumped her knee fairly badly while walking by the empty row in the poorly lit theater. Went to go see the Taylor Swift Concert Movie and the sound was horrible! Could barely hear her voice even though no one in the theater was singing along. Popped by another theater room and her voice was loud and clear. This is completely unfair to not have the experience be similar to those in the same movie theater just different auditoriums. Might as well just watched at home on my regular tv, the sound system would have been better. AMC tickets are way too expensive nowadays for this to be acceptable. read more

He's t movie theater I've been to! First off they are super clean the staff is really approachable. They have easy ways to buy your tickets and you can get a student discount ;) My favorite part is all drinks including icees are free refills!!! Say what??? Yes free refills you know how awesome that is especially at a movie theater, because we all know their snack are a bit overpriced. Okay another great thing is the seating they are huge they recline and enough space to just be super comfortable. The person next to you is a bit separated from you so you don't have that awkward feeling who gets to put their elbow on the arm rest. They also have a bar inside nice little perk ;) This will be my movie theater to go to from now on. read more

We saw Dune several months later after it came out because I just hadn't gotten around to going to the movies. It was enjoyable, the whole experience. I like this theater because it's usually very clean and the seats recline. Getting away from the terrible Phoenix heat watching a movie in comfortable chairs is awesome. I also like Tuesdays because it's $5 per person unless you are part of A list then you get 3 movies per week with membership. This place has huge parking so might need to walk a bit but you will have a place to park. I like that you are able to get your snacks from the self-serve, beats the line any day. read more

This is the worst AMC theater! Today like other days the AC isn't working well and there's a toilet filled with feces and toilet paper and stunk worse than any restroom I've ever smelled. Last time the electricity went completely out during the movie Air (Jordan's story and Nike). Once the AC was completely broken. Today I finally said something about the restroom and the fact that my husband was super hot in the theater. They offered me free passes. Did not apologize. Get it together! read more

2 stars because the movie was good and the service for the concessions was fast. It was hot inside the movie theater to the point where I was sweating; both my wife and I were considering leaving because of the heat. I get that it's hot in Arizona but it's usually a good temperature inside we even brought a blanket but didn't get to use it!! The seats were broken and that really brought this poor experience even lower. I will not come back to this location and it's a shame because it is the closest location to us. read more

I've been to this AMC location a few times now and my experience has been the same each time. The parking lot can get pretty busy since there are many other restaurants/shops in the plaza, but I've never had trouble finding a spot. I would recommend purchasing your ticket beforehand, since all they need to do is scan your QR code for admission. They have sections off to the side for you to add your own butter, get napkins, etc. The seats in the theater are nice because they recline. I don't normally get anything from the concession stand, but I haven't had bad experiences in the times I did get a popcorn and/or drink. read more

If you don't have reservations don't bother just showing up .. unless you want to sit in the front row. We showed up on sat and had to get tickets for a sun show.. the kid at the box office told us all shows for the day were front row seats only!! Wow!! On sun when we returned there was a slow line for popcorn and there was a fast pass line for members BUT anyone could stand in that line to cut in front of everyone else.. no one was monitoring it. There were no lids for large cups so you had to grab a domed icee lid and at 1:00 in the afternoon the lobby was littered with trash/crumbs/popcorn/ straw wrappers. The theater was small but the seats were comfy .. good sound. The bathrooms were gross, smelled like they hadn't been cleaned in some time (it was to early in the day for this mess and the smell of urine!!) Lots of parking but the spots are so narrow it's hard to find a spot with another car not taking up two spots .. I had to squeeze into the car to leave and back out to let my bf in. I remember when this movie theater just opened! It was our favorite theater to go to during the summer. Decades later, I still like going here for movies, assuming I can get a ticket. They operate on a reservation system which I like since I can reserve my seats in advance. But, this also means that you will have to prepare way in advance if you want to see a very popular movie. The ticket system is all automated and there are various kiosks where you can buy and reserve your seats. There are even automated concessions booths here. I like the addition of Coca Coca Freestyle stations so you can make your own custom drink. The seats themselves are really comfy, made of leather or pleather with wide armrests. I love the reclining option with the footrest. You push a button to the side of your chair and can adjust as much reclining action as you want. read more

saw dune 2 in auditorium 14 yesterday yesterday (great movie btw) but this theater must've wanted us to get the full dune 4D experience because it was SWELTERING. it was so bad that i could tell the people around me were visibly confused by the temperature. saw several people trying to take off extra layers in the movie. no but actually it was so miserable in there that it took away a lot from my enjoyment of the movie id recommend going somewhere else. id maybe understand this in a phoenix summer but it's barely march, no reason for it to be this hot i come to this place for magic, not to sweat profusely. read more

Enjoyed my visit here, plenty of parking and many restaurant selections next door. I like that they have a screen in front of the movie theater to let you know what movie will be showing. My only complaint is that this new AMC seats are tight, they could have at least measured someone with wide hips. Very comfortable but after a while my sides were uncomfortable. I love AMC, but this one specifically is not the greatest. My boyfriend and I purchased two tickets and when we got to our seats they were broken. We tried other seats in the front row closest to the screen but it just wasn't cutting it. We got customer service and they said they would plug the seats back in because sometimes they are unplugged, we already tried it. We ended up watching the movie migration instead of the one we paid for "anyone but you". In the migration movie there was a kid non stop screaming and the family was super loud (not on AMC$ but to have broken seats and just offer to plug them in is dumb. Not a great experience and to get a refund every link I have opened just takes me into a circle. Never going to this one again. read more

Filthy! Absolutely filthy! From the bathrooms, to the seats, to the concession stands, to the carpet, to the cup holder, everything just filthy. Management and corporate should be ashamed. I searched through the reviews and pics before choosing the place, but still decided to give them a try. We purchased our tickets online before arriving to secure good seats. Once we got there we walked up to the concession stand to learn that you can ONLY order through the kiosk machines. Cool! There was just 1 actual person there to assist the outrageous lines at the kiosk machines. We ordered a large popcorn and 2 drinks. We stood back after ordering and waited for a few minutes thinking someone would call us or something but nope. Never happened. We flagged down the one movie theater attendant for assistant for him to only say, "Oh walk on the other side of the register and just grab your popcorn and cops for drinks". -__- Just chaos. The tops for the drinks are located behind the counter so you have to ask for a top ... but there's hardly tiny workers behind the counter anymore because of the kiosk machines. Just stupid! We get to or seats and before I could sit down I had to take napkins and wipe out the seats and cup holder because there were not just a few crumbs, but there was leftover lettuce, old fries, ketchup packages, napkins and straw paper. If you're not getting popcorn or using the concession stand, then okay fine, maybe a 2 star review. But seriously, who doesn't get snacks at the movies??? Typical movie theater, go in and buy your tickets, but there's an express line if you're an AMC Stubz member. But where it all goes wrong is the concession lines. Absolute chaos. The best way to describe it is almost like a fast food setup--order your food, wait for them to call your number. There's a few self-checkout kiosks where you can order your drinks/snacks, grab your receipt, and then wait for your order in the "pick up" area. But there's also your normal line, with one or two human workers, but it's confusing, bc they don't actually help you, they're just there to help you kind of navigate the self order kiosks at the front! So no matter what, you're pretty much ordering through the kiosk and then waiting for the food in the pick up zone. But when you get to the pick up zone, they're not yelling numbers loudly, and there's no orderly line, it's just a mob of people waiting for their order! And you basically just push your way through to the front, show your ticket to the worker, and then they'll grab your stuff for you. I get it, the new technology is what they're tryna implement. But it takes away all of the efficiency. You wait in line to order your concessions, only to wait in another mass of ppl who are waiting to pick up their order as well... whereas if you just had a normal theater concession line, you only wait in one line, and get your order right away. ________ Ok for the good parts: -The seats recline... but they're a little narrow compared to other theaters. ________ Summary--you can definitely go somewhere else for a better movie experience. read more

I know I said I'd never go here again, but I went because Murr from impractical jokers was here and I wanted to meet him. But I could not believe how unorganized this place was. When you get food from concessions, what do you do? I'm sorry, but there are no employees anywhere around to ask. The tablet things hardly work and when you order something from it what do you do? I decided after waiting around for 5 minutes for a staff member to just take the popcorn that I ordered from under the heat lamp. Don't know if that is what you are supposed to do but I did. Recommendation for the theater- put at least one person in the back to help answer people's questions or get them their food? If AMC is the only theater near you, just wait for the movie to go on DVD. read more

I keep coming here but it's continues to disgust me. No more. All nearby Harkins are remodeled now. The outside is disgusting. The ground needs a painting. The windows haven't been cleaned in what looks like 5 years. The inside has popcorn everywhere. The floors are filthy. The drink and popcorn areas need a wipe down. The screens outside each auditorium are still turned off years later. They claim it's so people don't theater hop. This isn't the late 90s early 00s anymore. People don't to to the movies like that now and seats are assigned. Harder to do that and no other theater in the valley does that.
