Couldn't buy tickets outside - had to go to the concession booth to do that. Luckily they had one of the two electronic kiosks working so I used that. Curiously, though, we really didn't need to buy tickets, as we literally walked right in with no one bothering our party of eight. Appeared to only be 3 employees in the whole place - all behind the concession counter. Bathrooms here are disgusting. Men's room reeked and there were paper towels/toilet paper all over the floor. All in all the movie was great but the overall experience was just ok. There are definitely better - and probably cheaper - places to go. read more

Its located in in a nice outdoor mall complex. The theatre is ok, employees are a bit apathetic. The concession girl put my receipt to sign down on a counter with spilled drink on it. My wife asked 2 employees a question and they just stared off into space like they didn't hear her. The cash register receipts are not itemized and we always seem to pay more for snacks than the signs say, especially the specials. I was at the theatre last Saturday and there have definitely been some changes. Not sure that I care for the long lines at the new soda machines. But trade-off seems to be limitless refills. That may appeal to some but the extra sugar and calories null and void that caveat. I was looking forward to a hotdog only to find out that hotdogs were discontinued last week! It seems that outside of popcorn, sodas and candy.....food items have practically been taken away. I have no real concerns with the theatre itself and it's actually closer to my home. But given the changes, I am probably going to choose another favourite theatre over Carmike in the future. read more

I'm pissed. I went into the movie theater and they declined my party the access of a movie. I had my ID. My friend had his ID. But the other two did not. After the movie started is when we got there. We paid for our tickets then they asked for our ID's. When we went to go return our tickets because we did not have our ID's they did not issue a refund knowing we did not go see the movie. This theater needs a complete make over it's located in the heart of upscale Viera FL with all outdated theaters and sound systems, no IMAX theater inside, the bid D theater is no WOW features with normal seating no reclining seats like most AMC theaters they need a new look along with the kids Bday room with small tube TVs from the 90's needs a new look. Would give no stars if that was an option! They have in the last few months implemented assigned seating. You cannot purchase a ticket without selecting a seat that they say you must sit in! It was bad enough when they started selling tickets at the concession counter but this is the last straw for me. When I described to the young man at the counter which row I'd like he couldn't tell me which lettered aisle that was. I asked what you do if you don't want to sit in the seat you selected when you get inside, he told me If that happened I had to come back out & chose a different seat. I don't think so! The diagram you chose from does not accurately reflect the lay out of the auditorium. If the theater is dark when you enter you can't see that the letters assigned to each row that are in red in the carpet in the aisles. I decided the heck with it & sat where I wanted to, I figured if someone came in who's selected that seat I would move. Paid for a drink but one fountain on my side of the theater was out of order & the other had no diet sodas available. This place was never very good but it's hit a new low. Theaters need to draw in customers, not repell them. I won't be back! read more

One star too many in this review. The WORST, from lobby to screening. Follow me on this. My wife and I arrived for a 1PM screening at 12:45. No one available to buy tickets from. Entered lobby was directed to a kiosk for purchase. Kiosk didn't work. Directed to snack bar for tickets. Genius there informed us 1PM showing was cancelled? As we left theater ticket guy comes out says show is not cancelled and we can buy tickets from surly, overburdened, impatient semi-teenage manager. She takes my credit card, (reluctantly) pops it onto a snack bar register and tells me the movie will cost, (wait for it) $27.15 for two tickets. This is the senior discount price! Stunned but game we enter the theater. There are TWO other people in the room. We double the audience to four. Time passes. Another couple arrives. There are now six of us in the screening room. 1PM. No movie, lights on, nothing. 1:15, same. 1:25, I go back to the lobby. Find teenage manager. She is totally unaware there is a problem, but she's on it. Back to theater. 1:35, nothing. Back to lobby (with wife) to get my money back. Semi-teenage manager very put out by my request. Surly would be appropriate, rude even better. After some grousing my money is returned. The assistant teenage manager arrive proudly announces the movie has begun! (1:45). But wait, it started in the middle and they cannot rewind it? We are welcome to go see the movie anyway. We decline. We are given two FREE movie passes which we will use at ANY OTHER AMC but this one. Inept, disorganized, rude and incompetant. No wonder these theaters are closing. read more

This is the worst movie theater in the area. Do not go here. The restrooms always have issues with no water pressure and are always filthy. The last time we went the A/C didn't work so they gave us passes to come back again. We came back today to see a different movie in a different theater and once again the A/C didn't work so we left. Sadly, this theatre has fallen into disrepair as of recently. Since AMC took over from Carmike they have installed a new Big D theatre with more comfortable seating- but technical difficulties. They have however, allowed the restrooms to be disgusting. Half of the stalls have toilets that don't work and the floor is utterly gross. Would be nice if they cared a little more about cleanliness and less about a bigger screen. Hopefully, they will tend to the basic necessities before expanding further. I am extremely disappointed that a theater that was the best in Melbourne just 6 years ago has now become a questionable destination for movie goers. read more

This hasn't been a decent movie theater for at least ten years and changing owners hasn't helped. The films are often misaligned or do not start on time. This forces patrons to exit and track down the hiding place of a shift manager. Some of the auditoriums have had leaky ceilings for years, which is especially noticeable after a storm. The ushers are not properly supervised. The bathrooms are generally in a state of disrepair and are unhygienic. Despite the insanely inflated prices of food at the concession stand, they don't give you a tray to hold your food. Hot dogs may have been in the display for several hours, being unfit for consumption and the employees don't know to change them. Overall, you are almost guaranteed to have a miserable time at this place. read more

Went to late movie last night to see Tarzan. I will not go back to this location. It is so dirty. The ladies room was absolutely disgusting. I would have taken pictures however I did not have my phone with me. Also disgusting was the counter by the soda. I thought perhaps when the movie was out It may have been cleaned up. No not at all. It was approx midnight and the ladies room was just as disgusting. No paper towels, trash overflowing and all over the floor. The dryers not working. Stalls disgusting. This has been this way on previous visits and I stopped going. No more for me. I don't want to think what the concession is like. Too many other movie houses to visit for a better experience. Though there seem to be more employees working at all times, they are all young teenagers that are rude and seem to care more about their friends and people they know. Im not getting the poor reviews here. The place was clean and the movies by Seattle standards were cheap! The whole area outside is like super nice. Everytime we visit my parents we stop here and catch the early movies for $6. The later is only $8. In Seattle its $12+ per ticket! Im a fan. Yes a big one. read more

I have been waiting for "On the Basis of Sex" to come out for many months now. To my extreme surprise, there is not an AMC within 50 miles of my home that is playing it. What this theatre did play, however, was "Death of a Nation." A movie nearly univserally, maybe with the exception of the Drudge Report, judged to be filled with cherry picked, or blatantly false information. What kind of message does that send? You're giving your Audience the choice to see a right wing propoganda movie that calls all liberals Nazi's, but you are not giving them a choice to see a film about the first female supreme Court Justice? Is AMC really that partisan that they can't fathom people learning about Ruth Bader Ginsberg? I don't care who runs the theatre, you're making the choice to effectively censor an entire part of history but you'll put out one that effectively never happened? I am disgusted by AMC, and whomever made this decision should be ashamed of themselves. Also as an aside, the women's restroom is essentially always dirty and smells like sewage. read more

This was our first time here although we have been Stubb members for years. We went fo the 10th Anniversary David Tennant Dr Who Special. The girl at the register was very snobby and condescending. The seating was also uncomfortable. I'm not very picky, but I won't be back. We can go to the AMC in Veto or Melbourne for special events. A bit further, but worth it! read more

Pretty bad theater. First time here to see Christopher Robins. First, we could have walked straight in without paying. There was no one at window or taking tickets. Being honest people, we paid at the kiosk. We were going get popcorn and drinks but the line was so slow with just two kids working behind food counter. Won't be going back. Oh! And the handrails are all sticky, gooey!!! Someone is just sitting on this, knowing there's not competition close by, making money. And this is in a rather wealthy neighborhood. Took over 45 minutes to buy 2 tickets for a 4:30 pm show saturday afternoon. Box office windows not open so had to stand in concessions line to buy ticket. Only two workers present trying to prepare hot food, get beer, popcorn, sodas, etc in addition to selling ticket And they had a separate VIP line so anyone coming in that qualified for the VIP status were helped immediately regardless of how long us regular peons had been in line. When I finally got to head of the line we had to waste another 5 minutes due to a new system that forces you to pick a specific seat like at a concert. Worker didn't know how to use system and print ticket and then lecture me on how we had to sit in our assigned seats and couldn't move. By time i got tickets there were 22 people (we counted) in line behind us and numerous other customers gave up and left. I will not be returning to this theater. read more

Just tried to see a movie today but turned around and left. One huge line and only two or three cashiers . The line was not moving and we would have been 30 min late for the show. AMC management poor since this was the day after the Oscar nominations and so the attendance was above normal but management should have anticipated that and had sufficient cashiers in to handle the crowd. Went to see Money Monster this afternoon (good movie...not great). Two of us used the ladies room prior to start of this movie-shockingly filthy. What a huge disappointment in the midst of this shopping complex! You would certainly expect pristine/too bad. A lady entered as we were leaving and we warned her of our horror. 4 stars for solid experiences the last several times I've visited this theatre. Ticket lines always move fairly fast, though I wish they add a few more of the automated machines, since I always opt for those. Theatres are clean (bathrooms could use some work) and seats are comfortable. Even though the concession line is always super long, it moves pretty quickly. Watched "Logan" on opening day. Great film...go watch it. House lights came on during the ending (very emotional) scene, staff seemed indifferent, another staff member could not get a response from a manager. We were not the only ones looking to inform of this issue. Did not want $$ back, just looking to prevent this from happening during a busier showing. read more

Just moved to the area and thought this was such a nice theater.. Well by the looks of it, it was. I went to see a movie that had JUST came out (first showing) so I arrived early to get a seat. Other people, however didn't but still arrived around the start time. It came to the point when flows of people came in and there were no seats left. NONE. The people went to the desk and got their money back but if that had been me I'd be pretty mad. Not only that but the previews didn't even begin until 10/15 minutes after the time they we're suppose to start. I don't know what all goes into starting a movie, there could've been a problem I wasn't aware of. Other than those two incidents I enjoyed the movie and theater. read more
