This theatre has changed its name and owner several times. It is a comfortable and clean theatre. However, they have made two recent changes that I do not like. #1. You have to pick your seat when purchasing your ticket. They print it on your ticket. ( in small print so you have to get out your glasses to read it). Then you go and sit down and even if the theatre is not busy, and there are plently of seats, but of course it ends up with people sitting on both sides of us so we're packed in like sardines while the rest of the theatre is empty. #2. They no longer list which movie is in which theatre so you have to go get your glasses out and read the small print to see which theatre you should go to. I think I'll just go elsewhere so I don't have to sit like a sardine, and sit where I like. read more

They apparently didn't have anyone working in the projection room. While watching the Equalizer the movie shut down after about 10 minutes it was restarted and we had to watch 15 to 20 minutes that we had already seen. Then it shut down again and we missed a lot of action. The 5 of will not return. read more

We thought when it was a one off thing, but in the last 2 to 3 months of going to see a movie there the restrooms are absolutely disgusting!! The plan was to see A Haunting in Venice with the scheduled open captions (#DeafLatina). For the second time in the last couple of weeks, there was a problem with the Sunday open caption showing. Last time, we were told that there was no one who knew how to turn on the captions (I thought that open captions were innate, unlike closed captions). Tonight, the showing was cancelled. Our tickets were purchased through the app & printed on our way home in. At no point were we notified that the showing was cancelled. We waited, 20-ish mins before Hubby stepped out to inquire. The mgr was unable to issue a refund because the tickets were purchased via the app. We have a nicer, closer to home, theater (@TheOaksTheater), where we are treated with kindness & respect. We only make the drive to this location for the open caption showings. Clearly, that's not working out. read more

This movie theater is gross! Disgustingly filty and old bathrooms in disrepair! Popcorn tasted so stale you couldn't even chew it!!!! 1 girl working concession stand and l had to ask her to turn off the lights after my movie started... Rediculous after I spent close to 100.00 for tickets and LOUSY popcorn and horrible tasting COKE ZERO (Xlzero taste) I went to AVATAR which was advertised and billed for 3 D movie and it WASNT! Pretty decent. Don't get a homey vibe from this location but it certainly is new. Nice sleek look. Clean. Fifteen screen I believe. Huge lobby and arcade. Torn between three or four stars but I just ever feel "wowed" here. I know I know, come for a film and that cinema experience. Not the specific theater but it all ties in for me. Easy to park for the most park. It's in the avenue mall area so you do compete a bit for parking. Clean and updated as I mentioned. Fancy displays with all ten films and the fifteen to twenty screens. Spacious lobby. All the usual confessions, arcade games, and area for a kids birthday party. Staff seems pretty meh about working here. Maybe I've just been unlucky on my multiple visits. From the ticket counter to the concessions, ushers, and ticket counters. Most everyone would prefer to be somewhere else. Easy enough to find your theater. Seats are average. Not too huge or too small. Rows go about ten or twelve seats across. Fairly high up and wide so each screen can hold a large amount of moviegoers. Other cinemas in the area. This location has most films you want to see. If a movie has been out for a bit it may no longer show here. They do cheaper matinee films like most theaters. But the evening prices are a few bucks more than other nearby cinemas. Unless you're super Fandango serious and purchasing your tickets early for opening day just watch a film at another theater. This one isn't dirty or terrible. I personally just have a better film experience overall at other nearby cinemas. read more

Disappointing experience- loud hum all through movie. Advised staff but nothing was done. Even though there were no more than 10 people in entire theater they had only blocked off like 4 seats in the whole place for "social distancing" measures. Otherwise just your average movie theater. read more

Not sure what happened to this theatre. It's very dirty. They used to have lit up signs with the names of the movies playing and what theatre they were in. They used to have the name of the movie lit up above each individual theatre as well. Now nothing. They don't turn on the house lights when you go into the theatre before the movie. It's pitch black and you have to use your phone flashlight to find a seat. I hate to see a business where they just don't care. read more

I entered the store with a bottle of water and was told that I couldn't bring in "outside food or drink". It's water. A necessity to human survival. Forgive me if I don't want to pay $6 for a bottle of water or choose to get a cup that holds two sips-worth. She asked me to throw it away or leave, so I threw it away. I came back in with another friend and we bought a ticket for our third friend who came in through the side door. We bought three tickets, for the THREE of us, and continued on to the theater. My other friend brought in a slurpee from 711, because again, paying $8 for a slurpee is not reasonable. A young blond lady with glasses came in, found which theater we went to and asked to check our tickets and for us to throw away the slurpee or leave. The fact that they took the time to FIND WHICH THEATER WE WENT TO and reprimand us is insanity. Movies are supposed to be a time of joy and fun, but that blonde lady with glasses made our visit anything but. I am very disappointed in the employment here and believe that the high prices and rude employees make this AMC one to avoid. I will never be back. read more

My husband and I saw a movie tonight and it definitely wasn't the same. I know things are different since Covid but it seemed a little neglected and as though the staff didn't care about the upkeep. Another person watching the movie in the theater had to physically get up and turn the lights off when the movie started and someone did it after the movie ended. Among other things. Just sad to see the movie theater come to this. I know things are different and they aren't getting as much revenue but not even putting the name of the movie next to the theater number or having any of the show times listed? As a regular customer I am absolutely appalled at how DISGUSTING this theater is. I am a regular biweekly customer and have absolutely had enough. We chose to attend the 10:00pm hunger games showing tonight and attempted to go to the restroom to be greeted by six Clogged out of order bathroom stalls; making the restroom reak of human filth. Trash overflowing and not a single person did a thing when we notified them of the state of the restroom. I will not even begin to detail the unbearable state of the theater which had sticky floors, trash everywhere, and appeared to be just completely neglected. Horrible. read more

Went to see the Elvis movie. It said it started at 6:05. We sat thru 20 minutes of commercials, 15 minutes of previews. The movie finally started at 6:40. I haven't been to the theater for years and won't be going back anytime soon. My husband and daughter, who frequent movies said they would never go back to amc. My husband said if a theater has to show 20 mins worth of commercials, maybe its time to shut your doors. I will not pay that kind of money to see a dentist commercial 5 times! read more

They don't have anyone working at the ticket booth anymore. They force you to wait 30 mins in line at the popcorn line to buy your movie tickets (even if you don't want any food!) we came to see little women and ended up missing the beginning of the movie because we waited over 30 mins in line. They also changed it so you have to get reserved seating- odd because the seats are standard flip seats. People end up taking the wrong seat or you get bar seating even if you show up an hour in advance. Not recommended ! read more

By far the worst movie theater in Melbourne. Expect to pay a lot of money for nothing. On a Friday night at 8pm, which you think would be prime time, the arcade and everything is closed. One line is open at the concession area to sell tickets. I purchased tickets at the kiosk and when I walked toward my movie an employee from behind the concession counter who was taking care of the line, yelled out that I needed to get my tickets torn. I paid $30 for tickets at the kiosk and I'm getting yelled at that AMC is too cheap to employ someone to tear my ticket. This theater used to be my favorite before AMC took over, I'll drive 25 minutes to Cinema World before ever stepping foot at AMC in Viera again. read more

Slow!!! Holy FREAKING SLOW!!!! Your employees are slow as crap!!! One dude with glasses was putting around as if he had slippers on, each person at the register stared and looked at it as if it was their first time looking at one. Nobody moved with any urgency!!! And any time an employee wasn't moving, they were either slouched over their register or a counter as if they were winded. And this was with a line out the door!!! It took me 38 minutes to move 8ft! Lines at Disney moved faster!!! You had 7 team members!!!! When I final got my cup to get a drink the one fountain was out of everything!!! This 7:40 on Friday night!!!! Get your shit together!!! These people weren't new!!! I've seen the same crew the last three weeks. I am not coming back for a long time. I am going back to Cinema World. I could drive there, order tickets, get snacks and drinks and be done in less time then this slow ass place could ever dream. I certainly miss Carmike! Since AMC took over, the theaters have deteriorated. I went to see a movie last night and I noticed the wall covering was coming down. There are many seats that are not level (the seat slopes down toward the front) I do, however, appreciate the $5 Tuesdays and hope they do not end. I had great hopes when AMC took over that the theater would kept better (Even though Carmike did a fine job) all we got was loss of many of the discounts that Carmike gave us. I do not see the new Popcorn Bucket offered for 2018. that was something that kept their patrons loyal, why not offer that again? AMC, worry more about the customer and the upkeep of the theater than you fancy, apparently frequently sold out, new foods. Just another way to make a movie about eating, not the movie. read more

It has really deteriorated throughout the pandemic. There is only one snack counter open all the others look like ghost towns. Nobody checks your ticket when you walk in so you really don't even have to buy one. Although we did because we are honest. There isn't enough staff to manage it I believe at this point. Food costs are astronomically high - higher than I've ever seen before at the movies. I believe it was like $6 for soda and $9 or $10 for a popcorn. read more

Walked in there for a 12 o'clock movie on a Sunday only had two kids working counter. The one teenager was just stocking up while the other one had to process everyone in line. The services is pretty bad, and the employees need training ASAP.. for example, they should charge me for a regular popcorn and they always charge me the price of a big popcorn... even though I'm premium member !!! THE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE CONTINUES!!! I only gave it 1 star cause 0 wasn't an optionOver the past 12 months we've been here approx once a month and EVERY time we go, the theatre is 32 degrees in the hallways & 900 degrees in the theatre seats. I finally had enough of sitting in my seat sweating through the movie and approached the manager. I was told they have tried 10 different repair companies and no one has been able to fix the A/C. "Obviously that means it needs to be replaced!!" I'm sure they've been told after 10 diff repairs from 10 diff companies. Instead, the customers can suffer cause it's allot of money to replace..... Right? Well, it's $80 for family night between the movie, popcorn & drinks. So not hearing the expense excuses. Aside from that, the facility is ALWAYS dirty and in disarray. The movie boards which show which theatre room your movie is playing, none of them work, so they turned them off rather than fix them. There is no signage to direct you to your movie, and furthermore with the ticket office closed, everyone has to get tickets from the 1 kiosk that isn't broke. Bathrooms are GROSS!!! No soap or paper. You wouldn't expect this from a no name theatre in cow town Iowa. It's definitely not acceptable for a busy, upper middle class town like Viera. Put yourself up for sale to someone who cares about the customer. If you can't afford the maintenance and to keep the place clean for your customers, you clearly need the money. read more

Of the whole ticket desk, and two ticket kiosks, there was no way to buy tickets. Nobody working the desk, and both kiosks were out of order. We had to go inside and purchase tickets in concession. Waiting behind tons of people paying $45.95 for candy and popcorn. Once we finally got into the theatre, the whole row of seats was broken. If one person moved, The entire row shook. It felt like the whole thing was about to snap and we would all be on the ground. Very annoying. Unfortunately in this wasteland called viera, this is pretty much your only option for movie going unless you want to travel to merritt island (which is worse) or Melbourne (which is far). Too bad. First time coming to this theatre we watched Avengers Endgame. We bought tickets to the BigD theatre, which cost a little more and you get to sit in seats a little more comfy. I have not experienced the classic theatre yet, so I'll update when I do. I do not have another theatre in the area to compare this theatre to, so I am comparing it to other experiences. I must be spoiled because whether the theatre had reclining seats or not, all guests we able to pick seats before showtime. I do believe AMC has this option on a paid membership program, but we do not come to the movies enough to justify paying a monthly membership. I thought the place was clean and decent. The staff I interacted with were friendly. My star deduction is merely for the prices and not being able to choose seats. Coming out to watch the Avengers Endgame, I knew it would be packed. We watched an early showing to get around this. However, I don't think customers should be having to walk around the entire theatre looking for seats that are together. I do hope that choosing seats can become a norm here eventually. read more

Worst movie theater I have been to. After waiting in line for at least 15 minutes and paying over $20 for a small popcorn and soda, two of the four soda machines were not working. They also make you pick your seat before entering the theater. You wind up seating all together in a clump of people with empty seats all around you. It's been about a year, but it seems this theater is still Carmike's red-headed stepchild. Greeted by a terribly unfriendly concessions chick who said the pizza was great, she forgot to mention it might be cremated. While I was waiting for my burned pizza, I watched the other concessions peeps, none of whom smiled or attempted. This time, the theater looked a bit cleaner, and the seats were at least repaired. Screens are bright, and the sound is good. The urinals appeared to be in better condition too. But you kids have a long way to go to get this place up to snuff with your Carmike siblings. It's the only theater on the mainland in North Brevard, which is probably the only thing keeping this joint open. Come on Carmike! Let's restore this venue to the Rave's former greatness. read more

This is a beautiful theater with stadium seating. The ticket prices are on the higher end compared to other theaters. Popcorn here is not so good. The staff here is very friendly. The temperature in the theater is a bit too hot. I dont know if its just me but it seems this place is operating on the skinny. read more
