I will try to keep this brief…read more I attended a screening of Obsession at 6:45 PM in Auditorium 7 at AMC Colonial 18, located at 825 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30043 on 6/20/26. Shortly after the film began, a guest seated in Row A was repeatedly using her phone at full brightness to text, browse social media, and scroll through various apps. The light was distracting to both myself and other moviegoers. I went to Guest Services and politely asked if an employee could speak with the guest about phone usage during the film. I returned to my seat, and approximately 40 minutes later the guest was still using her phone. While the brightness had been lowered, the phone remained visible and distracting. I left the auditorium a second time and encountered the manager on duty, a shorter man with curly hair whose name I unfortunately do not recall. I am sure his identity can be verified through the schedule for that evening. I asked whether he had spoken with the guest. He informed me that he had not and stated that people should be expected to use their phones during a movie. He also said that he had only seen the guest check her phone twice and therefore did not consider it a significant issue. I explained that the phone use had been ongoing and asked if he would please address it. During our conversation, he repeatedly refused to take any action and told me to return to my seat. At one point, he stated that he would need to "catch them in the act" before speaking to them, which contradicted his earlier statement that he had observed the guest using her phone. I then asked whether he intended to do anything about the situation. When he said no, I explained that while I could speak to the guest myself, I would prefer that an employee handle the matter. He responded by accusing me of escalating the situation, even though I was simply requesting that the theater's policies be enforced. The most concerning part of the interaction occurred when he stated that he could tell I had been drinking and that I wanted to escalate the situation. This accusation was completely unfounded. I had consumed a single mixed drink purchased at the theater's bar nearly an hour earlier and was not intoxicated. I found the comment inappropriate, unprofessional, and unnecessary. At that point, I ended the conversation and walked away specifically to avoid further conflict. I waited in the lobby and later spoke with the manager again. During that conversation, I asked about AMC's policy regarding phone usage in auditoriums. He told me that phones were allowed, which appears to contradict AMC's long-standing efforts to provide distraction-free movie experiences. As a result of these interactions, I missed a significant portion of the film. While the original issue was a guest using a phone during the movie, my primary concern is the manager's handling of the situation. Rather than addressing a reasonable complaint, he dismissed the concern, refused to take action, contradicted himself during our conversation, and made inappropriate assumptions about me personally. I have attended many screenings at this location over the years and have generally had positive experiences. For that reason, this interaction stood out as particularly disappointing. I hope AMC will review this incident and provide additional training or coaching regarding guest relations and conflict resolution. The staff is a bit inconsistent. Some are friendly and helpful and some aren't They keep the bathrooms quite clean. The parking situation here is not very good. Of you are lucky enough to snag a spot it's good but the lot fills quickly. Overall I would come back to more events here in the future.

You will likely have to take rideshare or find somewhere else far away to park. When I attempted to park upon arriving at the Classic Center, an employee who was stationed outside the parking garage (to let people know it was full) pointed me toward parking for the courthouse a couple blocks away. When I drove over there, a courthouse employee told me that parking there is not allowed unless one has official courthouse business. So not only is their parking area very small, but they do not even give accurate information about where alternate parking can be found. It was incredibly frustrating. I ended up driving around for 30 minutes and finally settling for an expensive lot nearby just so I could get to my conference. Signage within the venue is virtually non-existent and employees are few and far between if you happen to have questions or need assistance. It's like they expect that everyone visiting this place has been many times before and knows the lay of the land, which is decidedly not the case. The sole reason I am giving two stars is because they did not skimp on air conditioning. It was on in full force the entire time I was at my conference, which is beyond necessary given the outdoor temperatures averaging 95 degrees with 80%+ humidity when I was in Athens. I would not have expected the air conditioning situation to go off without a hitch given the remainder of my experience here, but sometimes there are small silver linings.

With all the options in Athens to have a drink, there is absolutely no reason to go here when they obviously do not respect their customers. The bartender seriously watches you like a hawk to pounce at the opportunity to be a jerk about your mask. It was really unsettling. This was the most bizarre circus I've ever been to, hands down…read more I'm a huge Cirque du Soleil fan, so when I heard a Cirque Italia was in town, I was intrigued. The website and the fact that they had free kids tickets at Del Taco should've been a sign to me that this wasn't going to be top-notch. But I found a good deal on Goldstar and figured it'd be entertaining enough for a Friday night date night. Cirque Italia was set up in the parking lot of the Gwinnett County fairgrounds, and the tents resembled a small Cirque du Soleil. So far, so good. When we walked into the tent we realized that the "climate control" was just one heating unit in the corner. It was FREEZING inside! I put on my best game face and settled in for the show. The entertainment was so underwhelming I found myself yawning and struggling to stay awake about 20 minutes in. Sure, the performers had talent, but the weird music and choreography was so off-putting. The theatrics were so over the top, it was like watching a terrible soap opera. The clown that performed every 10 minutes in between acts was so, so irritating. I wanted to like this circus so badly, but it was just a train wreck.

We chose seats 3 rows back at the end of an aisle thinking we would have a good view only to have a huge tent support structure almost in direct view of our aisle seat. After going back to look at the seating chart, we noticed a small square that represented this pole, but there was no legend indicating that that was a huge pole blocking your line of sight. (See pic) Concessions has no pricing, you have to ask about each item. Large popcorn and a bottle of water was $13 which is about average, I suppose, but you could put out some signs. Now for the good news! The performers were really great! The water show part was different and very beautiful. I think this would be most enjoyable for families with children. There is comedy relief in between the acts with cheesy clowns. Don't pay a lot for your ticket though. Definitely look for a discount somewhere. Google and find cheap tickets and enjoy yourself.

Catering by Marlowes and access to some really fantastic reserve beer makes it worth the extra money. Not much of a crowd inside the tent, but after they opened the gates, lines started piling up quick. Still, no waits more than a couple minutes, unless you wanted to use the VIP bathrooms. They really needed more... BTW, if you had a problem with traffic or parking, it's because you didn't take Uber. It's a BEER FEST; don't drive!!! We won't make the mistake of missing this event again...

What a fun, inexpensive way to spend an evening while supporting local theater!…read more Last night we enjoyed Fifth Row Center's production of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap presented at The Springs Church on Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch. This was my first Fifth Row Center experience and I have to say that I was quite impressed. This is wonderful community theater and we in the area should be supporting these events. The audience was small and the venue certainly was able to handle a larger crowd. The presentation is for several days so we hope more will attend. It did seem as though most of the audience was comprised of friends and family. Since I am not here to review the play, but the theater company itself, I will stay away from a play review....though we thoroughly enjoyed it! Fifth Row Center is located on Main St. in Flowery Branch where they have classes, rehearsals, etc. and welcome anyone to come in to audition. My only real complaint is the fact that there didn't seem to be too much advertising for this production. Unless we missed anything else, the only way we found out about this was a large sign posted at a nearby busy intersection. I never noticed any newspaper ads or anything else around town. Maybe I don't get out much or maybe it just wasn't there. At any rate, my suggestion would be to advertise the heck out of their productions in hopes of gaining loyal patrons. Our group certainly will now be regular attendees when the production interests us. Best of luck to Fifth Row Center. We hope the community will come out and support this endeavor and help keep it running.

Not sure of the capacity, but I will say that the best places to sit is in the center even if you are in the last row. We were seated stage right 2nd row and couldn't really see anything thanks to the pillars at the front of the stage and also the equipment blocking the view. Word of warning.....I was initially bummed I couldn't get Row 1 when I searched for tickets...when I got there, I was ecstatic I didn't get Row 1. I would be so upset if I paid for front row seats and had to essentially sit on the ground. Row 1 had to sit on the wet ground...it was the ledge/wall type thing with fake grass and brick. Row 2 was the first row with actual seats. It appears that all of the sections are this way. 1 row no chairs (sit on the ground) 1 row chairs, then repeat. The good part is the money spent there goes to the school. So that's awesome. The other good part is the bathrooms! there's no line and they are much bigger than you would expect, they are clean AND it's air conditioned. Concession ladies weren't the nicest. Before the show was over (even before the last song prior to the encore started), I went up to buy a water and was told they were closed. They are losing a lot of money by turning it away that early. I didn't sit VIP, but glad I didn't. The website describes the "Suites" as something awesome....What it actually is, is a tailgating tent for each "Suite" with a high top table and chairs, a bucket of bud light type beer, and a buffet setup across the way catered by Golden Corral. There's no fans, no AC, not indoors...not what one expects to receive for that kind of money. Over all the venue is just ok - It's very nice and new from a looks perspective, but not very professionally handled. It's nice in theory, but needs work. Oh right..the show - it started over half an hour late and then there were amp issues the whole night. Not sure I would go back here.
