The reason that I am giving this location a 1 Star is because of the interaction that I had with the so called general manager. They acted like they had no human emotions and kept saying it's AMC's policy even though they have not been enforcing it previously. She could have said we will allow it this time due to you're an A-List member and we have not been enforcing said policy... but no, she just wanted to stick to her script like a robot. I'm actually an A Lister, so I try and see 3 movies each week, 12 movies a month for $24 a month, which equals out to $2 per movie. If I really want to get my money's worth! This is my second one today. The first was Garfield at 12:45, which was really cute. I recognized Snoop Dawgs' character immediately ! The next movie is Thelma and the leading lady is 94 years young and this is her first starring role! She's been in so many movies as the 2nd banana or sidekick or character roles. My wife and I visited AMC Colonial 18 to see Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. I have never been to this theater before, so I was excited to see what the difference would be between this location and the other AMC's that I've been to. The Parking: Free parking, of course. Huge parking lot. The Service: The customer service is fair. I believe since Covid, they've reduced the amount of workers they have and replaced them with machines, which you can operate yourself. For instance, to order from concessions, you must order online. The staff we did encounter were nice, though. The Theatre: I love this AMC. We booked our own room with many of our close friends to see this movie. The seats are super comfortable and they also recline. Reclining seats are definitely a plus! We are very much enjoying this movie theater! It leans towards independent and art house movies as well as first run. It's always clean. Plenty of parking. Dolby, Imax and Digital versions abound. Most if not all of the 18 have reclining seats. The staff always are friendly. The restrooms are spotless. The theaters are too. We have no complaints and are frequentl fliers. You should join the AMC Stubs and Insider programs and make AMC Colonial 18 a regular spot. read more

This AMC location is in Lawrenceville. I've been to this location multiple times and it's awesome. They have a Dolby Cinema, and it is so much better than IMAX. First things first when walking into the theater it was quick and simple. I got some snacks and drink and went to watch the movie leaving mom. The seats were actually comfortable and reclined a decent amount. However as I was getting ready to leave and since the movie ended very late I got out very late. With this being said I walked out about 20 minutes before the movie ended as the movie just felt like it was going to end in a weird way. But then I forgot my wife's clip that was given to her by her mother who lives in another country amd has not seen in years. So I rushed back and asked the security guy if I could quickly grab it since the movie was not over yet. He just kept denying and said " that I should have thought of it before walking out." In a very rude way. I will say the clip was clipped to me so I did not expect it to fall off of me. With this I will warn you to never forget anything when leaving very late as the security people don't give a crap about you or your stuff. You would think that since they are security they could escort you to get it or even do it themselves if they aren't allowed to let me back in. Overall horrible experience I also live very far from the place so I couldn't even go back to get it. I will say I don't think it's great to have security people that don't know how to deal with that situation. Honestly I wouldn't be wanting to go through all of that if it was something not important. Honestly do better. read more

Let's start with the good. I do like that the seats recline and the tickets were $14 a piece. I'm trying to keep out of mind the movie we saw, because it was terrible, and trying to not let that taint my overall opinion of this theater. The sound quality was fine, and the picture was good. We got there kind of late, so we didn't get any popcorn, but I do like AMC's popcorn typically. This theater has been around a while. They need to fix their outdoor kiosks, because all three were not working properly. The only one that was working took the guy's money before us but failed to print the tickets. What a hassle. The only other way if you don't get them online is to old-school stand in line and the line is OUTSIDE. The weather was cold and yucky, and we had to wait there to get tickets. Not a fan of this system. The bathrooms could use some work, and if you use the Dyson, don't look down. There is so much dirt swimming at the bottom of those things...yuck!!! We only picked this theater, because we were meeting his friend who got off work late in that same area. I prefer our other theaters better, but if I would pick this place over any theater that does NOT have reclining seats for sure. read more

This AMC is okay. Yes this theater has the reclining seats for all theater rooms but that's usually about it. There is always a line when you go inside even when you have purchased your ticket beforehand. The lines at the concession stand take awhile too and service isn't great either. If you order food ahead of time it seems to take them longer than if you were to order it walk in because you have to flag someone's attention to make sure they start preparing your order. They don't start making it ahead of time, only when you've talked to one of them. Concession stand food is mediocre compared to other theater locations. Their popcorn is always salty compared to other locations and it upsets my family's stomach. One time they started serving this nacho cheese that tasted awful, it was different from the usual cheese that comes with the nachos. There is always something that goes wrong at this theater, fights break out and whatnot. Entertaining environment at the very least I guess. It's not very clean either. I usually try to go to the one on Sugarloaf Mills because I like that one better. read more

I've been to this AMC location a few times in the last year and have always had a nice experience, my recent visit was no different. I went during the week when it is known to be less busy and I had the entire theater to myself. Yippee for me. I like the reclining seats. The seats get 5 stars alone. The theater was clean so no complaints there. When I initially came in the cashier was more than friendly. She shared her experience of the movie I was seeing and was enthusiastic about movies in general. All in all, I will definitively return to this location. read more

Came here to watch the "Barbarian" movie and some people were talking in the back, phones ringing "it's corn" in the middle of the movie and no one came to solve the issue. It really makes the experience horrible when people have no respect for others. After the movie I tried to find somebody to let them know (not that it matters) and there was no one there. Anyway, the movie theater itself was nice, popcorn was good and the bathroom was ok. Just very frustrating that no one comes to remove the disrespectful ones. read more

When I first came to this theater to see the movie Old it was an okay experience but when I came back recently to see Elementals it was a terrible experience. They're very understaffed here so I get it. On the entire right side of the building not a single theater had air conditioning and the seats are super cramped. Went to see a movie and had a decent experience. They have renovated the concession stand and it was clean. However my theater could have been cleaner. Napkins were stuffed in cup holders and popcorn was on the floor. My biggest complaint is the glass divider between the rows that they have in the theaters with reclining seats. They are in the way and cut through the screen. The divider in front of me was covered in hand prints. It was annoying throughout the movie. Overall it was an ok experience. read more

I complained to management twice. Nothing was done. I decided to leave and ask for a refund. I spoke with Skylar who was very professional. This place sits in a nice location. The only thing I noticed and didn't like was the way ticket sales and entry was handled during the time I came. There was one employee there doing ticket sales, checking tickets and scanning mobile tickets. This held the line up quite a bit. Not sure if it was because it was mid day and they didn't think they don't do sales out front and check tickets inside. But holiday time and Spiderman was sold out for a couple of the times available. Otherwise the place was generally clean for a movie theater. The bathrooms weren't dirty and it didn't smell. The concessions went quickly with plenty of staff. Staff that assisted us was extremely friendly. Seats in my (4) theater were reclinable and comfy. Sat in the second row and it was not bad at all if that's your only option. Will definitely be visiting thing place more often. I used to trekk to buckhead for a nicer theater but probably won't being doing that after finally visiting this one. read more

AMC Colonial is the closest theater to me, and it's a great theater. 18 screens, a full concession selection, and best if all- auditorium-style seating with ultra wide reclining seats. Even with a full theater you don't get the "Sardine Effect" from venues with narrower seats. Obviously theaters have been hit hard by the pandemic, so I am not going to hold. Any streamlined operations against them. And in spite of this, the bathrooms were clean, the auditoriums were clean, the lines moved quickly, and the popcorn was fresh! read more

UpSo, my bestie and I went to AMC to see the new BTS documentary "Break the Silence". Side note, I need them to go on tour soon, because I can't take it anymore, I need to see my boys! Anyways....this is my first time back at the movies since they reopened and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. Now because they have not been open long, everything was clean and the theaters were great! I am a sucker for recliners in theaters, so coming here was a perfect choice, not to mention the seats were mega comfortable. I am also a big stickler for sound quality in theaters and I will say it was perfect last night, with amazing surround sound (Theater 18). To cap it off, AMC is running a $5 special for food and drinks until October 31st, which was nice. Personally, this is the best time to go to the movies. They have spaced out seating, everyone has to wear masks, and the facilities are clean because with COVID-19 fewer people are patronizing movie theaters. I truly missed going to the movies since the pandemic started and tonight I was convinced to become an avid moviegoer again! read more

We frequent this location often. We went yesterday to see the new Black Panther movie. They now have new kiosk to order food. I must say, it's not very efficient. No one really knows how to work it and it took forever for me to just receive popcorn. The old way of ordering worked fine. You know what they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it. The seats are great and very comfortable. The seating is inclined every row so the row in front of you does not get in the way. For the bigger screen rooms even the second row, B, is not too close to the screen, but for smaller screens it is too close. I have always loved their popcorn but am wondering if they changed the butter/oil used? When I got it this time it tasted oily and it never has before, bummer, hope that was just a mess up! And as always, for the entire public viewing pleasure, unless it is a kid's movie, DON'T BRING YOUR BABY/TODDLER in the theatre with you because that is & will always be an a-hole move. First and foremost, this is by far the WORST movie theater I have stepped into. There are plenty of reasons that stand behind my opinion. I've been to a number of movie theaters and of course noticed things here and there but this was a horrible experience. For starters, they have kiosks rather than registers so you enter your order yourself. I needed assistance and the person I spoke to had the most nonchalant, unpleasant, unenthusiastic, dry attitude and 90% of the staff had the same demeanor. The lobby was disgusting and drink machines had practically nothing available. Everything looked unsanitary and needed attention. I overheard a customer stating that their seats were taken because the theater is "overbooking seats", as well as another customer complaining about their seat being ripped and torn. As someone who worked in fast food and currently works in retail, I understand how it is to have a long day and deal with a rush but some things are unacceptable. I do give credit when it's due so I will say the seats recline to a point where you're almost laying down and the rows are decently distanced from each other so you're able to sit comfortably but that's as good as it gets. read more

We bought tickets online with select seating for a movie at 12:10. When we arrived we're told they cancelled the movie and we would have to wait until the 1:10 showing. I asked her why we didn't get any notice and she said she didn't know. Okay. We decided to make the best of it and wait. When I looked at the seating online I realized they had sold the selected seats to someone else. I asked an employee about it and she confirmed that we had lost our seats to the people that bought the 1:10 showing and the only ones available were the first row, which is really too close to be enjoyable. She called her manager, Brandon Smith to make it right for us for the inconvenience. He told us we could either take the seats, get a refund and leave, or wait for a 4:00 showing. We had already wasted two hours driving there and waiting for the next movie. We have received free tickets for any problems before - I asked could he at least meet us halfway for the inconvenience. He told us his GM, Roger Ellis, said this is how they do things. I asked to speak with him and he refused to contact him even though he said he was in his office. We used to really like this theater but it's rally gone downhill. Even though our eyes were bleeding after sitting in the front row it was the cleanest in the theater - all the good seats were filthy. read more

Went in to watch Batman at 8:45pm. From the beginning of the movie, a blue and orange static appeared. I went out and let the manager at the moment Brent know and he said he would see what he could do. Once the theater went pitch black he came back in and notified all the guests that there was nothing to do and this was out of his hands. For a company like AMC not to have a back up plan for stuff like this is unbelievable. I get it, stuff happens. But all we were given, was a pass to one movie. We wasted gas, time, money on food, and nothing else was able to be given to us. I've been visiting this theater since I can remember but I definitely won't be going back. Seems to me as if all of the AMC theaters have really stepped up. It has been over 10 years since I've been to a theater as I have Netflix and Amazon Prime movies to rely on. I went to see Once upon a time in Hollywood. It was nearly a perfect movie as I didn't like the way they portrayed Bruce Lee. If they would have portrayed him the way he actually was, I would have given it 2 thumbs up. All in all, good movie, NOT GREAT, but good. I was introduced to the package they have for the $21.95 plus taxes for the A-list membership. It gives you 3 movies a week to watch for free plus a popcorn refill. So basically make sure you order the large popcorn and drink as it is a free upgrade by having the membership. I especially loved the reclining seating. It was very comfortable watching the movie with great surround sound plus the screen size. I thought someone was whispering something behind me and had to look back a few times, but it was the system and nothing else. I'm part of the A-List club now so I'll make sure I'm putting it to good use. I especially love the dine in AMC theaters also. You can grab dinner and a movie at the same time as well as cocktails. read more

Why does it always take me 10 minutes to get a ticket when there is nobody in line in front of me? Recently, I went to purchase tickets for "The Joker" at 8pm. The cashier showed me there werent 3 seats together, so I walked away. I told my wife we needed to pick another film because there wasnt seating. Where she was sitting, she could see the theater where there was an 8:30pm showing of "The Joker". Now why didnt the cashier bother to let me know? At the concession stand, nobody knew how to enter my pre-paid coupon for a popcorn, including the manager, who just walked away after unsuccessfully attempting to enter the coupon. Most of the workers are lackadaisical, including most of management. Nobody is exuding a "I want to be here" vibe. My daughter wanted to apply for a job here, but I told her no, because if none of the other workers seem like they like it here, you wont either. read more
